It is our first time staying at a hotel that can't wait for the sunrise.
Why they didn't do proper cleaning (at least change the bed cover) under the freaking Covid Pandemic?

【優點】
桌球：小朋友玩一樓的桌球玩得很開心
7-11過馬路就到，買東西挺方便
房間內的廁所(401)還算乾淨
【Liked】
We can play table tennis at lobby, which kid had fun!
7-11 is right across the road, it is comparably convenient to buy anything.
The toilet inside the room is sort of clean.

【缺點】
1. 服務：服務人員只看到一個、愛理不理，不論問什麼，都沒有針對問題做完善的回答，留的電話打了根本沒用，有問題都找不到人，也不會回撥
2. 清潔：不論是公共區域，或者房間內，都非常糟，公共區域的垃圾，從我們來到離開時都沒有清，房間內的床上、棉被裡看到非常多不同尺寸種類的頭髮，明顯只是把棉被折疊好而已，疫情期間，你跟多少不同人睡了同一張沒清潔過的床鋪，這實在無法讓人接受。
3. 味道：一樓靠近樓梯的地方，有明顯噁心難聞的味道
4. 床：房間裡的彈簧床是壞的（彈簧是垮的），明顯是很廉價的東西
5. 水：連一罐水都沒提供，公共區域說會補水，但住了一晚起來到我們退房離開還是沒看到
6. 沒有電梯：我們住的房間在4樓，行李要完全靠自己搬運 (只有房間、大廳剛去時有冷氣，其他時間或其它地方都沒開冷氣)
7. 假的評價：booking.com上面的評價是假的，並沒有大家說得那麼好，實際上是又髒又舊的旅館
【Disliked】
1. Service: Staying there and we only see 1 staff, and not interested in answering anything. I tried to call the phone number when no one is at the counter, and no one answered (not even call back).
2. Cleanness: I can't say anywhere really clean in this hotel. in the lobby public area, trash left on the table overnight. We saw many hair in the bed (in different sizes), which shows they didn't clean the bed change the cover or anything. Especially during the Covid, we might have slept with many unknown people on the same bed, this is completely unacceptable.
3. Smell: In some location of the hotel (2nd floor stairs) smell like mold.
The bed: The bed inside the room seems has broken springs. Apparently they are cheap things, can't fall asleep on that thing.
4. Water: There is no drinking water provided inside the room. There is water tank in 2f area but it is all dried out. We informed the staff and she said ok will take care of it. But until the next day before we check out, the water tank was still empty.
5. There is no elevator in this hotel. We stayed at 4th floor and we have to bring all luggages up for 4 levels on our own. The air-con only at lobby and inside the room. All the other area has no air-con.
6. Fake Review: I can tell the reviews on Booking.com are fake. It is nothing close to the words everyone mentioned. It is in fact an old dirty hotel without any maintenance.

Hotels Caught Not Changing Sheets Between Guests
Inside Edition's investigative team came up with a simple test to see whether hotels were changing sheets between guests. They checked into 9 hotel rooms, and each time sprayed a harmless, washable, fluorescent paint onto the bedsheet using a stencil that says, “I SLEPT HERE.” The paint is invisible to the naked eye, but turn on an ultraviolet light and presto — our “I SLEPT HERE” slogan could be seen glowing bold and bright. Then they checked out, leaving the beds unmade, which should have been clear to any maid they had been slept in.
Inside Edition then booked the same rooms for the following day and checked in under a new name — as if they were brand new guests. What do you think happened?

Housekeeping will change post COVID-19, and the housekeeping department will be front & centre of the new normal hospitality property experience.
Let me explain what I mean.
Housekeeping Will Change Post Covid-19 Introduction
Travellers are going to be choosing hospitality property’s that can give them peace of mind by guaranteeing their safety through increased cleanliness procedures.
Exactly how these changes will transpire is the debate. Will properties choose to offer a housekeeping opt-out option thereby cutting costs or go full service to maintain strict cleanliness brand standards?
On the one hand, a freshly cleaned guest room each and every day has been for decades, a core service for traditional hotels, resorts and bed and breakfast. It has also been a strong persuader for guests, especially at the luxury end where housekeeping becomes a product differentiator in its own right.
There is no doubt guests appreciate the housekeeping service as part of a wholly satisfying experience because it is better than what most of them get at home. Certainly, old school hoteliers would argue that a hospitality property isn’t a hospitality property without daily housekeeping.
On the other hand, many guests don’t like to have anyone enter their rooms during their stays for a variety of reasons. Some traveller’s rarely use their room, thereby seeing no need for this service. Others may be influenced by companies such as Airbnb that do not regularly provide daily cleaning.
Were many brand properties are considering going for the opt-out option, I believe that housekeeping is now, more than ever, going to play an essential role to help draw in guests. However, I can see a scenario where housekeeping opt-out becomes more common at economy and midscale properties, both as a method to cut costs and to meet a growing demand for ‘contactless travel’.

Bad Hotel Room - Don't Let it Happen to You
While on a road trip, I booked a hotel for the night. The price was $84/night!! I did not have time to read costumer reviews because I booked a few hours prior to arrival. It was peak travel season and there was no room at any of my preferred hotels in that area on a Friday evening. The photos show what I saw when I got to the room. I only had a few hours to rest so I decided not to go back to the front desk. I removed the worst pillows and linen and tried to rest for a few hours before taking a shower and leaving at the hint of dawn.
Tips:
--Read those customer reviews.
--Many photos on the website site may look much batter that the actual site
--If it is possible book well ahead of travel to get your preferred places
--Go back to the front desk and bring issues to the attention of the associate

In all fairness, as soon as I advised hotel staff, a very nice lady from housekeeping came to my room apologizing A N D promptly & thoroughly cleaned the entire bathroom.
Upon completing my inspection of the room, wiping down all touch points with the alcohol pads provided by United Airlines, I discovered the desk in the living room to have dried up substance around the edges of the drawer. It too was cleaned. The air conditioning unit was filthy...
Bottom line, I think the hotel staff glossed over the room without thoroughly going thru and cleaning things up for their next guest.
Hopefully they will pick up their game B E F O R E the next guest checks in :)
