The atmosphere and views from Eagle's Nest Restaurant are simply breathtaking.

Nestling in a timeless valley is the Vingerklip Lodge on the 3000 ha Farm Bertram that is surrounded by a game fence helping us to protect and preserve the animals. Our 1600 ha private reserve has 3 waterholes in various locations around the lodge with the main water-hole being floodlit at night.

Various types of animals including Giraffe, Eland, Zebra, Kudus, Oryx,
Springbok, Impala, Warthogs,Baboons and Steenbok frequently visit the waterholes and are also often spotted when following the walking trails.
One of the most dramatic rock formations in Namibia is the 35m high pillar of rock, the Vingerklip or Finger of Stone. It stands proudly above a valley in the ancient landscape known as the Ugab terraces.

A sheltered sundowner veranda offers breathtaking views of the surrounding countryside and the unmatched splendour of a Namibian sunset. Vingerklip Lodge offers two swimming pools where guests can spend the lazy afternoons. For those who prefer a more luxurious and warmer form of relaxation, the Jacuzzi is open to guests at their convenience.

Vingerklip Lodge offers 12 double unit thatched bungalows comprising 24 rooms with en suite bathrooms which are individually furnished and equipped to satisfy all travellers requirements. Each unit has a private terrace to complete the atmosphere of relaxation and tranquillity. Eight of the units offer loft accommodation for two children each. All units are equipped with air-conditioning.

Day visitors are welcome at Vingerklip Lodge.
You can enjoy our scenic view from our terrace and we are happy to serve you a light meal or anything refreshing from our bar.
Feel free to discover the environment on our walking trails.
If possible please contact us in advance if you wish to spend your day at Vingerklip Lodge to assist us in making your day unforgettable.

A sundowner drive in Vingerklip reserve with a chance to see some animals but guaranteed to see beautiful landscape, and just to enjoy nature while watching the sun set with a glass of champagne.

Vingerklip walk and Vingerklip extension
These two are a long and a short hike to the famous Vingerklip (Rock finger). The shorter trail takes you directly from the Lodge to the Vingerklip.
This walk can be done any time of the day if you would like to do it by yourself and takes about an hour to complete.
The extension of this walk takes you around the North terrace and then to the Vingerklip, this takes about 2 hours to complete.

Mozambique road trip

#Mozambique is a seldom visited country that neighbours South Africa. Whilst South Africans frequent the country, it is little know internationally, which is a shame. The people are some of the nicest you will meet and the place is a #tropicalparadise.
This is just a small montage of our trip there, as we did not really film it to be a full edit. I hope it gives you a small glimpse and makes you want to experience it for yourself.

If you like our video, please subscribe to out fledgling channel that we are busy growing. We have traveled for many years, but are only starting to document it with vlogs now.

Mwandi View Camp | Chobe National Park | Botswana????????

Mwandi View Camp | Chobe National Park | Botswana

Mwandi view camp was a pleasant surprise en route to Savute from Kasane. After spending an amazing two nights at the Chobe Safari Lodge I expected to be entering the bush when I headed into the Chobe National Park.

But I was pleasantly surprised by this little gem of a place. As you will see from the video the campsite has lush green lawns with massive shade trees, electricity and water. And it gets better when you enter the entertainment area with its crystal clear pool, private waterhole and mwandi view of the Chobe river. They also offer free wifi and there is excellent cell signal.

This is a perfect base from which to explore the Chobe NP or en route to Savute.
