Cayman Islands - Best things to do! Catamaran, Snorkeling..
Grand Cayman is one of the most beautiful islands in the Caribbean with the crystal clear waters, white sand beaches, snorkeling off a catamaran, and beautiful weather. Our short time in Grand Cayman was filled with activities, swimming with sting rays, riding horses in the ocean, and walking the white sand on seven mile beach. The cayman islands are perfect for honeymooners, families, and adventurers as there's something for everyone. During our time there, we stayed at the Ritz Carlton Grand Cayman. This is one of, if not the best hotel on the island.

Attractions - Cayman Islands
The Cayman Islands have an abundance of wildlife and nature that is at home in our wonderful tropical climate. Take a leisurely stroll around our Botanic Park to learn about local plants and trees and see plenty of wild iguanas, swim with the dolphins at one or both of Grand Caymans dedicated attractions or take a boat to Stingray City and swim with the stingrays. Our unique turtle farm enables the Islands to safely breed and release turtles back into the wild, maintaining an important food source for our Islands inhabitants.
Best Place to Stay Grand Cayman
Cruise Ship & Island Travel Gear & Advice -
The Cayman Islands are a fantastic place to vacation! I've been to Grand Cayman several times and wanted to share my Cayman travel advice with everyone. There are two excellent places to stay on Grand Cayman. Seven Mile Beach is likely the most well-known and popular area. There are plenty of hotels and vacation rentals on Seven Mile Beach. The Westin and Ritz-Carlton are the two top resorts on Seven Mile Beach. There are plenty of bars and restaurants right on Seven Mile Beach. For a little more privacy and adventure, I recommend staying on the northern side of the island near Rum Point. Rum Point is a fantastic beach and is less touristy than Seven Mile Beach. Rum Point comes with a trade-off though, as the big grocery stores, shopping, etc. are close to Georgetown which is about a 45 minutes drive from Rum Point. The drive is definitely not a problem though. Please share this video with others. Filmed with Canon XA10 camera. Contains royalty-free music from .

Travel to Grand Cayman Island with Monica Walton | Jetsetter.com
Looking for up-close encounters with beautiful wildlife? Pristine beaches? Incredible Caribbean cuisine? The biggest isle in the Cayman Islands—just an hour's flight from Miami—has it all. Don’t forget to subscribe!
0:50 Stingray City:
One of Cayman’s quintessential experiences is paying a visit to Stingray City, a collection of shallow sandbars in Grand Cayman’s North Sound home to a surprising number of—you guessed it—stingrays. It may be touristy, but there’s arguably no place easier (or more beautiful) to get up close and personal with these beautiful marine creatures. Five Star Charters gets you there in style, and has snorkeling gear, snacks, and drinks, and even a jet ski on board for excursions to Starfish Point (where you can see and hold live starfish) if you’d like to extend your afternoon of fun.
2:02 Barkers Beach:
Horseback riding on the beach is one of those pinch-me moments every animal lover should experience, and one of the best spots to do it is Barkers Beach. Part of Barkers National Park in West Bay, it's lined with dense mangroves and remains a beloved, uncrowded spot for taking a dip. Book a tour with Pampered Ponies and you’ll be able to take one of their horses out onto its untouched shores at the time of your choosing, be it early morning, at sunset, or under the moonlight. For an added experience, they’ll even de-saddle your horse so you can ride them bareback right into the sea. (Don’t worry—they love it!)

Seven Mile Beach, Grand Cayman - How to Enjoy the World's Best Beach FREE of Charge!
I often hear people on social media remarking and complaining about how much they paid just to sit and lounge on Seven Mile Beach here in sunny Grand Cayman. I always feel bad when I hear those kinds of comments, because as someone who grew up on the island, I know all too well how unnecessary that expense is, even for a visitor! So here I am providing some tips on how to enjoy the beach while avoiding the cost of beach chairs, drinks, food etc.!
Grand Cayman: Island Tour (Perfect for the Whole Family!)
Visiting Grand Cayman on a cruise? This video shows some of the highlights from the island tour. Your guide will take you past interesting houses such as the governor's mansion, how the locals live, a stop at the Tortuga Rum Co. where you can sample rum and rum cake, the dolphin discovery (and the turtle farm, right across the street), and ends at 7 mile beach. You can stay here for the rest of your day, or the tour does include a drop off back at the pier.
We booked on the pier (not through the cruise line) and it was affordable and informative! I would recommend it to families, people looking to save money, and those who have nothing planned for this stop.

GRAND CAYMAN (2018) WALKING TOUR - George Town & cruise port in winter (Christmas)
If you're wondering what to do in a day - in this slow tv tour, we arrive at George Town Grand Cayman cruise port by tender boat. In Grand Cayman snorkeling from shore is possible just a few yards from the cruise port. We pass several beach front bars and seaside grills that allow their customers to swim and snorkel.
One of the best free things to do in Grand Cayman cruise port at Christmas, is to just explore the multicolored seafront, with ships of all sizes moored out to sea in the background.
We pass through one of the main George Town shopping malls, (where you'll find coffee shops and free wifi - Grand Cayman cruise port shopping is no different than anywhere else!)
With so many bars and a glistening waterfront, one of the best things to do in Grand Cayman at Christmas is simply soaking up the sun, as the Grand Cayman weather at this time is perfect.
How do we afford to travel so often? We're lucky enough to stay for almost free in every city, using

Cayman Islands Department of Tourism - Unravel Travel TV
Nestled in the calm, turquoise waters of the western Caribbean, lies the peaceful British Overseas Territory known as the Cayman Islands. Consisting of three islands just 480 miles south of Miami, Grand Cayman, Cayman Brac, and Little Cayman remain our little piece of paradise.
The Cayman Islands highest official is the Governor, His Excellency, Mr. Duncan Taylor, CBE, who is the appointed representative of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. He presides over Cabinet, the ruling body of the country. Mr. Taylor succeeded Mr. Stuart Jack, CVO. The Governor's term is four years. The existing constitution of the Cayman Islands, introduced on August 22, 1972, provides for the government of the Cayman Islands as a British Overseas Territory. It established a governing body called the Cabinet, which consists of three officials and five elected members, the latter being selected from the 15 elected representatives of the Legislative Assembly. To see the 15 elected representatives or to get more information visit the Cayman Islands Government website.
The Cayman Islands has its own currency, first issued in 1972, whose basic unit is the dollar, issued in notes with denominations of CI$100, 50, 25, 10, 5 and 1 and coins valued at 25 cents, 10, 5 and 1 cent. The CI dollar has a fixed exchange rate with the US dollar of CI$1.00 equals US$1.25. Or, the US dollar equals CI $.80. There is no need for visitors to exchange their US dollars into local currency. The US dollar is accepted throughout the islands at a rate of CI 80 cents. However, this can be confusing to visitors: for example, a US$20 note becomes CI$16. Banks do NOT give a better rate of exchange! Major credit cards (with the exception of the Discover Card) and traveller's checks are widely accepted. Canadian dollars, Euro dollars and pounds sterling can be exchanged for CI dollars at local banks. In addition, Automatic Teller Machines accepting VISA and MasterCard with Cirrus affiliation are located at Cayman National Bank and other banks and at Owen Roberts International Airport as well as a few other locations such as the grocery stores.
The total land mass of the three islands is 100 square miles. Grand Cayman occupies 76 square miles; Cayman Brac, 14 square miles and Little Cayman, 10 square miles. Grand Cayman is approximately 22 miles long and 8 miles at its widest point, reaching a maximum elevation of 79.77 feet in North Side.
Cayman Brac is 14 miles long and 2 miles wide and has the most dramatic topography of the trio. Its majestic Bluff rises west to east along the length of the island to 151.75 above Spot Bay. Many mysterious caves are carved throughout this awe-inspiring natural attraction.
Little Cayman, only 10 miles long and a mile wide, is flat, reaching a maximum elevation of 55.75 ft. Its famous Bloody Bay wall Marine Park has been called one of the world's best dive sites. Inland, the 203 - acre Booby Pond Nature Reserve is a RAMSAR site and nesting ground for the Caribbean's largest population of Red Footed Boobies.

Scuba Diving at Grand Cayman Islands
One of the most famous natural attractions in Grand Cayman Island is Stingray City. This is an area in the ocean not far from the northern tip of Grand Cayman where tourists can get up close to hundreds of friendly stingrays. Stingray City will be one of the organized tours from cruise ships visiting Grand Cayman as a port of call. There will also be tours available from local operators in the town of Georgetown where the cruise ships dock and bring passengers into town via tender boats. The cruise organized tours will almost always be the more expensive option.

Cayman island beach, Caribbean USA - Best Thing To Do and Know | TRAVEL FUN GUIDE
Cayman island beach, Caribbean USA - Best Thing To Do and Know.
The Cayman Islands have become some of the most popular Caribbean destinations for an active vacation: hiking, golfing, snorkeling, diving, sailing and much more are popular. The bigger Grand Cayman offers more activities, like sunning at Seven Mile Beach or spending 10 kitschy minutes in Hell, but trips to the slower-paced and smaller islands of Cayman Brac or Little Cayman make for great day trips or relaxing, longer getaways.
Why Go to Cayman Islands.
The charming Cayman Islands continue to be a coveted Caribbean getaway for both adventurous and more immobile travelers. Gorgeous barrier reefs call to divers as the rum punch calls to the beach bums. Honeymooners hike through the 200-year-old Mastic Trail as parents take their children for interactive swims at Stingray City. Whichever way you choose to mellow out, the Cayman Islands can oblige.
The Cayman Islands are an archipelago of three islands, lying 90 miles south of Cuba. The largest, Grand Cayman, is full of gargantuan resorts with all-inclusive options, perfect for those who prefer pre-planned itineraries and don't mind sharing the sights with cruise crowds. For freewheeling vacationers, the less-traveled Cayman Brac and Little Cayman offer some of the best diving in the Caribbean.

Using Public Transport in Grand Cayman
I made a comment regarding the Cayman Public transport system being almost non existent in a previous video that got a few comments and messages asking for more information. So I thought I'd film myself using the public transport system in Grand Cayman for a day. The public transport system consists of a few buses traveling down some specific routes with no real schedule and very few bus stops outside of the main tourist areas.
This isn't the first time I've relied on public transport, I didn't have a car for over a week at one stage and had to rely on lifts and buses to get everywhere. So trust me when I say, unless you purposefully live and work near bus stops or on bus routes, relying on public transport is not as easy as in the states or Europe. You may have to walk long distances in the Caribbean humidity or through down pours with poor road drainage. Buses don't run on Sundays so expect to bum rides or walk wherever you need to go. It's definitely possible to survive and some people do, although you will spend a significant amount of time commuting compared to a few minutes in your own car. An improvement in this system with some full size buses could transform our congested roads on this island, so I hope there will be some positive change soon. Until then, if you can afford it a car is still your best option in the Cayman Islands.

Living in the Cayman Islands as an Expat Family No Income Tax No Snow Just Beach and Palm Trees
Living in the Cayman Islands as an Expat Family No Income Tax No Snow Just Beach and Palm Trees Plus pay off your student loans while living on a tropical island in the caribbean. Students and professionals are needed in the Cayman Islands to power the tourist and offshore investment economy. Many Expats from around the world live and work in the Cayman Islands for a few years at a time to live out the fantasy of tropical island living. We did it, we loved it and would recommend it. For a student with college debts it is the perfect way to earn tax free income and pay off large debts fast and also begin to save up cash for future studies, a long trip, or even a downpayment on a house. There are young people singles and couples who work a year or two and then travel the world. There are no rules, just dreams and endless possibilities. I never thought I could move to a tropical tax free island with my wife and 10 year old daughter, but we did it. Se sold off all the furniture, the car, and moved to the Cayman Islands. Once we got there it was easy to replace furniture and a car there. When we left the island a few years later, we sold the furniture and the car easily. Stuff is just stuff... But the memories and new friendships last forever. Plus the work experience comes in handy down the road as it looks good on a resume.
