In April 2017 I left Australia for a solo trip around the world on a BMW F800GS. I named it “Are We There Yet” because I don't know my final destination or the duration of this journey.
Throughout my journey, I'm raising money for a young disabled child in Poland named Franek. Franek was diagnosed with cerebral palsy (weakness of the entire right side of the body) and he will require constant rehabilitation for the rest of his life. Visiting Gaultois on Newfoundland's South Coast
Gaultois is a 20 minute ferry ride from Hermitage in the Coast of Bays area of Central Newfoundland. It is located on rugged Long Island where travel is often by foot. There are no cars or taxis but there are various trails to walk and we enjoyed the 3 km trek to the re-settled community of Piccaire.

The beautiful coastline of Newfoundland is rugged and the waters here are incredibly fertile. Our next destination is the community of Francios (pron. Fran-sway), one that you can only access from water or helicopter.

A ferry crossing from Pool's Cove to Rencontre East to Bay L'Argent in Fortune Bay, Newfoundland, Canada. A total of 3 hours sailing time with a half hour stopover in Rencontre East. This is a very clean ferry with satellite TV for the travelling public. Snacks and pop are available from onboard vending machines. This crossing was recorded on November 4, 2011. A great way to experience the sights, sounds and friendly people of outport Newfoundland.

Rencontre East ~ Newfoundland and Labrador, is a small, outport community in Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada located north east of Belleoram, and west of Terrenceville in Fortune Bay.
This place has so much to offer and it’s a great way to go off grid and just enjoy a little time away from your busy schedules. Exploring this area is so amazing and has so much to offer.
I’m planning to return this year and leaving from the Harbour Brenton area and explore some of that coastline.
I’m excited to share what I have planned for this upcoming summer season of exploring the Newfoundland coastlines.

St. Bernard's is a fishing community in Fortune Bay, which is located 5km southwest of Bay L'Argent. It's in Bay L'Argent that you can take the ferry to Rencontre East or Poll's cove. More to come about these communities.

Grey River is a small town of about 50 families. It was once a fishing village settled back in the 1800's. Today many of the people are seasonal works traveling in nova scotia or western Canada to work. I is an amazing town with a very deep Harbour.
