Day 1: Eastern Thailand Food and Travel Tour. Watch all 8 videos here:

Welcome to Day 1 of my Eastern Thailand food and travel tour. Eastern Thailand is in my opinion often overlooked or underrepresented when it comes to Thai food. Many people do visit, but they tend to go straight to some of the popular islands like Koh Chang immediately, while passing the rest. Even in Bangkok, just a couple hours drive away, you’ll rarely find any Eastern Thai food. So in this series of videos (), my goal was to learn about Eastern Thai food, culture, and travels, and share it all with you.

Chanthaburi (จันทบุรี) is about a 3 hour drive from Bangkok, and this is where we began. Chanthaburi is a charming little town, next to a river, and plenty of history. One of the icons is the Catholic Church, which is the biggest in Thailand.

Here’s all the Thai food we ate and things we did on this tour of Chanthaburi, Thailand:

Morning Market (ตลาดสวนมะม่วง)
Grilled sticky rice (ข้าวเหนียวปิ้ง) - 10 THB ($0.32)
Grilled chicken (ไก่ย่าง) - 15 THB ($0.48)
Chanthaburi noodles (เส้นจันท์ผัดปู) - 30 THB ($0.96) - These are one of the unique speciality dishes of Chanthaburi, crab noodles that you need to try. They are very sweet, but quite addictive.

Je Eat Reem Nam (เจ๊อี๊ด ริมน้ำ) - Overall, the bowls of noodles here were quite tasty, though portion sizes were quite small. The restaurant is iconic and located in a great location.
Tom yum seafood noodles (ก๋วยเตี๋ยวต้มยำทะเล)
Rice seafood (ข้าวหน้าทะเล)
Total price - 200 THB ($6.39)

Cathedral of Immaculate Conception - This is one of the iconic landmarks and one of the places you must visit in Chanthaburi.

Fish cake (ทอดมันกระวาน) - He watches our videos and saw me walking by. Thanks for the great fishcakes!

Chantorn Pochana (ร้านจันทรโภชนา) - Probably the most well known local food restaurant in Chanthaburi, and for a good reason; their food is outstanding. This is the place to eat local Eastern Thai food in Chanthaburi.
Durian massaman (มัสมั่นทุเรียน)
Gaeng moo chamuang (แกงหมูชมวง)
Pla tom rakam sai krawan (ปลาต้มระกำใส่กระวาน)
Krawan pad cha pla (กระวานผัดฉ่าปลา)
Gaeng pa (แกงป่า)
Saeng wa (แสร้งว่า)
Total price - 1,140 THB ($36.41)

Chamuang (ชมวง) - garcinia cowa
Rakam (ระกำ) - salacca wallichiana
Krawan (กระวาน) - amomum testaceum (cardamom stems)

Ice cream (ไอติมจรวด) - This is a famous place for old style Thai ice cream, must try.
Itim krabuang (ไอติมกระเบื้อง) - 10 THB ($0.32)

Kluay tab (กล้วยทับ) - 20 THB ($3.83) - The grilled bananas are very good.

Nong Bua Market (ตลาดชุมชนหนองบัว) - Interesting Thai street food snack market
Monkey snack (ขนมควยลิง) - 20 THB ($0.64)
Durian ice cream (ไอติมทุเรียน) - 79 THB ($2.52)

Monument of King Taksin the Great (อู่ต่อเรือสมเด็จพระเจ้าตากสินมหาราช) - We finished the day by walking around the Monument and just enjoying being in Chanthaburi.

Thanks to Songkram for joining us!

Spicy Thai Street Food In Chanthaburi Night Market | Thailand ????????

We were hungry so decided to go to the 'Centric Family Night market' here in Chanthaburi Thailand ????????

The weekend night market was super busy with Thai locals so we headed there in search for some tasty spicy Street food.

To start we got some cheap fishcakes which were only 5 THB each and absolutely delicious.

The next dish we bought is one of my favourites which is I believe called 'khao yam neam' for 50 THB the lady made a fresh bowl full of chilli, lime, fish sauce, pickled Pigskin, fried rice balls and all kinds of other ingredients. This dish can be very spicy but it is so tasty especially when you eat it with the leaves they give you.

I then got a Thai energy drink blended with jellies over ice for 30 THB which was so sweet but refreshing and gave me energy to carry on.

We found a lady selling some kind of fish wonton salad for 50 THB so got ourselves a portion and it was surprisingly delicious aswell as being pretty healthy! We also had some sushi which came to 10 THB each piece and again was surprisingly good.

For dessert we got some purple coconut pancakes for 20 THB and these might be my new favorite dessert they are so tasty! Followed by some strange pandan dessert for 20 THB which was not the best and a bit soggy but it's all OK.

Hope you enjoyed this video is just a short one while we were in the night market, I have not seen many youtube videos of this market so thought why not show what this place is like! ????????

Please 'Like' the video if you enjoyed watching. It really does help my videos reach more new viewers!

Hunting Unique Chanthaburi Foods In Crazy Market Streets ????????

Today in Chanthaburi Thailand we set out on a hunt to find some specialty foods that you can only find here ????????

First we met a lovely auntie who was making a mystery snack which we couldn't not purchase she was amazing.

Straight after we found a noodle shop selling pork liang noodle which is a Chanthaburi specialty and it was extremely delicious, the broth is sweetened with pineapple and spices, one of my all time favourite noodle soups for sure and only 40 THB.

We then tried aunties mystery snacks which were delicious but I have no idea what they are so please help us with that!

While walking around Chanthaburi Town we met an amazing subscriber who had the most beautiful corgis! We really appreciate you all so if you see us definitely say hello we love to chat!

We wander through the market streets at daytime to show you how the place changes after sunset and gets crazy!

Got lucky and found a dish we were after! We bought a huge portion of chanthaburis special sen Chan pu for 70 THB, the lady's selling it were again lovely as always with Thai Street sellers.

On the way back to the hotel we met yet another lovely Thai local who we keep bumping into! Oh and on the way back we accidentally found a curry and rice shop selling the special chanthaburi pork and chamuang leaf curry for only 25 THB how could we say no to that!

We got back to the hotel and tried the sen Chan pu on the riverfront terrace which was so tasty, the soft shell crabs were incredibly good I really recommend this dish if you see it.

Night time comes so we headed into the fountain Market area which seems to be a legendary spot here in Chanthaburi city, this place is seriously hectic especially at rush hour after work, we had the most delicious dry yen ta fo noodle dish for again only 40 THB. Its crazy that tourists do not eat street food here in Thailand they have no idea.

To finish the night off we carried on walking through the crazy busy scooter filled market streets before having a few sweet snacks of toasted buns and my all time favourite thai Street food snack of khanom krok. Thanks for watching ????????❤️

Rare Street Food for Breakfast - ICE CUBE RICE + Coconut Milk Noodles!!

???? Chiang Mai Street Food Tour:
???? 100% Durian Chips - Order Here:
???? Khao Chae:

Welcome to Petchaburi, Thailand, a small city and province in the central region of Thailand. Petchaburi is known for its food that’s on the sweet side, Thai desserts, and palm sugar. I this video, it was my first time to walk around the center of the city of Petchaburi, and we found some rare Thai street food dishes for breakfast.

Khao chae (ข้าวแช่) - 25 THB - One of the most famous dishes to eat in Petchaburi is Khao chae (ข้าวแช่). We tried it from a legendary street food stall across the street from the market called Khoa Chae Ba Ean (ร้านข้าวแช่ป้าเอื้อน). The dish is typically served only during the hot season. It includes rice and water scented with jasmine flowers, and combined with ice cubes. You then eat that ice rice with a variety of sweet candy and savory snacks. It’s a very interesting combination and you’re not sure if it’s a main dish or a dessert.

Khanom jeen sao nam (ขนมจีนซาวน้ำ) - 20 THB - Right around the corner from the khao chae is another equally popular Thai street food stall in Petchaburi that serves a variety of different khanom jeen noodles and curry. One of the dishes they serve that rare to find is called sao nam, a combination of coconut cream, dry shrimp, pineapple, and garlic. It’s an amazing and unique combination.

It was a quick stop in Petchaburi, but I really enjoyed its peaceful charm, and especially the delicious noodles for breakfast.

Thank you for watching, hope you’re having a fantastic day!

Let’s explore 'CHANTHABOON RIVERSIDE COMMUNITY and enjoy ‘CRAB BUFFET' in ‘CHANTHABURI' !!

There’re plenty of homestays in Chanthaburi. Most of them will provide a little water park and combined crab buffet in a package. But if you plan to stay somewhere else and want only the crab buffet. I find it very hard to find such a place except for this place, ''Chitnava homestay.’' The owner is very kind too!

Day 2 (Chanthaburi จันทบุรี)): Eastern Thailand Food and Travel Tour. Watch all 8 videos here:

Chanthaburi (จันทบุรี), Thailand and the entire eastern coast of Thailand are known for incredible seafood, and I was especially excited for this day, to meet Uncle Tom (ป้าหลุยลุงทอม), the Oyster King of Thailand!

Ban Ta Chaelab Pier (ท่าเรือบ้านท่าแฉลบ) - From Chanthaburi town, we drove to the pier to meet up with Uncle Tom who would pick us up in his boat. Uncle Tom is an amazing man, friendly and care, and he knows his seafood.

First, we took the boat to Uncle Tom’s oyster plot in the brackish open waters of the bay. He pulled out giant strands of oysters soaking in the salty water. It was pretty cool to see.

Then we headed over to Uncle Tom’s floating raft restaurant where his wife was already busy preparing a huge Thai seafood meal. She cooked half a dozen dishes, including the massive oysters. The food was awesome, the setting was perfect. This was one of the best experiences I had in Chanthaburi, Thailand!

Here are all the dishes we had:

Oysters (หอยนางรม)
Oyster omelet (ไข่เจียวหอยนางรม)
Tom yum goong (ต้มยำกุ้ง)
Sen Chan pad boo (เส้นจันท์ผัดปู)
Fried barramundi (ปลากระพงทอด)

Cha yen (ชาเย็น) - 25 THB ($0.76) per cup - Thai tea

Pad thai (ผัดไทย), Hoy tod (หอยทอด) - This was formerly a street food cart that now has their own permanent shophouse location. They make pretty decent Pad Thai and they hoy tod, which in this case in a mussels omelet, is pretty good as well.
Total price - 125 THB ($3.81)

Total price - 70 THB ($2.14) for everything

Chao guay (เฉาก๋วย) - 25 THB ($0.76) - For dessert, I had grass jelly with ice. The owner was so friendly and happy.

Haircut - 100 THB ($3.05)

Pad kra prao moo krob kai dao (ผัดกระเพราหมูกรอบไข่ดาว) - Final meal of this Bangkok street food tour, I headed across the street to Petchaburi Soi 10 to seek out one of my old time favorites. The stall was still there, and they make a pretty good plate of Thai crispy pork belly fried with basil.
Price - 40 THB ($1.22)

Thank you for joining me on this Thai street food tour of Petchaburi Soi 5 (เพชรบุรี ซอย 5). It’s the type of street you can walk through and just choose whatever you like to eat.

Thai Food at Tha Kha Floating Market (ตลาดน้ำท่าคา) - Don't Miss Aunty's Fried Oyster Omelet!

►Read the blog for details on how you can visit Tha Kha Floating Market:
►Subscribe now for more food videos:
►Camera gear I use:

There are many floating markets you can visit when you’re in Thailand, and even there are some floating markets located right within Bangkok that are very nice (Khlong Lat Mayom is very nice in Bangkok:

Then there are also many floating markets about a 1 or 1.5 hour drive from Bangkok in a province called Samut Songkhram. In Samut Songkhram there are a number of other famous floating markets. Damnoen Saduak is the most famous of all, and it’s very touristy and gets very packed on the weekend. Amphawa is another Thai floating market that’s big and busy. But I wanted to go to a quieter and more peaceful floating market, so we decided to go to Tha Kha Floating Market (ตลาดน้ำท่าคา), located very close to Amphawa.

It was my first time to visit Tha Kha Floating Market (ตลาดน้ำท่าคา), and I was pleasantly surprised by how small, friendly, and local it was. There’s not a whole lot to do, but there are plenty of floating boats serving food and you can also buy lots of fresh ingredients which come from this area.

Along with plenty of Thai food snacks I ate during this tour of Tha Kha Floating Market (ตลาดน้ำท่าคา), the best thing was the hoy tod (หอยทอด), a fried oyster omelet. There’s something about eating an oily fried oyster omelet when you go to a floating market - it’s kind of like going to a sports game and eating a hot dog - they just go so well together.

I also enjoyed the fruits available at the market, especially starfruit, which was likely picked right off the tree of the lady who was selling it.

When you’re in Thailand, if you want to go to a quiet and peaceful floating market that’s not overly busy and still remains quite local Tha Kha Floating Market (ตลาดน้ำท่าคา) is an amazing option.

Extremely flavorful Thai deer curry with pineapple crowns!

Day 3 (Traveling from Chanthaburi → Trat (จันทบุรี → ตราด): Eastern Thailand Food and Travel Tour. Watch all 8 videos here:

We continued on our Eastern Thailand food and travel tour, today driving from Chanthaburi to Trat. Trat (ตราด sometimes also spelled Trad in English) is the Eastern most part of Thailand, bordering Cambodia. They are famous for fruit, and a few islands, especially Koh Chang that are popular tourist destinations.

Thai phrase of the day:
“If you haven’t eaten it, you haven’t arrived” (ถ้าไม่ได้กิน ถือว่า มาไม่ถึง)

Key ingredients of the day:
Naw sabparod (น่อสับปะรด) - pineapple crowns
Sala (สละ) - salacca zalacca

For breakfast though, still in Chanthaburi, we ate a dish that many say you have to eat in Chanthaburi, known as kuay teow moo liang.

Kuay Teow Moo Ba Malee (ก๋วยเตี๋ยวหมูป้ามาลี) - Decent restaurant, nice quiet neighborhood location.
Kuay teow moo liang (ก๋วยเตี๋ยวหมูเลียง)
Kuay teow neua liang (ก๋วยเตี๋ยวเนื้อเลียง)
Price - 30 THB ($0.96) per bowl

Khao Gaeng San Toong (ข้าวแกงแสนตุ้งเจ๊มล (เจ้าเก่า) - The meal I was most looking forward to during this day though was a legendary Thai rice and curry restaurant serving Thai Trat style curry and rice. They didn’t have a huge selection of Thai curries, but what they did have was spectacular. Their deer curry with pineapple crowns, was the dish of the meal - amazing Thai food.
Fish curry (แกงปลาขาไก่)
Deer curry (แกงกวางหน่อสับปะรด)
Green curry, king mackerel fish balls (แกงเขียวหวานลูกชิ้นปลาอินทรีย์)
Mackerel (ปลาทูต้มเค็ม)
Cockle pineapple curry (แกงหอยสับปะรด)
Total price - 380 THB ($12.13)

Thai Street Food in Bangkok - MOST POPULAR LUNCH Noodles in Downtown Silom, Thailand!

Thai street food lunch tour in Silom, Bangkok!

I met up with my friend Drew Binsky (check out his YouTube channel: and Facebook: to go on a lunch-rush street food tour of Silom.

Silom is one of the main financial business districts of Bangkok, it’s a downtown of Bangkok. Everyday at lunch floods of people from their offices come down for lunch and enjoy delicious street food. What I love so much about Silom is because it has such a vibrant and busy lunchtime rush, and that’s part of the fun.

We arrived a little early, to get a couple lunches in before the main lunch. The highlight of this Thai street food tour for me was Kuay Teow Khae (ก๋วยเตี๋ยวแคะ (โคตร โคตร) คอนแวนต์), one of the most popular lunch noodles shops in Bangkok!

Ok, here’s all the food we ate in this tour:

Khao Man Gai Ban Deed Kim (ข้าวมันไก่บัญฑิตคิม) - If you’ve ever gotten off the BTS at Sala Daeng station and walked down Soi Convent, you’ve probably walked right by this stall. And I’ve walked past it hundreds of times, but this was actually my first time to stop and eat there. They are well known in Bangkok for their khao man gai (ข้าวมันไก่), Thai style Hainanese chicken and rice. We each ordered a plate to get things started. Overall, very good, light fluffy rice with just the right amount if chicken oil, bouncy chicken, and fermented soybean sauce.
Price - 50 THB ($1.52)

Yee Jay (ยีเจ ก๋วยเตี๋ยวเนื้อตุ๋น-หมูตุ๋น) - Next we took a little walk through Silom, Downtown Bangkok, to another popular beef noodle shop. Again, it was my first time to eat here. We arrived before the main lunch rush, but at 11 am they were already preparing for the crowds with big amounts of meat waiting to be served. We had bowls of everything (เกาเหลาทุกอย่าง), including organs and braised beef. Their soup was fragrant with Chinese spices and the aroma of beef. It’s not the best bowl of braised beef soup in Bangkok, but it’s decent.
Price - 70 THB ($2.14)

Kuay Teow Khae (ก๋วยเตี๋ยวแคะ (โคตร โคตร) คอนแวนต์) - Finally for the main lunch, we went to one of the most popular Thai street food noodle stalls in Silom. For lunch everyday they are packed, every single seat, and if you arrive at a time like when we did, you have to wait to get a seat - sometimes 30 minutes or more. They have a few different options, but we all ordered their signature special bowl (เส้นโซบะยำแห้ง), including egg noodles topped with everything. This is one of the better single bowls of noodles in Bangkok in my opinion.
Price - 60 THB ($1.83)

Khanom Tokyo (ขนมโตเกียว (ลุงโตเกียว) - Lastly, to end this Thai street food tour in Bangkok, we were just walking past with Uncle Tokyo called us over to try his snacks. He makes both savory (with a hot dog) and sweet versions, filled with a variety of different custards. Drew and I had to try the hot dog, mostly just for fun… I’ll be honest, not a big fan of Thai hot dogs, but the sweet ones were great. And Uncle Tokyo is such a nice friendly man. If you are on Soi Convent in Silom around lunchtime, go say hi to him!
Price - 4 for 10 THB ($0.30)

And that completes this Thai street food tour in Silom, hope you enjoyed it!

FAVOURITE THAI TOWN and BEST Thai Noodle Soup EVER! ???????? - 1 Day in Chanthaburi (Koh Chang Stopover)

00:00 Intro
00:40 Seafood noodles
09:41 Old town
10:36 Riverside coffee
12:46 Church
15:29 Park
18:43 Summary of Chanthaburi

I didn't have long on the way back from Koh Chang but I couldn't miss a trip to probably, my favourite Thai town - Chanthaburi. I only got to spend one day in Chanthaburi but hopefully, I've shown you enough to convince you it's worth a look if you're travelling from or travelling to Koh Chang (or Koh Mak, Koh Kood etc.)

I think the main reason I love Chanthaburi so much is that it's home to what I've said (for what it's worth) is my favourite bowl of Thai noodle soup that I've had anywhere...EVER! The shop is called Jae Eid Seafood Noodles (เจ๊อี๊ด ริมน้ำ) and for me, it's a must eat. The tom yum seafood noodles are AMAZING!

Now when I say something is the best, I mean it's the best I've had, not literally the best as I couldn't possibly eat every bowl of noodle soup in the country! That being said, if you love noodle soup as much as I do, I'm sure you won't be disappointed.

I also checked out a really nice riverside cafe selling speciality coffee called ชงดี By C.A.P that I'd definitely recommend.

Sorry I couldn't find the two dishes I wanted to show you but fear not, I will be back in Chanthaburi as soon as I can!
