Xinjiang Tourism Promotional Video | China's largest province & One Belt One Road

China’s Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, the capital city of Urumqi, is located in Northwest China and is one of China’s five ethnic minority autonomous regions. Covering an area of 1.66 million square kilometers, it is the provincial administrative region with the largest land area in China, accounting for 1/6 of China's total land area. At the end of 2019, the permanent population was 25,232,200. In 2020, the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region will achieve a gross regional product (GDP) of 1,379.758 billion yuan, an increase of 3.4% over the previous year. In 2020, all 3.089 million poor people in Xinjiang will be lifted out of poverty.
Xinjiang has 55 ethnic groups, mainly inhabited by Han, Uygur, Kazakh, Hui, Mongolian, Kirgiz, Xibe, Tajik, Uzbek, Manchu, Daur, Tatar, Russian and other ethnic groups. It is one of China's five ethnic minority autonomous regions. According to the results of the sixth national census, Xinjiang ranked fifth in the proportion of the population with higher education in 24 provinces and municipalities. Xinjiang will fully implement the 14-year free education policy in southern Xinjiang, promote 14-year free education in other regions, and gradually realize 15-year free education in the region, namely 3 years before school, 6 years in elementary school, 3 years in junior high school, and 3 years in high school.
Xinjiang is located in the hinterland of the Eurasian continent, with a land border of more than 5,600 kilometers. It borders Russia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Pakistan, Mongolia, India, and the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan. It is an important part of the ancient Silk Road in history. The channel is now the only place to pass through the second Asia-Europe Continental Bridge. In the historical development, cultures are blended and blood is connected, and together they have created a glorious civilization. The ancient economic and cultural exchange link between the East and the West-the world-famous Silk Road stretches for more than 5,000 kilometers in Xinjiang, leaving countless natural heritage and cultural relics along the way. There are countless mysteries along this historical site. And magic.

In Xinjiang, there are high mountains and sand sea deposits. The Altai Mountains in the north, the Tianshan Mountains in the middle, and the Kunlun Mountains in the south span east and west. The Tarim Basin and Junggar Basin dominate the north and south. Formed into a landform commonly known as three mountains and two basins, here is rich in natural resources, peculiar landscapes, long history and culture, and strong ethnic customs. It is an important tourist destination in China with extremely rich tourist resources.

Beautiful Xinjiang China Deep Deep into the Mountains (Uyghur Land)

I was here to shoot a TV commercial deep into the mountains of Xinjiang, China.. Xinjiang is located Northwest of China and borders Russia, Mongolia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Afghanistan, Pakistan and India and to the south is Tibet. We drove 3 hours into the mountains and parked by a local village. It was a great experience. The village people served us lamb and fried rice in the biggest pot i have ever seen. There were no toilets and the only power there was the generators that we brought. No cell phone reception up there either. We saw horses, goats, cows, etc. It was pure nature. I am not sure what the locals spoke there but obviously they dont speak English and they did not speak Chinese as well. Maybe they where Uyhur people I am not really sure. Maybe some of you can advise. Also what i thought was interesting was the fact that they bathed in the river and used mud as soap. I would not mind going off the grid for a month and just living here.

Xinjiang (Uyghur: شىنجاڭ‎‎, ULY: Shinjang; Mandarin pronunciation: [ɕíntɕjɑ́ŋ]; Chinese: 新疆; pinyin: Xīnjiāng), officially Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region,[5] is an autonomous region of China in the northwest of the country. It is the largest Chinese administrative division, the 8th largest country subdivision in the world, spanning over 1.6 million km2 and the most populous amongst the ten largest national subdivisions. It contains the disputed territory of Aksai Chin administered by China. Xinjiang contains China's smaller border with Russia (which is 40 km/24 mi long; the remainder of the China-Russia border is 3,605 km/2,240 mi long, and is taken up by the Inner Mongolia and Heilongjiang provinces), but its other international borders are with Mongolia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Afghanistan, Pakistan and India. It is also bordered, to the south, by Tibet, easily its longest border, when including the Eastern Tibetan disputed territories. It has abundant oil reserves and is China's largest natural gas-producing region.

It is home to a number of ethnic groups including the Uyghur, Han, Kazakhs, Tajiks, Hui, Kyrgyz, and Mongols.[6] More than a dozen autonomous prefectures and counties for minorities are in Xinjiang. Older English-language reference works often refer to the area as Chinese Turkestan.[7] Xinjiang is divided into the Dzungarian Basin in the north and the Tarim Basin in the south by a mountain range. Only about 4.3% of Xinjiang's land area is fit for human habitation.[8]

Xinjiang Province (Documentary Vlog) | The Long Road Ep. 46

I finally made it to CHINA!!! Or did I?
After Kyrgyzstan I visited the Xinjiang Province. While traveling here, a question constantly popped up in my head. Is this China? That's why decided to make this video a little bit different.
If you find any mistakes in my little research let me know.

The Dead Animal Timecodes
From 02:11 - 02:14
And 04:05 - 04:18 (This is followed by footage from the life stock market until 04:59)

After crossing the border I first visited Kashgar, from there I headed to Urumqi from where I left for Tuerpan. Unfortunately I had to go to Shanghai, so I couldn't see as much of Xinjiang as I wanted to. But I also wasn't well prepared tbh...

But if you want to travel there, check out

Ep.24-Charisma of Chinese Ethnic Minority -- BONTV

China has long been a unified multi-ethnic country. After the founding of the PRC in 1949, 56 ethnic groups have been identified by the government. The 55 groups are regarded as national minorities because of their relatively low population.
The ethnic minorities in China mainly reside in Inner Mongolia, Xinjiang, Ningxia, Guangxi, Tibet and some autonomous regions. Some places retain their unique style and architecture due to their remoteness and isolation. Their cultural heritage also remains intact and in Yunnan the Jiangchuan fossils and Lufeng's dinosaur fossils just go to show that their customs have all been well preserved.
A good time to visit the these groups is during the significant festivals as you will be able to experience these ceremonies with the locals. On January 12th in the Hui Calendar, the Corban Festival is held (回族的古爾邦節), which is a major festival in the Hui Group. Members of the group don't eat breakfast but instead slaughter cattle or sheep after worship in the Mosque. New Year's Day of Huangzhuang is the most significant festival for the Miao group. People dress up to greet people and go to temples to pray to the Gods for blessing. Each abbey will carry out Buddhist rituals while each family will light up the better lamp at night.

The Salar Ethnic Minority - Islam in China // This is Western China

Mengda Heavenly Lake, or Mengda Tianchi is in the Xunhua Salar Autonomous Region. This area has the largest number of Salar people in China. The Salar people are an ethnic minority. They are usually Muslim, and they first came over to China from the area that is now Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan, and Kyrgyzstan. I discuss the people as we hike around the Mengda Nature Reserve.

If you are in the Xunhua area, you can reach Mengda Tianchi by private car. We paid a driver (who approached us by the bus station) 100 RMB (around $15) to take us there, wait for 3 hours, and take us back to Xunhua. The day was a bit wet and foggy, but the 2 and a half hour hike (to the lake, around it, and back down) was pleasant and not too challenging.

Impression about Xinjiang people & Enjoying Xinjiang Traditional Dance | Xinjiang, China 新疆中国

We headed to the crowd in front of us when we were walking in the bazaar. Thought they have a concert, but nope, they’re enjoying the dance. Lol. It was pretty good tho, to know their songs which are different from Chinese songs (obviously), it sounds more to Central Asian songs. Energetic and fun!

Enjoy this short clips I got from the bazaar????
