WINTER IN CANADA! The Good, The Bad, and the Cold...

Many people ask us what winter in Canada is like. How do we survive? How do our cars start? How do our pipes not freeze? For people who live in tropical climates, it's perplexing to think that we live our lives through -30, -50, and even colder for up to 6 months of the year!

We can see how this might seem crazy, so we've gone ahead and put together a video to explain how it all works!

(Subtitles in English and Spanish)

The winter is good, bad, and just plain cold. The good is that it brings immense beauty with nature covered in a blanket of white snow, as well as many activities such as skiing, snowmobiling, snowshoeing, and more. The bad is that it's very cold, icy, and sometimes just plain miserable.

You really need to find an outdoor activity that helps you enjoy the winter. Otherwise, you'll be in your home all day!

I JUST HATE TORONTO WINTERS | Brutal Winters in Canada!!

My first ever Toronto Winter Vlog! Winters in Toronto, Canada have a bad reputation for being notoriously cold, depressing and ugly. Heavy snowstorm in Toronto, wind chill, below freezing temperatures are common for the winter months of December to February and not just that, Canadian winters are completely out of hand! Lasting for 6-9 months out of 12 in some states.

Today I have vlogged my first hand experience of my first winter in Canada and how all my plans to indulge in winter activities in Toronto just went into waste because of a small mistake. My first Christmas in Toronto was spent in bed and I felt the wrath of Toronto winters for the next few days.

I had initially planned to visit the Toronto winter village in Distillery district for Christmas and some other Christmas markets around downtown Toronto and show you all about it but life had other plans.

Winter Snow Storm Wonderland in Quebec City Heavy Snowfall Extreme Cold Freezing Weather 4K
EXTREME WINTER SNOW STORM BLIZZARD 2023 in Quebec City Canada Winter Heavy Snowfalls and Extreme Cold Weather Winter Storms 4K video.
In this video I filmed extreme winter snowstorm blizzard in old Quebec city heavy snowfall, extreme cold and blizzard sound. It's like in hallmark winter movie. I hope was able to show the harsh extreme cold weather conditions and the effects it had on the city and people, including heavy snow fall and high winds blizzard storm. The snow season in Quebec is long and lots of snow accumulation. The snowfall totals may get very high and winter can have many snow days. People who live in Quebec definitely need a good snow blower and snow boots. The footage captures winter city live and difficulty faced by residents as they navigate through the snow-covered streets. Enjoy this Quebec city tour in winter!

The first stop for any winter adventurer aiming to conquer Alberta must be the province’s mountains. Feel the rush of the wind on a ski excursion, or take things a little more slowly and enjoy a leisurely skate on one of the icy lakes Alberta is so famous for.

If you aren’t the athletic type, don’t worry: the views you’ll find here are just as good from inside a cozy local cafe as they are on the slopes!

Alberta’s winters allow you to immerse yourself in icy exploration, delicious seasonal cuisine, and a culture all its own.

Sure, there are plenty of places on earth where you can enjoy a snowy winter season, but few of them are as immense and rugged as an Alberta winter. Isn’t it time to experience it for yourself?

How to tell Good Moonshine from Bad Moonshine

youtube travel videos

In the days when Moonshine was illegal, Tennessee moonshiners like Ronald Lawson had to be able to work out the difference between Good Moonshine and Bad Moonshine by eye. Bad Moonshine has too high a alcohol content and can be dangerous to drink, causing such problems as blindness.

Ronald has made illegal Moonshine all his life in Cannon County, for the last two years, he has made legal Moonshine at Short Mountain Distillery, using a recipe passed down since prohibition days.

Winter in Canada / Hiver au Canada

Winter in Canada is more than just igloos and icebergs. It’s about exploration. It’s nature right at our doorsteps. It’s the way that our cities come to life to find warmth and connect with people. We don't hide from the cold. We throw on a tuque and head outside.
