Levain's cookies are still fantastic, and at this point they're so iconic that you have to stop at Levain's if you're in New York. Beside the oatmeal raisin, we highly recommend the dark chocolate peanut butter chip.
But the pie crust cookie at Janie's and the half-baked chocolate chip cookie, also at Janie's, are two of the best cookies we have ever eaten. And that oreo chocolate chip cookie at Spot dessert bar was phenomenal. So go to Levain, because you have to. But go to Spot and Janie's because you'll regret it if you don't.

Levain Bakery is one of the most famous spots in New York City to get cookies. Tourists and locals alike flock to its shops in the city to get its giant cookies, especially the chocolate chip walnut. Herrine Ro visited the bakery to speak with the owners, Constance McDonald and Pamela Weekes. They watched how the cookies are made using secret recipes, spoke to customers, and tried out all the cookies.

Chip, the New York cookie company with a cult following, is so popular it's opened three stores in two years. Its cookies have even been eaten by Jimmy Fallon and Whoopi Goldberg on The Tonight Show. Now, it's opening its first Manhattan storefront location. Producer Lisa Paradise went on opening day to talk to people in line and see the new West Village location. The goo-filled cookies are baked on-site daily and include traditional flavors as well as specials like peanut butter and jelly, cinnamon roll, and s'mores.

Bang Cookies Bakes 5,000 Gooey Chocolate Chip Cookies A Week
Bang Cookies, a small New Jersey cookie business, began selling its giant organic cookies at New Jersey farmers markets, where it drew people in for its NSFW original name, Bang Me Cookies. Ever since selling out the first day, customers have lined up for a taste of its all-natural, organic cookies, made with ingredients from around the world. The shop started out selling 500 cookies a day in 2016. Now, they bake more than 20,000 cookies a month. Among the best sellers are sea salt chocolate chunk and s'mores. Insider’s Taryn Varricchio visited Bang Cookies to find out why people can’t get enough of these giant gooey chocolate chip cookies.

Bang Cookies Bakes 5,000 Gooey Chocolate Chip Cookies A Week
CHIP: simply the best cookie in New York City.
Best is big term, but in this case it's easy to stand behind the best cookie in NYC since Chip delivers on every bite.
I stopped in unannounced to their original location on 30th ave and 34th street in Astoria, Queens to get the not so skinny about their amazing mouth treats.
Lemme tell you something; you almost can't call these cookies... they are like warm, little, buttery, sweet personal cakes you can eat on the street without causing too much attention.
Since I filmed this they've gone on to open a bunch of new locations so definitely check them out they are phenom.

They're great, but you can get them in a lot of places across the country now, and we thought the cookies on our list should be worth coming to New York for.

Even as restaurants shut down in response to the novel coronavirus, we still wanted to profile some of our favorite places and check in on what they're facing during this challenging time. We caught up with one of New York City's most loved cookie spots, Maman, on its famous nutty chocolate chip cookie and the cafe's plans for the future. Since the city limited service to pick-up and delivery orders, Maman's co-owner, Elisa Marshall, initially decided to close several shops. The owners started a staff fund to help out employees, but ultimately made the decision on March 30 to close all shops until further notice in order to keep workers and customers safe.

I've been seeing Crumbl cookies alllll over social media and since I like kinda far away I wanted to try making them at home.
To quote my mom I've been around awhile and have tried my fair share of chocolate chip cookies and I have to say that these are some of the best ones I've ever had. Wow! I agree, they are soft and tender on the inside and have a beautiful brown crispy bottom. A must-try for sure!
Have you heard of Crumbl cookies?
Ingredients:
1 1/2 cups butter softened
3/4 cup granulated sugar
1 1/2 cup brown sugar
2 eggs
1 1/2 tbsp vanilla
4 1/4 cups all purpose flour
2 tsp baking soda
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp salt
2 cups guittard milk chocolate chips (I used half dark chocolate chunks)
