PLACES TO VISIT IN KUWAIT CITY & DESERT! | Living like a Kuwaiti Vlog!

I spent 2 days seeing Kuwait with my local friends and from it, I've got some good places to visit in Kuwait city, and further afield for you.

Kuwait is often referred to as being a boring city or tourists and travellers and I would say that's because things are spread out and it's hard to get around. However in one day in Kuwait there are a few things to do in Kuwait City and ways to Kuwait.

Start at the Scientic Centre and walk along the boardwalk to Marina Mall.
Get lunch at Fareej Swalieh.
Catch a cab or the bus to the Old Marina and do a round boat trip to see the city for 1KD.
Take a cab or bus to the Kuwait Towers and go up them for Sunset.
Take a cab to the Grand Mosque in Kuwait City and do a free guided tour on Thursday-Sundays at 5:00, 5:30, 6:00 & 6:30pm.
Walk to Souq Al Mubarkiya and to Salat Square.
End in Al Shaheed Park at night.

There are also museums and of course lots of shopping malls in Kuwait too which will introduce you to the old and the modern Kuwati culture.

The following day I headed along what is the longest bridge in the world to the desert for an evening of camping and dune buggies in the desert with my friends. This would be possible to do as a tourist but you would need a 4x4 and equipment.

The Kuwait Towers are a group of three slender towers in Kuwait City, standing on a promontory into the Persian Gulf. They were the sixth, and last, group in the larger Kuwait Water Towers system of 34 towers, and were built in a style considerably different from the other five groups.
The Grand Mosque is the largest and the official mosque in the country of Kuwait. Its area spans 45,000 square metres, out of which the building itself covers 20,000 square metres. The main prayer hall is 72 metres wide on all sides, has teakwood doors, and has lighting provided by 144 windows.
The Liberation Tower is a 372-meter-high telecommunications tower in Kuwait City, Kuwait, the second-tallest structure in the country and the 39th tallest building in the world.
Failaka is a Kuwaiti island in the Persian Gulf (Arabian Gulf). It’s known for the 1950s traditional houses of Heritage Village. The Museum Palace of Sheikh Abdullah Al Salim Al Sabah shows life in the 1900s. Camels and Arabian horses are kept at Failaka Stables. Once an outpost of Alexander the Great’s army, Failaka has Mesopotamian-era ruins, including the remains of a citadel. Jet skis are popular at Wanasa Beach.
Kubbar is a sandy island of Kuwait in the Persian Gulf, covered with shrub. It is located roughly 30 kilometers off the southern coast of Kuwait and 29 kilometres off the coast of Failaka. The island is nearly circular, with a diameter of 370 to 380 meters, corresponding to an area of about 11 ha.
Seif Palace is a palace in Kuwait City, Kuwait. Located opposite the Grand Mosque, one of Seif Palace's best-known features is the watch tower, covered in blue tiles and with a roof plated in pure gold. Local materials such as clay, rocks, limestone, wood and metals were used in its construction.

Why I Don't Like This Country ????????

► SUBSCRIBE for daily travel videos:

While I constantly try to find the positives in every place I visit, there are few places that I just simply didn't enjoy.

The country of Brunei is one of them.

I went to Brunei back in 2014, three years before I made videos, but my negative experiences in the country have stuck in my mind ever since. That, combined with its absurd human rights laws such as stoning to death LGBT members, I was pushed to make this video.

Have you ever visited any countries that you didn't enjoy? Please share below, I'm curious to know.

ARABIC-INDIAN FOOD Breakfast in KUWAIT CITY + Attractions | Kuwait City, Kuwait

After a life-changing 10-day adventure through Armenia, I had a 48-hour layover in Kuwait, my 76th country! Come along with me as I explore Kuwait, beginning with a delicious Arabic and Indian breakfast!

Local Tour Kuwait:

During my 48 hours in Kuwait, I teamed up with my boy Yousef from Local Tour Kuwait. We immediately went to get some breakfast at Saket Ajeeb Restaurant in Kuwait City.

Saket Ajeeb Restaurant is an Arabic and Indian restaurant. After we took our seats, they covered the table in plastic to keep it clean. They brought us a plate of fresh herbs as an appetizer. Then, we moved on to some cheese samosas and vegetable samosas. They were a lot smaller than the ones in India, but were super crunchy.

Then, our meal arrived! It included chapati, a couple of meat and vegetable dishes, and a tea with milk called chai halib. Everything looked so good!

I started with the chapati and the first beef and veg dish. It contained liver and I could also see chilies, tomatoes, and onions in it. It gave me a burst of heat as well as lots of flavors of other spices.

Then, I went for the second meat dish, which looked phenomenal. It was so good and was like a delicious, spicy gravy. The beef was tender and flavorful!

Then, I went for the chai halib, which is different from Indian chai because it doesn’t contain cardamom or ginger. It’s just tea and milk. But just like in India, it was super hot!

Our meal only cost us 3.5 Kuwaiti dinar, which is roughly $13-$14 USD.

From there, we headed back out into the heat and drove to Kuwait Towers! Kuwait Towers are made up of 3 slender towers that opened in 1979. One of them a water tower, and another is an observation deck and restaurant. The observation deck is the Viewing Sphere. It costs 3 Kuwaiti dinar to enter, so roughly $13 USD.

The Viewing Sphere is the only observation deck in Kuwait. It’s 120 meters off the ground! From the first level of the sphere, I could see the Arabian Gulf, lots of public beaches, and all of Kuwait City. The second level of the Viewing Sphere actually revolves slowly!

From there, we went to Al-Qurain Martyrs Museum, which was once a private house where 19 members of the Al-Messilah group (a group who had vowed to protect Kuwait during the Iraqi invasion of 1990) had used as their headquarters. Saddam Hussein’s Iraqi forces attacked the building for 10 hours on February 24, 1991. The entire place is riddled with huge bullet holes, and outside is the tank Saddam Hussein’s forces used to attack the headquarters.

Then, we headed to a shopping mall so I could get a headdress called a Gutra so I could look more Kuwaiti! It would also protect my head from the heat. I went with a white one and the shop owner wrapped it around my head! It cost me 3 Kuwaiti dinar, or about $13 USD.

Then, we headed to the Kuwait Oil Company Ahmad Al-Jaber Oil & Gas Exhibition.! Inside the entrance is a massive monitor that shows a video of how the oil rigs in Kuwait work.

The museum is free to enter and you get a free tour guide as well! There, you can tour the eight galleries to learn about how oil forms, the history of oil in the world, what Kuwait was like before and after the discovery of oil, and more. You can even watch a documentary about how the rest of the world helped after Hussein’s forces lit 600 oil wells on fire. And, you can see a display that shows how much oil the Kuwait Oil Company produces in one second!

This was such an incredible part of my day. I loved visiting this museum!

I hope you enjoyed coming with me to have Arabic Indian food in Kuwait City, Kuwait and exploring these attractions with me! If you did, please give this video a thumbs up and leave a comment below.
