SOLVANG, California!
And So we are very excited to share our impressions of the trip to Solvang.
We will recommend you 11 places from which you can choose the ones you like to add to your list to visit.
Let’s start our morning at Paulas Pancake house to Enjoy world famous Danish Pancakes before starting to wonder around the village.
You don’t need to go to Denmark to experience authentic Danish architecture, culture and cuisine because Solvang establish itself as a popular destination for tourists seeking bit of europe in united states.
It took us about an hour to walk around the village, enjoy authentic danish architecture, large European style windmills , tidy, flower-lined streets, and also do some souvenirs shopping in the small boutique shops.
There are five major bakeries in Solvang and Most of these bakeries are owned and operated by multiple-generations-old Danes. And even if you guys aren't hungry yet, I still highly recommend that you grab a couple of delicious pastries from these amazing bakeries.
Let's make a quick stop at the Hans-Christian Anderson Museum before going for lunch in the famous Copenhagen sausage Garden located in the heart of Solvang. Ok, All I can say here is it was incredibly delicious and this is just a must visit place.
The second part of the day is all positivity and fun! Just in 8-minute drive from Salong, you are in bird paradise.
Ostrichland is a 33-acre breeding farm that is home to more than 100 ostriches and emus.
Admission is $7 and a big bowl of ostrich food costs an extra dollar.
You can get up close and personal with these amazing birds And get filled with positive energy for the rest of the day.
And now is the time to remember that you are in the heart of Santa Barbara County wine country, and this is a place for wine tasting.
I want to point out that we used a Grape line wine tour company for this adventure and the wine tasting cost us $159 per person which included a trip to three different wineries and one hour stop at charming town los olivos to continue drinking.
Alright guys, los olivos is another must visit destination while travel to solvang or santa ynez valley.
This is a charming place to visit for a wine tasting experience, art, shopping and an unforgettable photo session.
It’s a laid-back place where locals sit on wooden porches and chat with friends and visitors; and most people wear jeans, cowboy boots and casual attire.
Just 18 minutes from downtown Solvang and you can discover all the natural wonders of Cachuma Lake Recreation Area.
There is so much to do —from hiking, boating, kayaking and fishing or you can just come to this gorgeous place for a relaxing day or a picnic on the shore.
And let's finish our day in a Picturesque and very tasty restaurant AJ Spurs located at small town Buellton just 8 minutes away from Solvang.
This restaurant is also featured in the oscar award winning movie Sideways.
Awesome, eccentric restaurant, friendly atmosphere and positive dining experience are guaranteed!

Taking a day trip to Solvang to do window shopping. Dining at the famous Pea Soup Anderson in Buellton and trying to get lucky at the Chumash Casino Resort. All located in the beautiful Santa Ynez Valley in Southern California.

In this video, we explore the Danish Village of Solvang, discover amazing geology at Gaviota State Beach, sample world-famous pea soup in Buellton and make friends with ostriches.
Solvang is located 45 minutes away from Santa Barbara. This is a major tourist attraction, and the restaurants and bars were very busy. The Danish influence in this town is quaint to explore and the bakeries and cafes all have a Danish theme.
It became more famous through the movie Sideways which was based and filmed in. Solvang.
We will say that is the main attraction appears to be wine and beer tasting, so not really up our alley
Gaviota State Beach was an absolute dream. Deserted beach with white sand and gentle waves. Gaviota has a popular campground and although it was full, once again, not a soul on the beach.
Buellton was once a thriving service town and now relies on tourism as the main attraction. Andersens was a fun place to stop and sample the soup and the history room was filled with local information. An extremely popular lunch spot. The soup was indeed scrumptious.
What can we say about the Ostrich Farm? We weren't expecting it and it was a roadside attraction that put smiles on our faces for hours afterward. Those ostriches were very pushy ????
