Driving at Kennon Road -The Fastest But Riskiest Road to Baguio | NOW OPEN to Tourists | Philippines

Kennon Road is now passable to tourists!

Since March 2020, passing to Kennon Road has been exclusively used for residents only. Tourists wishing to go to Baguio City must use Marcos Hwy. But last April 2022, the local government has been slowly allowing tourists to use Kennon Road (with specific schedule, see below).

Kennon Road is faster and shorter than Marcos Highway (Aspiras–Palispis). But this road is more prone to landslides, falling debris, and fallen trees. It's also frequent to road closures especially after a strong typhoon!

KENNON ROAD SCHEDULE:

-Every 5:00 AM Sunday until 5:00 AM Monday, Kennon Road is open to outbound traffic from Baguio City or motorists going down Baguio City (Manila Bound).

-Every 5:01 AM Monday until 4:59 AM Sunday, Kennon Road is open to inbound traffic to Baguio City or motorists going up to Baguio City (Baguio Bound).

*This video was taken a few days after a strong typhoon and continuous rain in the northern part of Luzon.

*No checkpoints and no more requirements such as QTP, visita, etc.

Hailed as the Summer Capital of the Philippines, Baguio is the top destination to go to if you want to take a break from the tropical heat and chaotic scenes of Metro Manila.

Trying the LUXURY Bus from PITX to Baguio | Solid North Bus Company | Full Ride Tour | Philippines

Hi everyone! After my JoyBus experience, I was curious how the SOLID NORTH Luxury Bus line compares!

But instead of starting the trip from Cubao, this bus starts theirs at the Parañaque Integrated Terminal Exchange, located in the AsiaWorld complex, just a few meters away from Okada Manila!

In this video, you'll see the advantages of having an integrated and modern terminal, such as the 24/7 convenience stores, restaurants, and, more importantly, 24/7 SAFE and SECURED parking spaces for private vehicles!

In fact, I left my car here for 3 days, and everything was safe while having a reasonable parking fee.

The bus was comfortable, and the overall experience was pleasant, too!

Watch the full video to know how my experience went from terminal to terminal, 270 kilometers away!

WHERE SHOULD YOU LIVE IN THE PHILIPPINES? CITIES, TOWNS OR PROVINCE? RISK & REWARDS

Where should you live as a foreigner in the Philippines? Just like you and I have different goals, budgets, and needs, the various cities, towns, and provinces offer different possibilities and challenges. Metro Manila, Angeles City, Clark City, Subic Bay, and Baguio or city options in Luzon island. Cebu City, Mandaue City, and Lapu Lapu are the main cities on Cebu island. Davao City is a large city in Mindanao. Iloilo City and Bacolod city are gaining more recognition also with Dumaguete a big attraction for many foreigners.
One should consider the risks and rewards that a particular location will offer also. Flood prone areas, typhoon prone areas, earthquake zones, and volcanoes are some of the risks as well as landslides in some of the hilly or mountainous regions.

Best Places To Visit in Philippines 2024

PHILIPPINES TRAVEL GUIDE: We made a list of the top 10 best islands to visit in the Philippines. If you plan to visit the Philippines then this travel guide will be useful for your planning. I went around to many islands in the Philippines over the span of my three trips to the country. I have put together a list of the top places in the Philippines for you to visit and even research. Philippines tourism appears to be back to normal and these tourist spots are thriving again. I really enjoyed Palawan and many would say that is the best place in the Philippines, with El Nido and Coron being the top places there. I also felt Siargao was a special place to visit for its diversity in activities to do. Boracay seemed to be the most popular tourist destination in Philippines. This Philippines travel video took about 1.5 months to put together. Hope you all enjoy this Philippines vlog.

No talk, just drive.

This was taken on May 15, Saturday. The only checkpoint was at the Subic toll booth and they weren't strict at that time and no requirements/documents was asked.

Baguio’s Steepest Roads (Part 1)

These are just some of Baguio City’s steepest roads. They may look easy to drive based on the video but you have to be there to experience it.

New Year 2021 in BAGUIO CITY, Benguet, Philippines! (PART 1)

In this part 1 of our Baguio City vacation, we visited the Mines View Park, Wright Park, and The Mansion House. I will share the other places we visited in the next videos.

Baguio City in Benguet Province, Philippines has recently reopened its doors to tourists from Luzon Island. Since the lockdown, we have been itching to go for a vacation but decided not to go anywhere for safety purposes. But come the new year, we decided to go for a road trip to Baguio and stay there for 7 days (January 4 to 10, 2021) for a week of working from hotel and touring.

Health and safety protocols in the city were strict. We had to book our hotel and register online to the city’s tourism website in advance and had to take an antigen test in the city’s Triage upon arrival (presentation of a negative test result taken 72 hours prior is allowed). Social distancing and wearing of masks/face shields were also enforced in Baguio.

Even though this is our nth time visiting the city, we still enjoyed the views – especially now that the tourist spots only had few visitors during that time. Overall, we felt safe during our trip as it was less crowded in Baguio than in Manila. Can’t wait to visit again!
