The megacity Shanghai, China and its skyline explored by drone.
I recently traveled to China and had the chance to take some awesome aerial footage of the megacity Shanghai with my DJI Mavic 2 Pro in 4k.
The iconic Pudong skyline of this metropolis is truly amazing with its futuristic skyscrapers, such as the World Financial Center, mixed into the classic Chinese architectural style. Especially during night when the Bund skyline is illuminated Shanghai shows its true beauty and invites you to explore the city.

Shanghai Skyline from Above - Flying over China's most Cosmopolitan City | Aerial Drone Tour
Aerial view of Shanghai, one of China’s most captivating cities. From the historic Bund waterfront to the futuristic skyline filled with awe-inspiring buildings.
Shanghai has grown into the largest and wealthiest city in China, and some of its transformations are absolutely mind-boggling. At the same time, the city keeps some of its original character in some of the traditional neighborhoods, creating stunning visual contrasts. The metropolis is one of China's most popular travel destinations to visit.
In this short film, I explore some of the main highlights of this modern Chinese megacity with a drone. You will see footage of the spectacular Pudong financial district (including its iconic three skyscrapers, the Jin Mao Tower, Shanghai World Financial Center, and the Shanghai Tower), the beautifully preserved Bund, some of the most photogenic intersections in the world, and more.
The video starts in the early morning and finishes up in the night, when the city’s epic skyline is illuminated with amazing neon lights.
*** The footage in this video was made in the years before the global pandemic. I am currently not traveling, like most people in the world. ***

Milwaukee aerials | Wisconsin 4K Mavic 2 Pro drone footage
Milwaukee, Wisconsin aerial footage. Throughout the summer I was able to film Milwaukee with my DJI Mavic 2 Pro and captured some good amount of footage so I decided to release another video featuring downtown area of this growing city. Really cool architecture mixed with old and modern buildings.
All captured in 4K with DJI Mavic 2 Pro drone.
Edited in Premiere Pro 2019.

I recently traveled back to Shanghai and took some more aerial footage of the megacity Shanghai with my DJI Mavic 2 Pro in 4k. This time I focused less on the Pudong and Lujiazui area and more on the Bund side. Even if not focused on the iconic Pudong skyline Shanghai offers amazing skyscrapers and impressive constructions.

Jinqiao (Chinese: ; pinyin: Jīnqiáo; literally: 'Golden Bridge') is a town of Pudong, Shanghai, China. It is located in the middle of Pudong, with Zhangjiang Hi-Tech Park on its south, Huangpu River at its north, overlooking Lujiazui Financial and Trade Center to its west. On its north side, is Waigaoqiao Free Trade Zone and harbor. Jinqiao has a national development zone - Jinqiao Export Processing Zone. The area contains a relatively high proportion of foreign nationals and is notable for its large number of International Schools and comfortable environment.

8 YEARS in SHANGHAI/ 4K AERIAL - from a tiny GERMAN Village to a MEGA CITY
In this video i show you the tiny village where i came from compared to the mega city SHANGHAI. All footage was shoot over 2 years. This video is best viewed in 4K (even if you only watching on a Full HD Monitor)
WHY I MADE IT:
I always asked myself the question how i ended up from growing up in a tiny village in Germany, to living in a mega city. I planed this video since 2 years i believe, but never had the chance to seriously start working on it. In the hope that one day I could seriously start working on it, I took many different shots with my mavic pro and tried to squeeze the best last bit out of it. I hope that i can tell the story about life itself. We never know where we gonna go in the future. And only until we actually arrive in the place of our destiny will we really see, how narrow our view was. How small we were thinking. In life, our perspective is sometimes so small, and we forget to think bigger. But how much more important is it, to not forget where we came from, to remind ourselves, that every moment of our files is just a tiny piece of the puzzle in the big picture of it all.
I am so glad to finally share this with you and i hope you enjoy it.
