Peloponnese, Greece Road Trip στα ορεινά χωριά της Μεσσηνίας
Αυτο ειναι ενα μικρο οδοιπορικο στα πανεμορφα ορεινα χωρια της Μεσσηνιας στην Πελοποννησο. Σε αυτο το βιντεο με αφετηρια το χωριο Κλημα, καπου στα 329 μετρα υψομετρο, ξεκιναω για να σας δειξω τα γυρω χωρια τα οποια βρισκονται μολις 30 λεπτα απο την πολη της Καλαματας, καποια αξιοθεατα και ομορφες διαδρομες.
Επισκεπτομαι τα χωρια Αρσινοη, Αρχαια Μεσσηνη οπου και κανω σταση στην περιφημη Αρκαδικη Πυλη και επειτα οδηγω προς το χωριο Μαγγανιακο. Πριν ο ηλιος να δυσει επισκεπτομαι ενα απο τα μεγαλυτερα χωρια της περιοχης, το Τρικορφο οπου κανω σταση για ενα παγωμενο freddo espresso στο Cafe Yameia και χαιρετω τον Σπυρο ο οποιος ειναι ο ιδιοκτητης. Πηγαινω προς το κεντρο του χωριου για να δω ενα παλιο μαχητικο αεροπλανο το οποιο αποτελει και περηφανο αξιοθεατο της ευρυτερης περιοχης. Στη συνεχεια ανεβαινω προς το χωριο Δραΐνα οπου και απολαμβανω την υπεροχη θεα προς το Μεσσηνιακο καμπο και στο βαθος ο Μεσσηνιακος Κολπος. Κατηφοριζω ξανα προς το χωριο Τρικορφο με τον ηλιο να δινει ενα χρυσαφι χρωμα στη βλαστηση λιγο πριν δυση. Την επομενη ημερα ανηφοριζω προς το βουνο που οι ντοπιοι λενε Ψωριαρη οπου και βρισκεται το εκκλησακι του Προφητη Ηλια με πανεμορφη θεα.
Ολα τα παραπανω μερη ειναι ευκολα προσβασιμα τοσο απο την πολη της Καλαματας οπως και απο την Πυλο, Μεθωνη και Κορωνη. Τα χωρια της Ελλαδας μας ειναι πανεμορφα και εκει χτυπαει η καρδια της χωρας μας. Μακρια απο το τσιμεντο, την πολυκοσμια και τους γρηγορους ρυθμους. Ευχομαι ολοι μας καποια στιγμη να επιστρεψουμε στις ιδιαιτερες πατριδες μας και να αρχισουμε να ζουμε ξανα!

This is a small road trip video that features beautiful mountain villages in Messinia, Peloponnese, Greece. I am visiting the villages of Arsinoe, Ancient Messene and the famous Arcadian Gate, Magganiako, Trikorfo, Draina and the small church of Prophet Elijah. This is where the heart of Greece beats. These are our hometowns and our legacy.
The places I'm visiting are only 30 minutes away from the city of Kalamata, a little further away from the cities of Pylos, Methoni and Koroni and are easily accessible. This video was filmed with the GoPro Hero 8 Black. No need to say that this is an excellent camera to use at any time. For me, this is the best action camera money can buy!
If you have never visited Greece, then you miss a lot of beauty in this world! Any time of the year, 365 days a year, Greece offers amazing landscapes, unique people and excellent food. From rivers, lakes and mountains to truly amazing sandy and rocky beaches, Greece has it all. Such a small country but with so vast diversity considering the scenery, the food habits, the traditions, the people.
Greece thrives during summertime. The warm sun and the amazing beaches with crystal clear waters will leave you breathless. Not to mention the glorious sunsets by the beach. Some of the top destinations during the summer include the Greek islands of course like Mykonos, Santorini, Paros, Naxos, Milos, Rhodes and Crete in the Aegean Sea and Lefkada, Corfu, Kefalonia, Ithaca, Zakynthos and Paxos in the Ionian Sea. As far as mainland goes, top travel destinations are considered the city of Athens, Peloponnese peninsula, Epirus and Chalkidiki up north. Honestly, I could continue forever doing this but you get the picture.

Summer Road Trip to Peloponnese GREECE #greecetravel #gopro
This video shows some of the most scenic routes in the Peloponnese, Greece. I drive in Lakonia, in the eastern and central Mani region through beautiful coastal and mountainous landscapes while listening to relaxing jazz music.
Surrounded by the Mediterranean Sea, Mani has a culture all its own. Mani is famous for the people who always respect the idea of honor, for its stone towers and its excellent Mediterranean cuisine.
I know that most foreigners like to visit the Greek islands like Mykonos, Santorini, Naxos, Crete and Lefkada in summer, but when they go to mainland Greece, they go here, in Mani Peloponnese, because the landscape has a wild natural beauty that leaves you breathless. Not to mention the picturesque traditional villages where you can have a rest and enjoy local delicacies.

Peloponnese, Greece - 10 Day Road Trip 2022
After my relaxing time in Zakynthos, I hopped off the ferry at Kyllini and began my road trip around the Peloponnese region of Greece for 10 days. Here is what I did:
Day 1 - first stop, Olympia! I arrived around midday, checked into the hotel and then headed to the archeological site of Ancient Olympia. The ticket also included access to the archaeological museum and the museum of the history of the Olympic games of antiquity which I also enjoyed. There wasn't much else to see in Olympia besides stroll the main street which was full of touristy shops.
Day 2 - drive from OIympia to Methoni with a stop at Voidokilia beach. I enjoyed the small seaside town of Methoni with it's impressive castle and great sunset views where the Ionian and Mediterranean seas meet.
Day 3 - drive from Methoni to Kardamyli. I first took a detour to Ancient Messini on the way which was definitely worth seeing. I arrived in the lovely seaside town of Kardamyli in the afternoon and had a nice stroll around before relaxing at the beach.. until the rain started!
Day 4 - day spent in and around Kardamyli. I first did a hike up to Agia Sofia and then continued a little further into the mountains. I then checked out the Mourtzinos Tower area before heading to the beaches - Foneas and Delfinia.
Day 5 - Kardamyli to Mystras. I made two lovely stops on the Mani Peninsula along the way - Stoupa and Limeni. When I arrived in Mystras, I had lunch in the little town and then checked out Sparti at night.
Day 6 - Mystras to Nafplio. In the morning, I headed into the Archelogical site of Mystras and wondered around for about 2 hours, walking all the way up to the castle. I then started to make my way to Nafplio; I made a detour lunch stop to the small mountainous village of Levidi which is my grandfather's village. I arrived in Nafplio in the late afternoon and had a relaxing rest of the day.
Day 7 - day exploring Nafplio; walking around the old town, checking out the fortress and enjoying some relaxation at the beach.
Day 8 - trip to Epidavros in the morning before spending the rest of the day in Tolo.
Day 9 - Nafplio to Aigio. On the way, I first stopped at Mycenae before completing the journey to Aigio, the city of my grandmother. It was a nice place to stay off the beaten track with a buzzing waterfront and beach area!
Day 10 - final day; I spent the morning and early afternoon relaxing in Aigio before heading off on a 3 hour drive to Igoumenitsa for my next adventure!

Θα ακολουθήσει εξόρμιση στε χωριά της ενδοχώρας όπως ο Πολύλοφος όπου θα βρεθούμε στη μεγάλη Γιορτή Σύκου! Σειρά θα έχουν οι Γαργαλιάνοι, η Μαραθούπολη και τέλος η Κυπαρρησία! Γύρος Πελοποννήσου ν7 - Το άδοξο τέλος
Το τελευταίο επεισόδιο του κύκλου δυστυχώς δεν είχε το τέλος που περίμενα. Στην Μεσσηνία, ξεκινώντας από την Καλαμάτα συνεχίζω το ταξίδι παραλιακά, στο κάστρο της Μεθώνης, στην Βοιδοκοιλιά τόσο με μαγικά πλάνα από το drone όσο και κολυμπώντας στα πράσινα νερά της.
Και μετά; Κολοσούρτης; Γιατί τέτοια ξαφνική αλλαγή πορείας;;;
