Cette semaine, nous partons avec les enfants en direction de la République Dominicaine.
L'année scolaire vient de finir et elle s'est terminée en force avec les activités de fin d'année et la cohue des bulletins. Nous avons choisi un tout inclus pour nous récompenser et pour faire vivre l'expérience aux enfants. De plus, les prix sont un peu plus avantageux que pendant le congé de Noël et la relâche scolaire.
Nous avons visité le Playabachata qui se trouve une dizaine de kilomètre à l'ouest de la ville de Puerto Plata en République Dominicaine. Fidèle à la recette des tout inclus, la plage, les piscine et la nourriture à volonté étaient au rendez-vous.
Nous avons pris la semaine pour explorer ce grand complexe et avons même eu la chance de faire la visite de l'Hotel voisin (prochaine vidéo) qui est très luxueux. À tous les jours, nous passions pratiquement tous l'avant-midi dans la mer qui était calme et relaxante pour, après le dîner, migrer aux piscines et à l'animation des employés. Nous avons également pris l'habitude de souper tôt pour ensuite aller profiter de la marée haute et de ses vagues un peu plus agressives.
Nous n'avons pas eu les plus belles chambres, mais c'était parfait pour l'usage qu'on en faisait; douches et dormir. Comme il y avait seulement réseau internet à la place principale (lobby, piscine et plage immédiatement devant la piscine) et non dans les chambres, nous avons pu décroché pleinement.
En conclusion, ce fut des vacances parfaites pour clôturer l'année scolaire, pour entamer notre été le plus occupé jusqu'à présent et c'était une excellente première expérience de voyage international pour les enfants.

Pluses:
Liked my room location, food available pretty much 24/7, self serve soda machines, activities
There was a great variety of food whether it was at breakfast, lunch or dinner. There was enough space to move around and the amenities were diversified
The location was great the beach was nice. The drinks are free and good and they keep them flowing, and the entertainment was also good. Overall you get what you pay for as they say. I really can’t complain about too much. The food was decent as well.
Minuses:
Still using old tech like actual keys with big annoying keychains and they give you a key/lock for the safe wich is extra responsibility, but overall everything was good for the price
The pillows on the bed were not comfortable, the bathroom a bit too small.
Just a warning if you are looking for a quiet place to relax this is not it. This place is overran by locals including many kids, so the pool is always packed and so are the dining facilities, and the staff hardly speak any English here. Just a heads up.
