What I Wish I Knew Before I Sailed a Princess Cruise
I made a big mistake. You see, I took my first cruise more than a decade ago. And in that time, I've sailed most major cruise lines. But one of the few that I had yet to sail was Princess.
Think about it... I'm a guy in my 30s. A cruise line named Princess doesn't exactly sound like it's made for me. And when I cruise, I'm also a fan of going all out on the ship. I want waterslides. I want to race go-karts. I want to ride the roller coaster. It's go-go-go.
I still like all that, but I've got to tell you, after sailing Princess for the first time last month, I'm also rethinking things. There was a lot that I didn't realize about Princess... and it was a style that's very different from what I'm used to... and... I liked it?!

1. Ship is way bigger than expected
2. Gratuity
3. You can book excursions outside the cruise line also you don’t have to do an excursion in each port
4. How incredible a cruise vacation is, so much different than land
5. Sometime the rate can be adjusted
6. There are specials on the first day (free wine in steakhouse $ deals in spa)
7. Don’t miss the shows!
8. Don’t overpack!
9. You cell phone may night have the correct time! Bring a watch!!
10. Order what you want!

I have been an avid cruiser since I was in my early 20's. Growing up in South Florida, jumping on a cruise ship for vacation has always been one of the easiest vacations. So when I decided to take my first Disney Cruise with my family in 2016, I thought How Different Can It Be?. Well, the answer is simple, some things are very different.
So today I go over 10 Things I Wish I Knew Before My First Disney Cruise. Keep in mind, that these are things specific to Disney Cruise Line, not cruising in general. I will also add that we still love cruising on Royal Caribbean and have 2 cruises booked on RCCL in the next year. But the experiences are different. It's kind of like comparing Universal to Disney. They are both theme parks, but the experiences are different.
