???? DAVID’S BEEN HERE SHIRTS & MERCH:
Welcome to Singapore, one of the smallest countries in the world. Singapore is an island state located off the southern tip of the Malaysian peninsula in Southeast Asia.
Besides being the world’s 2nd wealthiest country (second only to Qatar), Singapore is extremely clean and safe, boasting superior air quality and of course tons of great things to see, do and eat!
Welcome to Gardens by the Bay one of the most amazing and botanical gardens in the world. A few things you can see here is the flower dome, the cloud forest, several gardens and the supertrees.
The Supertrees are living and breathing sculptures rising above the gardens. For epic views, head up to the top of these supertrees and stroll along the 22-meter-high aerial walkway known as the Skyway to experience the Marina Bay area from a bird’s eye view.
Next up we visit China Town! It's a great place to do some souvenir shopping, eat some local Chinese food and walk around.
One of the highlights about visiting Singapore is to eat at a hawker center. This is a huge food court full of stalls. You need to eat Indian, Malaysian and Chinese. It's very inexpensive!
The Marina Bay Sands Hotel is one of Asia’s most iconic buildings and home to the world’s most renowned infinity pool. To visit the pool you must be a guest of the hotel, but you can experience incredible views from the Skypark observation deck or from one of the 57th floor restaurants.
Welcome to the Singapore Zoo! It was founded in 1973, we take a quick tour through the zoo to see the asian animals. Singapore Zoo was the first zoo in the world to have free roaming orangutans.
The River Safari is located right next to the Singapore Zoo. It’s a fascinating journey through some of the world’s largest river systems like the Nile and the Mississippi. I was especially excited to visit the Giant Panda Forest.
We are inside Thian Hock Keng Temple. It was constructed in the 1840s using the best materials from China at the time. In 1973 it was declared a national monument. Admission is free!
Orchard Road is a major tourist attraction, and when you look around it’s easy to see why. This is where you come for some serious retail therapy, and with more than 10 shopping centers, there is plenty to choose from. The 20-storey Paragon is perhaps the most famous along the strip, with stores like Gucci, Prada and Burberry. It boasts over 200 stores in all.
The Singapore Flyer is the worlds largest observation wheel. This ferris wheel has 28 capsules, each fits 28 people and it takes 28 minutes to do a complete rotation.
Little India is where the Indian community settled in over 200 years ago. Now a days it is a commercial district. They have converted these shop houses into restaurants, shops, jewelry stores and offices. It's a great place to buy gold and try indian food!
Singapore’s Changi Airport is second to none! You may actually want to have a layover here because of how many things there are to do – from a butterfly garden, to shopping and dining, relaxation areas, movie theatre, art installations, a swimming pool, and much much more.
Changi is my favorite airport in the world!

KEYWORD: TOP 10 Places to visit in Singapore.
10. Marina Bay Sands
If construction costs are a traveler’s bag, then they’ll delight in seeing the Marina Bay Sands, a resort that cost US$5.7 billion to build, making it the world’s most expensive building when it opened in 2010.
9. Singapore Flyer
The Singapore Flyer is a giant Ferris wheel, only with benefits, that only start with the stunning views below. Cars hold up to 28 people as they circle above the city. When it opened in 2008, it was the highest Ferris wheel in the world, reaching 165 meters (541 feet) up into the Singaporean sky. With advance notice, the Flyer can accommodate disabled guests in wheelchairs.
8. Buddha Tooth Relic Temple
The Chinese build temples to a lot of gods and other things, but the Buddha Tooth Relic Temple is one of the more unusual. In the late 1980s when a Buddhist temple was first proposed for Singapore’s Chinatown, it was supposed to become a more traditional temple. Somewhere along the line it became the Tooth Relic Temple, a home for a tooth relic from Buddha.
7. Night Safari
Travelers who enjoy nightlife but are tired of the club scene should head over to Night Safari where nocturnal, not party, animals are on display. Since it opened in 1984, it is one of Singapore’s top attractions, with more than one million people annually enjoying a tram ride through seven of the world’s geographic regions. Visitors also can take a trail walk to learn more about animal habits while another section features a show on the organization’s work to preserve threatened species through captive breeding programs. Three restaurants features menus and entertainment that reflect life in the jungle or rainforest.
6. Singapore Botanic Gardens
Travelers on a budget will appreciate the Singapore Botanic Gardens as most of the gardens are free; there is only a charge for the National Orchid Garden, the most visited section of the garden. The garden contains more than 60,000 species of plants and animals, and is home to the world’s first children’s garden. Past visitors rave about the tropical greenery of the gardens.
5. Gardens by the Bay
Gardens by the Bay is a recent addition to Singapore’s tourist attractions, but is one that gardeners won’t want to miss visiting. Open less than a decade, Gardens by the Bay is built on reclaimed land in central Singapore.
4. Raffles Hotel
Raffles Hotel, with its graceful colonial style, is the face of Singapore. Since it opened in 1887, it quickly became THE place to stay in Singapore, with writers Rudyard Kipling, Somerset Maugham and Ernest Hemingway, among others, adding to its fame. This epitome of luxury boasts 15 restaurants and bars, including the Long Bar where the cocktail Singapore Sling was invented. The Raffles Hotel is legendary the world over, down to the uniformed Sikh doormen who introduce guests to this bit of Southeast Asian history. The lobby of the main building is open to the public while the hotel museum is hidden away on the 3rd floor.
3. Clarke Quay
Clarke Quay is another part of Singapore’s past that is still a happening place today. One of the key tourist attractions in Singapore, the quay, at the mouth of the Singapore River, was the city’s hub of commerce in the late 19th century. It still hustles and bustles today, but with a different kind of commerce: trendy restaurants, unique boutiques, pushcart vendors and more, all of which blend Asian and European influences. Once a market, always a market, except at night when Clarke Quay teems with chic nightspots.
2. Resorts World Sentosa
Resorts World Sentosa is a Singaporean destination unto itself. Located on an island off Singapore’s south coast, the property features hotels, restaurants, a casino, theme parks – in short, something for everyone no matter how old they are. With this location, attractions obviously center around the sea:
1. Orchard Road
Orchard Road is the main shopping street of Singapore, regularly frequented by the locals as well as foreign tourists. Named after the fruit orchards that the road led to, Orchard Road is flanked by malls, numerous upmarket restaurants, coffee chains, cafés, nightclubs and hotels. It is also the site of the official residence of the President of Singapore, the Istana.

Top 10 BEST Things to do in Singapore with Kids
Searching high and low for the best things to do in Singapore with kids to add to your travel itinerary? Sit back, folks. We've got you covered.
Look, let's not fluff it up. Universal Studios Singapore was - hands down - our absolute favourite because we're really just overgrown kids trapped in adult bodies. Of course, our kids had an absolute ball as well.
Second in line is a close match between two most iconic Singapore attractions - Gardens by the Bay and The Jewel Changi (Rain Vortex will blow you away). The Jewel wins by way of top things to do in singapore with kids, simply because it's home to attractions, like, a bouncy trampoline net that's suspended over the top of the complex, the Mirror Maze and Canopy Park and a few epic slides for little ones to zip down.
Singapore is also home to (what we deem) some of the best zoos in the world. Trust me, we've been to a fair few with our boys, and Singapore Zoo, Night Safari and River Safari are, by far, some of our absolute favourites. These are not-to-be-missed on your visit to Singapore with Kids. If you've got the time to spare, be sure to check out Jurong Bird Park.
But, of course, you can't go past Sentosa Island, also one of the best things to do in Singapore. Not only is it home to Universal Studios, but you'll also find exciting attractions, like, S.E.A. Aquarium, Adventure Cove Waterpark, Sentosa Beaches, the Singapore Cable Car, Madame Tussaud's, Dolphin Island and loads more places.
Don't leave the country without gettin' sweaty at a delicious hawker centre that'll set off your tastebuds in the best of ways. There's a ton to pick from, but we loved going to food courts inside shopping malls with the kids, simply because it was air conditioned and there was heaps of variety to pick from.
For more on what to do in Singapore with kids, take a look at our blog article where we cover a whopping 30 sights, attractions and activities.

Expensive. Ask travelers who have set foot on Singapore for adjectives that best describe the city, and “expensive” won’t be absent from any list. True, many of the key attractions here can burn a hole in the pocket. Universal Studios, Gardens by the Bay, and even Marina Bay Sands viewdeck all demand a little finger from the average budget backpacker.
Fortunately, there are many places that are not tagged with a price. If you have enough for accommodation and transportation, here are 20 places that allow travelers to enjoy Southeast Asia’s most expensive city for FREE.

Top 10 ‘Crazy Rich Asians’ Movie Locations to Visit in Singapore
A travel guide to visit the 10 best ‘Crazy Rich Asians’ filming locations in Singapore. Crazy Rich Asians is a love letter to the food, culture and beauty of Singapore and in this video I’ll take you through the top attractions in Singapore that you saw in the movie. We’ll start with Changi Airport, one of the world’s best airports. When they land, Rachel comments that it “looks like an upscale tropical resort.” Changi Airport has a butterfly garden, koi fish ponds, and even a three story slide that you can ride!
2 - Newton Food Centre
Their first stop in Singapore. Nick Says: Each of these hawker stalls sells just one dish, and they have been perfecting it for generations. One of the only places in the world where street vendors win Michelen Stars.
3 - Marina Bay Sands
Probably the most famous location in the movie. One of the final scenes in the movie is shot on top of the 57th floor bar with the amazing infinity pool in the background.
The Merlion is a mythical creature with a lion's head and the body of a fish that is widely used as a mascot and national personification of Singapore. 1 million people per year visit the merlion.
5 - Singapore Flyer
Singapore’s tallest Ferris Wheel, and the 2nd biggest in the world.
6 - Raffles Hotel
Where they stayed, which opened in 1887. -- you too can stay here if you have 10,000 SGD per night for a suite. Under renovation until 2019. Sip a Singapore Sling in the bar where the gin-based cocktail. You can tell that Singapore is a foodie country that with 10 food and beverage spaces that represent more than 1,100 seats for just 115 suites, it can claim far more tables than beds
7 - Chinatown Bukit Pasoh Road
This picturesque street is lined with preserved Peranakan shophouses.
8 - CHIJMES
Across the road from Raffles, it’s a 19th-century gothic chapel turned into a function space is the location for the grand wedding.
9 - Sentosa Island
This small island is home to beaches, hotels, spas, and in Crazy Rich Asians, Nick retreated to his friend Collin’s house on Sentosa, and Rachel’s friend Peik Lin invited her to a spa on Sentosa.
10 - Gardens by the Bay
Probably my favorite attraction in Singapore -- the Gardens by the Bay is where the wedding reception was held, in front of the Supertree Grove. Come at 7:45 or 8:45pm for the music and light show on the Supertrees.

Top 10 Places in PENANG Malaysia - Highlights / Best things to do [Travel Guide]
I came to Penang on 3 separate visits and got to see most of the important places on the entire Island. Thus, it was time for me to provide you my Top 10 list of the best places that have to be on your itinery when you are planning you next visit. Penang has very well preserved much of its history; it can be seen as what Singapore used to be in 1960. The entire old city of Georgetown has been granted world heritage status by UNESCO, which ensures its preservation for the future. Penang has many beautiful museums, beaches, temples, mosques and churches that are worth to be visited. In addition, Penang is a real paradise for foodie travelers. Its local cuisine ranks among the best in the world. All in all, Penang provides you quite a good mix between sightseeing and chillout time.
A few useful tips for people who only stay 2-3 days in Penang:
Places like the national park and Penang Hill require quite some time to visit and should rather be skipped for short visits. However, if you stay longer, it is a great idea to include them. Traveling in Penang was for me the most convenient using Grab Taxi, as it was cheap and highly efficient.
How to reach Penang: Fly from Kuala Lumpur (Firefly/Airasia), Singapore (Scoot/Airasia) or Bangkok (Airasia):

Information about the Tourism in Penang:
Otherwise there are buses from Kuala Lumpur to Penang, which offer a much cheaper option.

This Singapore tourist place is an award-winning horticulture spot that sprawls across 101 hectares of land and is basically comprised of two major areas-Bay East Garden and Bay South Garden and is one of the best places to visit in Singapore. Bay South Garden is one of the sprawling gardens, which resembles the national flower of Singapore- Miss Joaquim.

A visit to Singapore is mere incomplete if you haven’t been to Chinatown. One of the finest and must-visit places to visit in Singapore, Chinatown was initially an area of residence for several Chinese immigrants who arrived in the British Colony in those days.
Orchard Road is the epicentre of shopping in Singapore and is similar to London’s Oxford Street or Hong Kong’s Nathan Road. This bustling boulevard got its name after the nutmeg and pepper plantations that once lined it in the 1800s. Flanked on both sides by local and international department stores, tiny boutiques, offices, spas, beauty salons, hotels, entertainment spots, restaurants, and cafes, one could spend a whole day trawling the stretch starting from Tanglin Mall on Tanglin Road down to Plaza Singapura at the lower end of Orchard Road.
The Singapore Flyer is the world’s largest observation wheel. A one-of-a-kind experience and built over a three-story terminal building, the Flyer is 150 metres in diameter, 165 metres high, and travels at 0.21m per second (it is some 30 metres taller than the famous London Eye!) With breathtaking panorama views that are so radically different during the day and at night, it’s hard to choose the best time to take a ride, but our favourite time ti ride the Singapore Ferris wheel is around dusk, when the sunlight gives way to millions of sparkling lights.
A fun island resort and one of the most famous Singapore attractions, Sentosa Island is solely built to offer recreation and excitement to the smile-starved souls. Few of the frequented and availed attractions include the impressive Resorts World, Tiger Sky Tower, Singapore Butterfly an Insect Kingdom, Universal Studios Singapore and one of the biggest concoctions of aquatic species in the world- SEA Aquarium.
