St kitts, what i like to call the monkey Island...that had so few monkeys

ST. KITTS CARAMBOLA BEACH PLUS JET SKI TOUR & MONKEY BITES!

Today we are visiting St Kitts, our excursion is called Carambola Beach Break and like most tours starts with a queue waiting for a bus! We paid $39 each, the bus ride was comfortable and clean and the driver was very knowledgeable. The beach was pretty nice, the water was crystal clear and there were plenty of chairs included with admission to the beach, and umbrellas were available but for $10 each. There were also snorkeling and jet ski rentals through a private company.

After spending some time splashing around and soaking up the sun, Cyndi headed off to check on jet ski rentals. The lady running the rental stand was super nice and we were able to get three jet skis for only $150. We had to wait about an hour for our jet skis to be ready but the kids were pretty excited.

Alex and Amanda rode on one, Cyndi and Nick took the second one and Austin and I took the last one. Our rental included a tour guide and he helped ensure we stayed in safe areas and lead us down the coast. St. Kitts is a gorgeous island and this is a great way to explore its shoreline.

On the ride back to the port, the driver had a surprise for us. We stopped at the highest point on the island for a scenic overlook. The best part was there was a monkey handler! For $5 you got to hold Edward the monkey. Not sure if he was just a bit hungry but Cyndi got bit! After we got back to the port we did see another passenger get her face bit by one of the monkeys there!

???????????? About Us - Who are the Cruise Monkeys?
We are bananas about cruising! We started cruising in 2014 by doing a mini cruise on P&O Aurora. Making videos of our cruises and sharing our experiences has become our hobby – the complete video is filmed and edited on an iPhone. The videos are our opinions and experiences while on board - really they are us having fun and brining you along with us!

We may not be the youngest cruisers but we are trying to break the stereotype that cruising is for retired people. On a cruise you will normally find us wondering around the ship taking in the atmosphere (and working our way through the cocktails).

We have sailed on P&O Cruises, Cunard Line, Princess Cruises, MSC Cruises, Royal Caribbean and Avalon Waterways. We'd love to try Ambassador Cruise Line, Norwegian Cruise Line (NCL), Fred Olsen, Holland America (HAL), Celebrity, Disney Cruises, Carnival Cruises, Costa, Aida, Marella and Celestyal.

Anthem of the Seas | Day 8 | Interesting St. Kitts Day with Monkeys, Power Outage, & Music Hall Fun!

Date Filmed: February 3, 2020

Another stellar day on Royal Caribbean’s Anthem of the Seas is in the books! This is our 8th day, at our final port of the cruise, St. Kitts! We did not have any plans off ship, but instead decided to explore the port freely! It was a very interesting experience with a close and unasked for encounter with a monkey! Some of the people in the main square were not the friendliest, but we still had fun! For us the the best part of St. Kitts were the beautiful vistas, which we got a great view of on our trip up the North Star! Another odd occurrence of today was our first cruise ship power outage! It was very brief but interesting none the less! We had fun onboard with trapeze school in the Seaplex, a delicious Izumi dinner, adult karaoke paired with billiards in the Music Hall, and Vistaramas in Two70! We had a super fun day and we hope you enjoyed coming along with us! If you would like help planning your own Royal Caribbean sailing, please contact us via our travel agent information found at the end of the video! Our services are free to our clients and we would love to help you book and plan your vacation! Thanks for watching! Happy Travels! :)

We have been friends since we were in Elementary School in the 80’s and have traveled together around our home in Washington (State) & The Pacific Northwest for years. More recently, we have wandered to other parts of the US and North America. We just thought we should start documenting our adventures, so here we are, on YouTube! We are happy to be sharing our adventures with our friends, families and now you! We get out as much as we can and have plans on visiting more exotic locations, including the Carnival Vista from Galveston TX (April 2022), one in June 2022 (on the Carnival Panorama), Alaska from our homeport of Seattle in July on the Carnival Splendor and Steph is going on the Carnival Magic at the end of August out of New York to Bermuda with her Aunt Jeri. She is also going in a Mediterranean cruise from Italy on Royal Caribbean Odyssey of the Seas September 2022. We hope you enjoy our travels and are inspired to visit the Pacific Northwest, take a cruise to an exotic destination and just get out and have fun!
