This time we are driving around Belgrade in a Yugo, a classic Yugoslavian vehicle from 1977, discovering the rise and fall of Yugoslavia with a local.
This is one of the greatest things to do in Belgrade if you're planning a Belgrade trip in 2020. The main reason being, you get to learn about the history of the former Yugoslavia... from a local! - Plus, you can transport yourself back to te 70s and drive in a Yugo!
On the tour, you visit some great locals in New Belgrade such as Hotel Yugoslavia, formerly a 5* hotel which played host to world leaders and personalities including Queen Elizabeth, Alfred Hitchcock and Richard Nixon. You visit the Museum of Yugoslavia and learn about Tito, the former leader of Yugoslavia as well as the site of a former concentration camp and the twin towers of Genex Kula.

BELGRADE, SERBIA - Welcome back to Belgrade, Serbia for another part of my 2021 Travel Serbia series to add to my previous videos filmed in Serbia in 2019 and 2020!
This time, we are checking out Belgrade's MASSIVE Eastern City Gate, another example of brutalist architecture in Belgrade. Last year we visited many bloks in New Belgrade (Novi Beograd) including Televizorka, as well as the Western City Gate (Genex Tower). The Eastern City Gate (or Rudo) consists of 3 residential tower blocks built between 1973 and 1976 at the height of brutalism popularity. Do you love brutalism or hate it?
We also have some Serbian food, simply some pita sircina or pita sa sirom (cheese pastry) instead of having burek sa sirom as always. After that, we head to the BIGZ building, an example of modernist architecture which was once home to a well-known Serbian printing and graphics company. The company itself dates back to 1831.

8 months ago I did a DNA test with MyHeritage.com - despite knowing I had Polish heritage on my mother's side - there was always a question around whether I had more Southeastern European roots - the test confirmed I was 31% Balkan so having already been to Poland, I wanted to visit the Balkans to learn more about my potential heritage, and I'm glad I did!
In this video I give you a bit of an introduction to Belgrade as a foreigner, talk about my own preconceptions and the actual reality, visit the Nikola Tesla Museum (that guy was a serious GENIUS!), check out the yet to be built Metro, highlight some of the architecture and history as well as mention points around life as Digital Nomad or backpacker in Belgrade.

In this video, we take a stroll down the Sava and Danube before heading to the small town of ZEMUN, a town part of Belgrade but often considered as its own seperate entity. A town that has been preserved from the 1800s, much like a Magic Town in Mexico and it has many similiarities! Great architecture, colourful buildings, churches, markets and amazing views!

Where the Middle East meets Malaysia ????????
Wandering the streets of Kuala Lumpur has been so eventful. I found this small area that completely showcases Malaysia dense junction of culture. I randomly found Shawarma Street and it totally represents everything I've come to learn Malaysia represents... Unity. On a single street there's a group of restaurants and businesses from Turkey, Syria, Saudi Arabia, and probably many others. Why are all these Middle Eastern shops all in one place? I don't know why, but I'm so glad I came across this street. If you visit Malaysia, be sure to come by Kuala Lumpur's delicious Shawarma Street for some amazing street food (especially shawarma and kunafa), culture, and very friendly people!
Shawarma Street is located near Petronas towers and mall, right inside Bukit Bintang.

是一座位於地中海畔、亞得里亞海東岸的克羅埃西亞南部港市，是克羅埃西亞第二大城。該城的名字來源於多刺金雀花（calictome spinosa）的希臘名，在1979年，史普利特的歷史中心與戴克里先宮殿被列入聯合國世界文化遺產。史普利特是克羅埃西亞的文化中心之一，其文學傳統可追溯至中世紀。
