The Korean Mafia (Jopok) were very active from 1910-1988, but when Rhee Syngman was elected president he started to crackdown on the organised crime. Yeongdeungpo neighborhood has the highest murder rate in Seoul, a red light district and I remember seeing a mafioso looking character in this area a while back. So this seems the best area to explore in search of the Jopok.
The idea for this video came from my friend who sent me a photo of a group of Koreans having a meeting by the harbour in Incheon. What do you think of this photo?

The Agora Gallery, Chelsea, NYC proudly presented the exhibition Out From Down Under & Beyond: Fine Art from Australia and New Zealand through June 1st, 2010. The opening reception for the exhibition took place on May 13th, 2010. This collective exhibition showcased unique perspectives from artists living in and around the sunny Pacific. They use an incredible range of themes, motifs, and techniques to explore the boundaries of abstraction and representation. Whether they're interpreting humanity, nature, or internal experiences, these artists approach universal themes with a vibrant and exhilarating perspective.
The exhibition Agora Gallery presents Out From Down Under & Beyond: Fine Art from Australia and New Zealand has been running since the year 2003. Participating artist Tracey Keller would love for her audience to experience a complete feeling of joy and happiness when they view her work. She tries to achieve this through the medium of color.
The exhibition ran from May 11th - June 1st, 2010 at the Art Gallery's, Chelsea, NYC location.
