Things to do in Vanuatu (with Rob's mum) | Port Vila, Vanuatu

For Rob's mum's milestone birthday, we flew her to Port Vila, Vanuatu, a beautiful little island in the South Pacific. It was a great way for her to get some warmth in the height of winter where she lives in Australia. Our favourite thing to do (aside from all the relaxing we did at Tamanu on the Beach) was this Tamanu tour. Our first stop on the tour was the Reef Zoological, which is a sanctuary for some endangered turtles and other animals native to Vanuatu.

WHO WE ARE
We are Nicole and Rob. Nicole was born in the Philippines and Rob in Australia, but through the magic of the internet we met each other more than a decade ago and eventually ended up getting married. We moved from Melbourne, Australia to Maastricht, the Netherlands two years ago, taking the leap across continents to see more of Europe. This vlog is primarily a way for us to document this special time in our lives, but it's great to have you along for the ride as well.

Best Destinations of FIJI

Fiji officially the Republic of the Fiji Islands, is an island nation in the South Pacific Ocean east of Vanuatu, west of Tonga and south of Tuvalu. The country comprises an archipelago of about 322 islands, of which 106 are permanently inhabited, and 522 islets. The two major islands, Viti Levu and Vanua Levu, account for 87% of the population.

As far as getting around the destination itself in Fiji, it's a grouping of islands. You will be on a boat, at least most of the time. So there you have the option of cruise liner, yatch, and motorboats. Be it as a transfer to your hotel, or on an excursion or activity at the resort. And most of the resorts in Fiji include a wet Landing where guests will actually wade ankle deep in water to the sandy beach. Aside from boats, most of the areas will require an additional flight in small planes and van transfers. If you crave those bright blue, clear waters, seclusion, surrounded by lush lands and bright blue sky, you will need to take a small plane followed by land transfer to get there. Though there are some amazing properties on the main island of Viti Levu, most resorts there do not have the beautiful ocean so many clients think of when they picture Fiji. So be prepared for lots of traveling, but it is worth it.

AMBRYM VLOG | VANUATU - Ep 1 : Ready for Volcano Climbing

Vanuatu ????????

Let's Kick the adventure in Vanuatu!

Let me share my Tips in Port Vila.

On Wednesday 10th October, 2018 I flew from Brisbane to Port Vila and I stayed only one day and half to prepare and pack up everything for the trekking on Friday.

I decided to travel to the first island Ambrym - famous for his two active Volcanos Marum and Benbow.

I stayed at Blue Pango Motel - cheap and nearby the city - Viisited the city, got used to the local price, withdrew enough money and bought food for the trekking.

I was ready to start a ONE MONTH crazy adventure in Vanuatu, climb active volcanos, chill on paradise beach and meet awesome and the kindest people.

Stay tuned to watch my journey EVERY WEEK !
