Brattleboro, originally Brattleborough, is a town in Windham County, Vermont, United States. The most populous municipality abutting Vermont's eastern border with New Hampshire, which is the Connecticut River, Brattleboro is located about 10 miles (16 km) north of the Massachusetts state line, at the confluence of Vermont's West River and the Connecticut. In 2010, Brattleboro's population was 12,046.
Marlboro College Center for Graduate and Professional Studies and SIT Graduate Institute were located in the town until 2020. There are satellite campuses of three colleges as well: Community College of Vermont,Union Institute and University,and Vermont Technical College. The town is home to the New England Center for Circus Arts and the Vermont Jazz Center.

Hinsdale to Winchester, NH
Hinsdale is a town in Cheshire County, New Hampshire, United States. The population was 3,948 at the 2020 census.[2] Hinsdale is home to part of Pisgah State Park in the northeast, and part of Wantastiquet Mountain State Forest in the northwest.
The main village in town, where 1,485 people resided at the 2020 census, is defined as the Hinsdale census-designated place (CDP) and is located at the junction of New Hampshire routes 119 and 63.
History
Located in the southwestern corner of the state, Hinsdale was chartered in 1753. It was named for Colonel Ebenezer Hinsdale,[3] member of a prominent Deerfield, Massachusetts, family, whose mother had been taken captive in the famed Raid on Deerfield of 1704. Graduated from Harvard, Hinsdale was ordained to become a missionary for Indians of the Connecticut River Valley. Instead, he would serve as chaplain at Fort Dummer, an important trading post on the Connecticut River, later enlisting as an officer in the army. Then, in 1742, he established Fort Hinsdale, including a trading post and gristmill, reportedly at his own expense. The town's earliest history recounts Indian assaults, raids and captivities.[4]
Located beside the Connecticut River and connected to Brattleboro, Vermont, by bridge, Hinsdale contains excellent farmland, but has been a significant center of industry as well, especially in the manufacture of paper. In a machine shop here, George A. Long built a self-propelled steam vehicle in 1875, the Long steam tricycle, for which he received one of the nation's earliest automobile patents. The oldest continually-operating post office in the United States, established in 1816, is located on Main Street.[5]
From 1959 to 2008, the town was home to the Hinsdale Greyhound Park.
The Ashuelot Covered Bridge is a historic wooden covered bridge over the Ashuelot River on Bolton Road, just south of its intersection with NH 119 in Ashuelot, an unincorporated village of Winchester, New Hampshire. Built in 1864-65, it is one of the state's few surviving 19th-century covered bridges. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1981.
Description and history
The Ashuelot Covered Bridge is located in western Winchester, at the center of Ashuelot Village. It is a Town lattice truss bridge, spanning the Ashuelot River in a roughly north-south orientation. It consists of two spans with a total length of 178 feet (54 m). The total width of the bridge is 29 feet (8.8 m), and has a central roadway and sidewalks (measuring 3'10 in width) on each side. The bridge rests on stone abutments and a central pier. The abutments have been reinforced with concrete since the bridge was built, and the central pier has been protected by a metal breakwater. The bridge passes 11'7 over the water. One unusual feature of this bridge is that its sides are not fully sheathed, the usual means by which the truss elements are protected from the elements. Instead, the bridge roof is extended to provide long eaves, and the sides are sheathed to the height of the walkway handrails.[2]
A bridge was already standing at this site when the town of Winchester first began considering construction of a replacement in 1853. A new bridge was finally approved in 1864, and the present structure was opened the next year, having cost $4,650 to build. Portions of the old bridge were apparently used in its construction, since older beams were found in it during repairs made after the New England Hurricane of 1938. The bridge was the principal means of access between the village railroad station (located near its southern abutment) and the village proper on the north bank.[2]

Madame Sherri Castle Ruins - Mine Mountain (Mineshaft)
Best viewed in 1080P. This adventure brought us back to Chesterfield, NH to visit the castle ruins of Madame Sherri an eccentric resident of NH. The ruins are quite a sight to see and the history of this woman is very interesting. While we were there we followed the Anna Stokes Loop Trail to Mt. Wantastiquet Trail and off to the Mine Ledges for a great view. Most people don’t know that below those ledges there is a mine, so we explored that too. We were able to get some Geocaching done in the area also. This is a great hike with a lotof history. Due to the length of the video, we only showed some of our finds.

Henniker is a town in Merrimack County, New Hampshire, United States. As of the 2010 census, the town had a total population of 4,836. Henniker is home to New England College and Pats Peak Ski Area. Henniker is a college town and resort area, featuring both skiing and white-water kayaking.
The main village of the town, where 1,747 people resided at the 2010 census, is defined as the Henniker census-designated place (CDP), and is located along the Contoocook River at the junction of New Hampshire Route 114 with Old Concord Road. The town also includes the village of West Henniker.
It was first known as Number Six in a line of settlements running between the Merrimack and Connecticut rivers. In 1752, the Masonian Proprietors granted the land to Andrew Todd, who called it Todd's Town. Settled in 1761 by James Peter, it was dubbed New Marlborough by others from Marlboro, Massachusetts. Incorporated in 1768 by Governor John Wentworth, the town was named for Sir John Henniker, a London merchant of leather and fur, with shipping interests in Boston and Portsmouth.
In the 19th century Henniker had a high rate of congenital deafness, and its own sign language, which may have played a significant role in the emergence of American Sign Language.[4]
Farmers found the town's surface relatively even, with fertile soil. Various mills operated by water power on the Contoocook River, including a woolen factory. By 1859, the population was 1,688.[3] But mills in Henniker were closed in 1959 by the Hopkinton-Everett Lakes Flood Control Project.
The Edna Dean Proctor Bridge, a stone double-arch bridge spanning the Contoocook, was built in 1835. A building for Henniker Academy was constructed of split granite in 1836.
Beginning in the late 1800s, the river's scenic beauty attracted tourism.

This is our review of Ammonoosuc Campground in Twin Mountain, NH. We have been coming here since 2010 and really enjoy the atmosphere, location and the camping. There are many things to do and see in the area. This campground has spacious sites, full hookups with 30 amp, seasonal sites, electric and water sites and tent sites with lean too's. It has a pool, horseshoes, playground, firewood for sale, and a very clean bath house. It also has an occasional bear. This is one of our favorites, we hope you can visit and see why.
