Sai Baba of Shirdi, also known as Shirdi Sai Baba, was an Indian spiritual master who is regarded by his devotees as a saint, a fakir, a satguru and an incarnation (avatar) of Lord Shiva. He is revered by both his Hindu and Muslim devotees during, as well as after his lifetime.[2][3]
According to accounts from his life, he preached the importance of realization of the self, and criticized love towards perishable things. His teachings concentrate on a moral code of love, forgiveness, helping others, charity, contentment, inner peace, and devotion to the God and guru. He stressed the importance of surrender to the true Satguru, who, having trod the path to divine consciousness, will lead the disciple through the jungle of spiritual training.[4]
Sai Baba also condemned distinction based on religion or caste. It remains unclear if he was a Muslim or a Hindu. This, however, was of no consequence to Sai Baba.[5] His teaching combined elements of Hinduism and Islam: he gave the Hindu name Dwarakamayi to the mosque in which he lived,[6] practised both Hindu and Muslim rituals, taught using words and figures that drew from both traditions, and took samadhi in Shirdi. One of his well-known epigrams, Allah Malik (God is King) and Sabka Malik Ek (One God governs all), is associated with both Hinduism and Islam. He is also known to have said Look to me, and I shall look to you.[4]

I want to take this opportunity to talk to you about the Dance of Shiva, it is something which I can talk about for few months because it is so meaningful but so important for not only for human being but for all beings that is out there, every animate and in animate beings... ~ Dr. Pillai
The Dance is a symbol, the symbol of movement that is the Dance. The Dance is life and Life is movement and he is a still dancer a dance that carries stillness which is the opposite.
Main Points, Dr. Pillai
The Sun's Movement:
The Sun is going to start his Northward motion which is called the bright part of the world. The bright day set the bright six months which is the very important moment of the Sun bringing good things for the world.
Arudra Darshan: Seeing God
Pillai Center:
I personally celebrate this Dancing Shiva’s festival called — Arudra Darshan, meaning seeing God on the Nakshatra Star called: Arudra. Arudra is a Star dedicated to Shiva, it is a very important star.
Hydration Ritual: Bathing Shiva
I just don’t want to do a simple ritual of bathing Shiva that is for his happening in all temples, they hydrate Shiva’s statue with milk, yoghurt, fruit juice of different kinds and sandalwood powder etc. It is a very colorful scene, it is done at the dawn time. It symbolizing a new beginning for new six months when good things can happen.
Dance of Shiva:
The very practical above is dance represents the breathe going in and going out creating the movement of life. If you don’t dance there is no life. The dance has to be like a still dance where the breath goes into the pineal gland into the “Sushumna” creating the highest consciousness Chidambaram.

It is a place where Shiva descended from heaven and danced. Today there will be at least a million people there and the statue of Shiva, the dancing statue of Shiva will be moved to a different place to accommodate a large number of people and he will be dresses up and there will be the hydration ceremony today.
Important Abhishikam On Arudra Star Day
It is Important to do this ritual, the ritual is colorful and meaningful and here I am holding a particular root, this root will put me in connection with Arudhra star. This is the finding of the Siddhas.
With that you try to get into the consciousness and then try to understand the dance in proper perspective and then do this ritual. So you have to combine the colorful ritual that engages your eyes and the beauty of Shiva’s statue.
Basically this ritual can give us consciousness.
The Meaning Of Dance Of Shiva
Pillai Center:
It is story of the beginning, Shiva danced and then created the world. And as he danced, he created 51 letters, these 51 letters created consciousness, created objects. The remembrance of this day the celebration of this day also means understanding sounds..
Nadha - Sound Of Creation
Nadha means the sound that creates the world. Without sound there is nothing. Sound is the primordial vibration. Nadha and that vibration creates Light. First sound, then the Light.
Day Of Shiva: Sound & Light
It is the day of understanding the sound and the light. so first you have to understand the breath principle which creates activity and the breath principles is understood through three channels, the two channels are represented by two nostrils which are represented by two feet of Shiva and then the third channel is the Shushumna, which is the third eye.
The Last Supper Ritual
Pillai Center:
Like any ritual, Jesus performing the last supper as a symbolic representation of Jesus getting into the body of everybody and the true meaning of flesh and blood. .. If you are simple and you care about the breath or the 51 letters or the northward movement of the Sun, these are all for the Yogi’s, so I just want to enjoy, will it benefit me? Yes.
