Discovering the Beauty of Conakry, Guinea: My First-Time Experience. | Guinea Conakry Vlog
Summer 2022, my family and I traveled to Guinea Conakry. My sisters and I were visiting for the first time. During the process of going I bought a camera and promised myself to capture everything. From everyone's smile, all the new dance moves, all the different languages, meeting my father’s side for the first time, all of the hugs received, etc, I was able to make a story with those elements. I wanted this story to be raw and uncut for the audience to see. This is my first personal film and I wanted to let you know that if you’ve made it this far..I appreciate you. There are more memories to come and joy to be spread. Thank you for your support, always.

I got the chance to travel with my sister-in-law, brother, nieces, etc. to Conakry, Guinea. I learned so much about the country, culture, and foods. My sister-in-laws family is part of the Sousou tribe. This was my first visit to Africa, but I will definitely be going back again. My flight was about 21 hours, but the food, people, and experience was all amazing. I hope you enjoy this vlog and look out for the next few days.

Saying goodbye to places you fell in love with is the worst part of traveling. But every day offers aw well a new beginning, a new journey, a new adventure. Follow me from the grasslands of Fouta Djallon to Guineas capital Conakry and the border of Sierra Leone.
When we left Labé and the Fouta Djallon region we realized, that even finding an ATM can be quite an adventure in Guinea. After we were able to pay our petrol again we hit some small roads, met friendly locals and went on a night ride to Guinea's capital Conakry to apply for another visa.
//NOTE: videos were recorded before I had a Youtube Channel - initially used for my Instagram stories. That's the reason for the close ups of my face - they were recorded vertically. I still decided to use them - that's the authentic footage I have and I can't change that anymore. Remember: I just started out with filming and cutting - its a learning curve and far from perfect! If you mind seeing my nose hair every now and then, I can highly recommend you to skip this part of the journey and join again when I will publish my next trips after the country Benin with hopefully improved footage!

WE JUST COMPLETED THE MOST INSANE 10 day road trip across West Africa!! Wow, I cannot believe how many stories we have to tell for the rest of our lives.
I've been traveling with my Spanish buddy Alvaro, who is now 1 country away from visiting every country in the world, and we both agree that this has been one of the most difficult trips of our lives both mentally and physically. It's a logistical nightmare to plan, not to mention the constant corruption and bribery at every police checkpoint and border crossing.
But we did it.
And looking back already, it was an incredible trip and one for the memories. Thank you to everyone who followed our journey along the way! Many more stories to come from Senegal and then onwards to the Middle East and Central Africa!
