Pineapple Beach Antigua All Inclusive Resort Tour

Pineapple Beach resort is an adults only all inclusive Antigua resort on a cove beach near a snorkeling reef. Pineapple Beach resort has a laid back island vibe. This Antigua adults only all inclusive resort has a schedule of activities including spin class, beach volleyball, kayaking, name that tune, and tennis. One highlight is the Outhouse BBQ located up on the hill with great views. The shack is decorated with pieces of wood guests find around the resort and decorate.

This is sadly our last full day! We took advantage of the fact that we have the ability to get a day pass to the sister resort, Pineapple Beach Club. We spent a few hours over there, and enjoyed delicious BBQ at The Outhouse.

Antigua - Part II - The Verandah Resort and Spa / Devil's Bridge / Pineapple Beach Club
In this second video from Season 3's Antigua series, the boys review the Verandah Resort and Spa's Nicole's Restaurant.
Devil's Bridge is a natural rock arch in eastern Antigua. It is located on the Atlantic coast near Indian Town Point to the east of Willikies. The area around the arch features several natural blowholes which shoot up water and spray powered by waves from the Atlantic Ocean. This particular location is exposed to waves that are pushed by the Trade Winds with no land between here and Europe. Nearby popular local swimming spots such as Long Cove are sheltered by an offshore reef acts as a natural breakwater. In 2008 it was declared National Park.
The Atlantic waters are rough and it was a known fact that anyone who fell off the bridge would never make it out alive. Local scholars and historians have determined that another reason this area had so many suicides is because there is no land mass between the location of Devil’s Bridge and the West Coast of Africa. It is believed that the enslaved Africans knew which direction they came from, and jumped from Devil’s Bridge in hopes that the raging current of the Atlantic would deliver their bodies back to the cherished Motherland.
Pineapple Beach Club Antigua is located in a tropical hideaway where the beach curves in a perfect quarter-mile arc of brilliant, powdery white sand. Pineapple Beach Club Antigua offers Caribbean-style accommodations amidst 30 acres of lush gardens. Guests can swim in the resort’s two freshwater pools, enjoy the complimentary non-motorized watersports, or dine at one of the seaside restaurants. We make our way up to The Outhouse, a buffet style grill overlooking the beach far below.
Coming up in this series, we'll be visiting the old Blockhouse Fort, Shirley Heights (where the thumbnail pic was taken), Nelson's Dockyard and of course the capital city where the cruise ships dock - St. John's.

Pineapple Beach Club Antigua resort tour
Our first time back following the June 2016 sale by Sandals to Elite Island resorts in Feb/Mar 2017. The resort has been renamed from The Grand Pineapple to the Pineapple Beach club. Not too many changes, some nice improvements but nothing drastic. It is still a slice of heaven and absolutely the friendliest people.
A walk through tour of the Pineapple Beach Club resort in Antigua filmed using my GoPro Hero 4.
After passing through security the road leads down to the hotel. On the left is the Pineapple Grill a la carte restaurant, open four nights a week and converts over to a disco on Thursdays.
Next is the hotel's reception with beautiful gardens that stretch around in front of some of the accommodation.
Continuing past the shop and tortoise enclosure you can see more of the gardens before arriving at the bar/lounge. The evening entertainment is usually performed on the stage.
Next up is the activities centre, snack bar and large pool. Some rooms look over this area with rooms in the high floors having a view of the sea and more of the beach. Suites are coming soon in a newly renovated building. (March 2017)
Coming back through the bar towards the beach, follow the path behind the waterfront rooms to find (Miss Mary's) The Outhouse. This is a must for lunch. Sophia makes a mean rib too.
This is the end of beach with views along the length. It is clearly well located for the bar.
I walk back through the lounge towards the dining area. The dining area to the left is Topaz and on the right after the buffet area is Chef Pietro. Chef Pietro is an Italian themed A La Carte restaurant and open 3 nights/week. The buffet area is on the right first.
The quiet pool (no music played here, only at the larger pool) is opposite Chef Pietro dining area and is close to the day bar, The Aqua Bar.
Coming on to the pristine sand of the beach. There are plenty of loungers located on this idyllic beach. The shore is protected by a reef that is perfect for snorkeling and holds plenty of fish. The waves are never that big, the other side of the reef can be different.
Beachfront accommodation surrounds the beach with the garden and Garden View rooms in the background.
There's a beach volleyball court and the water sports centre at the end of the hotel's beach. There are three Hobie Cat's with a larger one promised for rides. Talk to the water sports team who will gladly take you for a sail. Walk along the rest of the beach at Long Bay for opportunities to see more fish in the turquoise ocean or do some shopping at the vendors mall.
Not shown are the tennis courts behind reception. The views from the Outhouse (formerly Miss Mary's) would make it worth the climb alone, only the food is great too.
This was filmed on a day when England played a cricket ODI against the West Indies at the nearby Sir Viv Richards cricket ground, it was spectacularly quiet as a result as a result. It isn't normally like that.
