Shaheed Minar, Dhaka - The Shaheed Minar is a national monument in Dhaka, Bangladesh, established to commemorate those killed during the Bengali Language Movement demonstrations of 1952 in then East Pakistan

Bangladesh National Museum - The Bangladesh National Museum, originally established on 20 March 1913, albeit under another name, and formally inaugurated on 7 August 1913, was accorded the status of the national museum of Bangladesh on 17 November 1983

Ahsan Manzil - Ahsan Monjil was the official residential palace and seat of the Nawab of Dhaka. The building is situated at Kumartoli along the banks of the Buriganga River in Dhaka, Bangladesh. Construction was started in 1859 and was completed in 1872. It was constructed in the Indo-Saracenic Revival architecture. It has been designated as a national museum.

Dhakeshwari Temple - Dhakeshwari National Temple is a Hindu temple in Dhaka, Bangladesh. It is state-owned, giving it the distinction of being Bangladesh's 'National Temple'. The name Dhakeshwari means Goddess of Dhaka.

National Martyrs' Memorial ( Jatiyo Sriti Shoudho ) - National Martyrs’ Memorial is the national monument of Bangladesh, set up in the memory of the valour and the sacrifice of all those who gave their lives in the Bangladesh Liberation War of 1971, which brought independence and separated Bangladesh from Pakistan. The monument is located in Savar, about 35 km north-west of the capital, Dhaka.It was designed by Syed Mainul Hossain.

Sajek Valley - Sajek Valley is an emerging tourist spot in Bangladesh situated among the hills of Kasalong range of mountains in Sajek union, Baghaichhari Upazila in Rangamati District. The valley is 2000 feet above sea level.

The Sundarbans - Sundarban is a natural region in southern Bangladesh and the extreme southern part of the Indian state of West Bengal in the vast river delta on the Bay of Bengal. It is the largest single block of tidal halophytic mangrove forest in the world. The Sundarbans covers approximately 10,000 square kilometres (3,900 sq mi) most of which is in Bangladesh with the remainder in India.The Sundarbans is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.[5]

Sundarbans South, East and West are three protected forests in Bangladesh. This region is densely covered by mangrove forests, and is the largest reserves for the Bengal tiger. The Sundarbans National Park is a National Park, Tiger Reserve, and a Biosphere Reserve located in the Sundarbans delta in the Indian state of West Bengal.

Rangamati- Rangamati is a district in south-eastern Bangladesh. It is a part of the Chittagong Division and the town of Rangamati serves as the headquarters of the district. Area-wise, Rangamati is the largest district of the country

Kuakata sea beach - Kuakata is a town known for its panoramic sea beach. It is located in south-eastern Bangladesh, and is the number two tourist destination in the country. Kuakata beach is a sandy expanse 18 kilometres (11 mi) long and 3 kilometres (1.9 mi) wide.[3] From the beach one can have an unobstructed view of both sunrise and sunset over the Bay of Bengal.

8) Hussaini Dalan, Dhaka
Hussaini dalan was built during the reign of Mughal rule in Dhaka. First it was built as the Lmambara or as the house of the Imam for the Shia community . The venue of this dalan for majlis or gatherings held during the Muharram , mostly shia community visit this place .

4) Sixty Dome Mosque
The Sixty Dome Mosque known as Shait Gambuj Mosque , It is one of the largest mosque and built in Sultanate period . The construction of the masque as started in 1442 and it was completed in 1459 . Shalban vihara is an archaeological site in Mainamati, Comilla, Bangladesh. The ruins are in the middle of the Lalmai hills ridge, and these are of a 7th century Paharpur-style Buddhist viharas with about 100 cells for monks.
2) Lalbagh Fort, Dhaka
The construction of the Lalbagh fort was started in 1678 AD by Mughal Subahdar Muhammad Azam Shah the son of the emperor Aurangzeb and later emperor himself. It is an incomplete fort 17th century Mughal complex in Dhaka . The architecture of this fort attracts many tourists .

It is a small island in the northeastern part of the Bay of Bengal. Nilgiri or Nil Giri or Neelgiri is one of the tallest peaks and beautiful tourist spots in Bandarban, Bangladesh. It is a hilly state in northeast India, bordered on 3 sides by Bangladesh and home to a diverse mix of tribal cultures and religious groups. In the capital Agartala, the imposing Ujjayanta Palace is set among Mughal gardens, and Gedu Mia’s Mosque has white marble domes and towers. South of the city, Neermahal summer palace sits in the middle of Lake Rudrasagar and blends Hindu and Islamic architectural styles. Here is a list of top 10 places to visit in Tripura.


1) Ujjayanta Palace, Agartala
The palace was constructed between 1899 and 1901 by the Tripura king, Maharaja Radha Kishore Manikya, and stands on the banks of a small lake surrounded by Mughal gardens. It was the home of the ruling Manikya dynasty until the Tripura`s accession to India in October 1949. The palace was purchased from the royal family by the Tripura government in 1972-73 for Rs. 2.5 million, and was used to house the state legislative assembly until July 2011. Ujjayanta Palace is now a state museum and it showcases the lifestyle, arts, culture, tradition and utility crafts of communities residing in northeast India.


2) Neermahal, Melaghar
Known as ‘lake palace’ of Tripura, Neer-Mahal was constructed as a summer residence. It was Maharaja Bir Bikram Manikya Bahadur’s idea to build a palace in the beautiful Rudrasagar lake and in 1921 he accredited the British company Martin and Burns to construct the palace for him. The company took nine years to complete the work.


3) Sipahijola Wildlife Sanctuary, Bishalgarh
It is a woodland with an artificial lake and natural botanical and zoological gardens. It is famous for its clouded leopard enclosures. The sanctuary contains a variety of birds, primates, and other animals. The terrain is green throughout the year and the weather is temperate except for the two humid summer months of March and April. It gives shelter to about 150 species of birds and the unique bespectacled monkey, Phayre's langur.


4) Tripura Sundari Temple, Udaipur
Popularly known as Matabari, crowns in a small hillock and is served by the red-robed priests who traditionally, minister to the mother goddess Tripura Sundari. Considered to be one of the 51 Shakti Peethas, consists of a square type sanctum of the typical Bengali hut. It is believed that Sati's right foot fell here during Lord Shiva's Dance.


5) Mahamuni, Manubankul village
A beautiful pagoda was also built at Mahamuni. A famous week long fair is held every year in the month of March-April. The Temple attracts thousands of Buddhist and non Buddhist pilgrims from every corner of the state as well as from neighbouring countries like, Myanmar, Thailand, Srilanka and Bangladesh.


6) Gunabati Temples,Udaipur
It reveals that it was built in the name of Her Highness Maharani Gunabati (Wife of Maharaja Govinda Manikya), in 1668 A.D. The two other temples also bear contemporary look but their actual history is still to be unveiled. Architecture of these temples resembles other contemporary temples of Tripura except that the topmost parts are without Stupa.


7) Unakoti, Kailasahar
It means one less than a crore and it is said that these many rock cut carvings are available here. As per Hindu mythology, when Lord Shiva was going to Kashi along with one crore gods and goddesses he made a night halt at this location. He asked all the gods and goddesses to wake up before sun rise and proceed for Kashi.It is said that in the morning, except Shiva himself, no one else could get up so Lord Shiva set out for Kashi himself cursing the others to become stone images. As a result we have one less than a crore stone images and carvings at Unakoti.


8) Heritage Park, Agartala
Entrance to the park has an imposing gate, which depicts the rich tribal and nontribal cultural heritage of Tripura. The park has three parts, viz. (i) mini-Tripura located in about three acre of land at the entrance (ii) central area being raised as natural forest and (iii) a plain table land with medicinal plants, herbs and shrubs. There is also a walking track of 1.1 kilometer running along the periphery of the park.


9) Kamala Sagar Lake
A vast lake on the edge of the border with Bangladesh was excavated by Maharaja Dhanya Manikya in 15th century. On the river bank of kamalasagar, there is a famous temple of Goddess Kali dating back to 16th century. It is one of the excellent picnic spots in the state with scenic beauty. A mela is held here every October during the Navaratri festival.


10) Jampui Hill
The average altitude of the hill range is approximately 1000 meters above sea level, The view of rising and setting sun from various view points in Jampui hills is a wonderful sight for the tourists. Meghalaya is a state in Northeast India. The name means the abode of clouds in Sanskrit. The state is bounded to the south by the Bangladeshi divisions of Mymensingh and Sylhet, to the west by the Bangladeshi division of Rangpur, and to the north and east by India's State of Assam. The capital of Meghalaya is Shillong. During the British rule of India, the British imperial authorities nicknamed it the Scotland of the East.

1. Elephant Falls :
Named after an Elephant like stone at its foot, the Elephant Falls are amongst the most popular falls in the North-East, situated next to Shillong. It is a tourists' paradise with three layers of the falls accessible to the layman from different vantage points. The Britishers named this fall so owing to the presence of an elephant-shaped rock on one side of the fall.

2. Double Decker Living Root Bridge :
Located in the thick tropical forest of Meghalaya, cloaked with rain during most part of the year are the fantastic man-made cum natural wonders of the living root bridges. Created by the people of the Khasi tribe, these roots grow from the ancient rubber trees, seen only in the northeast region. These roots are trained by the Khasis to grow in such a manner as be in the form of bridges on the top of a river. The most popular tourist attraction of Cherrapunjee, these double decker living root bridges are 2 bridges that are stacked one on the other, made because of the entanglement of roots.

3. Mawlynnong Cleanest Village :
The cleanest village in India, Mawlynnong Village is also known as God’s Own Garden and for all the right reasons. In 2003, Mawlynnong was awarded the title of the cleanest Village in Asia by Discover India. Alongside cleanliness, the village have achieved a lot- be it 100 percent literacy rate, or a women empowerment scenario that the rest of the world can only dream of.

4. Shillong View Point :
Standing at an altitude of 1965 metres, Shillong View Point stands at the highest peak in the province of Himalayas. You get to enjoy a panoramic view of the city of Shillong from here. Himalayan ranges also look mesmerizing and beautiful from this point. This attraction in Shillong comes under military area but is open to the public. You can rent a telescope from some locals to get a closer glimpse of the forested lush green mountains.

5. Laitlum Canyon :
The view of the Canyons will strongly remind you of the Scottish Highlands at their best. Also referred to as the “Sit Valley” by the locals... the Laitlum Canyons are an hour’s drive away from Shillong right there on the Mizoram highway. Laitlum Canyons literally translates to “end of hills” and it does justice to its name. The tourist flow to this spectacular place is relatively less and though this means inconvenience... there are no restrooms or proper eateries nearby, the beauty of the place has managed to remain unspoilt.

6. Dawki River (Umngot river) :
Umngot River or Dawki stream is a little waterway that courses through Dawki in the East Jaintia Hills. Its a completely clear waterway which is uncommon to discover in India, one can see the whole impression of the watercraft and it gives the inclination that the vessel is flying. The stream closes at the global outskirt of India Bangladesh.

7. Nohkalikai Falls :
Nohkalikai Falls is the tallest plunge waterfall in India. Its height is 1115 feet. The waterfall is located near Cherrapunji, one of the wettest places on Earth. Nohkalikai Falls are fed by the rainwater collected on the summit of a comparatively small plateau and decrease in power during the dry season in December - February.

8. Mawsmai Cave :
Situated around 6 Kms from Cherrapunjee, the Mawsmai Caves are a major crowd puller that leaves tourists spellbound. These limestone caves have the distinction of being the only caves in Meghalaya that are lit enough to enable tourists to enjoy the natural formations in awe.

9. Don Bosco Musuem :
Don Bosco Museum, is a theme museum that has a repository of information on the entire north eastern states of Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Meghalaya, Manipur, Mizoram, Nagaland and Tripura. The museum exhibits a wide collection of regional artwork, attires, accoutrements, handicrafts, ornamentation, photographs and weapons.

10. Umiam Lake :
Umiam Lake (commonly known as Barapani Lake) is a reservoir in the hills 15 km (9.3 mi) north of Shillong in the state of Meghalaya, India. It was created by damming the Umiam River in the early 1960s. The principal catchment area of the lake and dam is spread over 220 square km.

Shillong, the capital of medhalaya, has been one of the most popular tourist destinations in the northeast india. It is situated at an attitude of 1,520 meters (4,990 feet) above sea level. It is situated on a plateau bound on the north by the Umiam gorge, on the northwest by the great mass of the Diengiei Hills that rise up to a height of 1,823 meters (6077 ft.) above sea level, and on the northeast by the hills of the Assam valley. It is also known as the Scotland of the East due to its striking similarity with the Scottish highlands. 5. Ward's Lake :
Ward's lake is a must-visit place when in this pristine north-eastern city. Also known as Pollock's Lake, this artificial water body is encircled by an extensive lush garden and lies in the middle of the city.

6. Lady Hydari Park :
