We're Lost in Oman.
The idea was simple. Get a 4x4 Jeep, find cool places to stay on google maps, and go. This adventure camping video is a 2 week road trip though the deserts, and cliffs of Oman in the Middle East. This is now my favorite was to find free campsites. You couldn't pay money for places better than this.
Eva Zu Beck and I found some of the most epic places to pitch a tent I have ever seen. Some of the places we stayed were truly wild, and are all pinned below.

In this travel vlog we visit Muscat and it's mosque. We swim with turtles at Al-Daymaniyat Islands. We hired a car and drove to Bimmah Sinkhole and
Wadi Shab & Wadi Bani khalid. We spend a night in the desert and walk Oman's answer to the Grand Canyon in Jebel Shams.

This year we are traveling all over the world and after the Canary Islands, Oman is our second destination. In this episode, we arrive in the capital city of Muscat and drive through a fairytale world through the desert to the mountains. We visit the souk, the marina, the great mosque of the sultan, see camels and walk along the Arabian Grand Canyon in Jebel Shams.

In February 2023, I embarked on a week-long trip, solo camping through Oman. I spent the week living, sleeping, and exploring in my car, all alone as a woman.
Oman felt like a reminder of all the reasons I love travel: making local connections, being surrounded by nature, and experiencing the world in a new way. It reminded me of my own strength and bravery, and was one of the most incredible places I've ever explored as a solo female traveler.

Hello to all my friends, family, and followers -- I have arrived safely in Yemen and I will be exploring deep into the country by myself and one local guide over the next week.
Yemen is (by far) the most difficult country in the world to visit in terms of logistics (getting a visa, planning, etc) and staying safe. I'm sure you are aware that since 2011, Yemen has been in a constant state of war. Tourists are not welcome here, and it's extremely risky for any traveler to visit at this moment -- especially as both an American and a journalist. I am double at risk.
That all being said, I am beyond excited to have this rare opportunity to take you inside one of the most hidden and raw cultures left on earth. My first 24 hours have already been one hell of an emotional ride (as you'll see in this video) -- and you will be hearing lots more over the coming week.
