Sundarbans - The Sundarbans mangrove forest, one of the largest such forests in the world (140,000 ha), lies on the delta of the Ganges, Brahmaputra, and Meghna rivers on the Bay of Bengal. It is adjacent to the border of India’s Sundarbans World Heritage site inscribed in 1987. The site is intersected by a complex network of tidal waterways, mudflats, and small islands of salt-tolerant mangrove forests, and presents an excellent example of ongoing ecological processes. The area is known for its wide range of fauna, including 260 bird species, the man-eating Royal Bengal tiger, and other threatened species such as the estuarine crocodile and the Indian python.
Cox's Bazar - Cox's Bazar sea beach is the longest sea beach in the world, 120 km long, having no 2nd instance. The wavy water of the Bay of Bengal touches the beach throughout this 120 km.
For Bangladeshi's, it doesn't get much better than Cox's Bazar, the country's most popular beach town than the other one 'Kuakata beach town. It's sort of a Cancun of the east. It's choc-a-bloc with massive well-architectured concrete structures, affluent 5 & 3-star hotels, catering largely to the country's elite and overseas tourists. The beach is only a bit crowded in tourist season, October to March, especially near the hotel-motel zone, but remains virgin during the rest of the year, April to September, when it's better to take a trip there.
Saint Martin's Island - St Martin's is a tropical cliché and the only coral island in Bangladesh, with beaches fringed with coconut palms and laid-back locals. It's a clean and peaceful place with nothing more strenuous to do than soak up the rays — even mosquitoes are a rarity.
It is possible to walk around St Martin's in a day since it measures only 8 km², shrinking to about 5 km² during high tide. Most of the island's 7000 inhabitants live primarily from fishing, and between October and April, fishermen from neighboring areas bring their catch to the island's temporary wholesale market also most of the tourists visit this place mostly in winter. Rice and coconuts are the other staple crops, and algae are collected and dried from the sea rocks and sold for consumption to Myanmar.
Sajek Valley - Sajek is the biggest union of Bangladesh whose size is 702 square miles. The area is formed with the combination of Sajek Ruiluipara and Konglak Para. Established in 1885, the height of the Ruiluipara is approximately 1720 feet from the sea level and the height of the Konglakpara from the sea level is approximately 1800 feet. Mainly, Sajek is the living place of indigenous people including Lusai, Pankhwa, and Tripura. The banana and orange of Sajek are very famous. Many parts of Rangamati are seen from Sajek Valley. So the Sajek valley is called the roof of Rangamati.
Jaflong Valley - Clouds like fog on the mountain, for the first time, you may not realize. It is so tough to turn your eyes watching the combination of the mountain with the cloud under the blue sky. White Cloud, Blue Sky, High Mountains, Blue Water, what a beautiful sight! Jaflong is such a place like this. We all know, Sylhet is a beautiful place in Bangladesh and Jaflong is one of them.

No offense, but we don't like the way locals swim, we love enjoying our BODY FREEDOM and we needed a private beach in Cox's Bazar for this reason. Luckily we found this MOON NEST RESORT which has a private beach, and we enjoyed it alot.
Moon Nest Resort is a very beautiful eco resort, it's calm and quiet, a highly recommend place to stay for nature lovers, foreigners and couples looking for privacy and a private beach ????️. Here to mention, MOON NEST ECO RESORT is also owned by the same owners of Mermaid Beach Resort and Mermaid Eco Resort. Very safe and well secured place with absolute privacy to enjoy. MOON NEST's private beach is located 350 meters far from the resort cottages and need a 5 minutes of walk to reach there on beach. The beach is totally secluded and good for people / foreigners like us who doesn't want a crowded beach and rather wants some privacy! We enjoyed MOON NEST alot

Barishal is a major city that lies on the banks of the Kirtankhola river in south-central Bangladesh. It is the largest city and the administrative headquarter of both Barisal District and Barisal Division.It is one of the oldest municipalities and river ports of the country. Barisal municipality was established in the year 1876 during the British rule in India and upgraded to City Corporation on 25 July 2002.
Barisal was conquered by Muhammad bin Bakhtiyar Khalji and was later a significant territory of the Delhi Sultanate and Bengal Sultanate. After the decline of the Suri Empire, the territory became a semi-independent area in the Mughal period because of heavy fighting between the Muslims and Hindu chiefs, although most parts of the city were totally under the control of the governors of the proto-industrialised Bengal Subah. In course of time, it fell under the Bengal Nawabs. Raja Ramranjan Chakravarty was put as a de jure king during the Bengal Presidency of the British, later passed to East Pakistan at independence and finally Bangladesh.

Whether you are a frequent flyer or a first-timer it is good to remind yourself of the global rules that apply to liquids, aerosols and gels when packing your suitcase and carry on.
Anything over 100ml must be packed into your checked luggage.
When packing items under 100ml in your carry-on, place them in a single, clear, plastic bag.
Any items that could be seen as harmful to others should be packed into your checked luggage.

Bangladesh's tourist attractions include historical monuments, resorts, beaches, picnic spots, forests and tribal people, wildlife of various species. Activities for tourists include angling, water skiing, river cruising, hiking, rowing, yachting, and sea bathing.
In the northern part, comprising the Rajshahi division, there are archaeological sites, including the temple city Puthia in Rajshahi; the largest and most ancient archaeological site, Mahasthangarh in Bogra; the single largest Buddhist monastery, Paharpur in Naogaon; the most ornamental terracota Hindu temple, Kantaji Temple, and many rajbaris or palaces of old zamindars.
In the south-eastern part, which is the Chittagong Division, there are natural and hilly areas like Chittagong Hill Tracts, along with sandy sea beaches. The most notable beach, in Cox's Bazar, is a contender for the title of longest unbroken sandy sea beach in the world.
In the south-western part, mainly the Khulna Division, there is the Sundarbans, the largest mangrove forest of the world with royal Bengal tiger and spotted deer. The historically and architecturally important sixty domed mosque in Bagerhat is a notable site. In the north-eastern part, Sylhet division, there is a green carpet of tea plants on small hillocks. Natural reserved forests are great attractions. Migratory birds in winter, particularly in the haor areas, are also very attractive in this area.
Cox's Bazar
Cox's Bazar is a seaside town, a fishing port and district headquarters in Bangladesh. It is known for its wide and long sandy beach, which is considered by many as the world's longest natural sandy sea beach. The beach in Cox's Bazar is an unbroken 125 kilometres (78 mi) sandy sea beach with a gentle slope. It is located 152 kilometres (94 mi) south of the Chittagong Seaport. Cox's Bazar is also known by the name Panowa, whose literal translation means yellow flower.
St. Martin's Island
St. Martin's Island is a small island in the northeastern part of the Bay of Bengal, about 9 km south of the tip of the Cox's Bazar-Teknaf peninsula, and forming the southernmost part of Bangladesh. It is about 8 km west of the northwest coast of Myanmar, at the mouth of the Naf River. The first settlement started just 250 years ago by some Arabian sailors who named the island 'Zajira'. It is the only coral island in Bangladesh.
Sajek Valley
Sajek Valley is an emerging tourist spot in Bangladesh situated among the hills of the Kasalong range of mountains in Sajek union, Baghaichhari Upazila in Rangamati District. The valley is 1,476 feet (450 m) above sea level. Sajek valley is known as the Queen of Hills & Roof of Rangamati.
The highlight of Bangladesh (for me at least) has to be its people. Expect to get lots of (usually friendly) attention, enquiries as to your family (ladies – if travelling with a man or solo – it’s best to say you are married) and offers of tea, dinner, lunch. Culturally, it’s important to Bangladeshis to be welcoming to guests so do not feel under pressure to accept dinner invitations unless they are repeated several times, although equally if you can spare a few minutes to have a cha (tea) with a new friend, it may make for one of your favourite memories.
The currency in Bangladesh is the Bangladeshi Taka. Officially it’s not available outside of Bangladesh, however there are exchange shops in the Sudder Street area of Kolkata that will be able to give you Taka in exchange for your Rupees. If coming by bus from India, you can exchange money at the border, although beware of touts! If flying in, then get your Taka at the airport at an ATM or exchange counter. It’s easiest to change USD into Taka at exchange shops in Bangladesh. Not all ATM’s accept foreign cards, and there are reports of cards being frequently swallowed (eek) so check before pushing your card in the slot.
