The Jet boat specifications are impressive - Powered by two 350 Mercruiser V8's boasting 700 horsepower combined. Propulsion, steering and control is through two Hamilton 212 Jet Units thrusting 760 litres of water per second.

Shotover Jet is World's most exciting jet boat ride. It’s a breath-taking ride through dramatic and narrow canyons, and Queenstown’s only exhilarating full 360° spins and beyond. This summer (January 2018), I took the opportunity to experience this Jet Boat Ride in Queenstown near Arthur's Point. I will definitely recommend this. They charge approximately 160 NZD per adult. But they also offer family package which is comparatively cheaper. Total time approximately 30 minutes.

Shotover JET in Queenstown, New Zealand - KJET Gopro POV Footage
To have a memorable Jet boating experience, I had booked for one-hour boating ride through KJet. The ride covered 45kms over the pure waters of Lake Wakatipu. It was fantastic to view the stunning mountain range, river gardens, homes lining the lakeshore, and beautiful clean waters. The cost of the ride per adult is $135 and per child between 5 to 14 years is $69. Kids below the age of 5 years can travel for free and those above 14 years will be eligible for adult rates.
Tip: Be prepared to get wet and gain some adrenaline, also try not to wear glasses or hat, because one guy lost his glasses because of the wind and speed :D
