An Bord von MSC Seaside erkunden wir zum Jahreswechsel 2022-23 die Antillen in der Karibik! Dabei besuchen wir die Trauminseln Saint Lucia, Barbados, Grenada, Saint Vincent, Martinique, Guadeloupe, Saint Kitts, Sint Maarten, Antigua und Dominica. In dieser Folge nehmen wir euch auf unseren MSC-Landausflug zu den Naturschönheiten Dominicas mit. Von Roseau aus geht es durch den wunderschönen Regenwald zu einem lauschigen Wasserfall, in dem wir ein kühles Bad genießen. Im Anschluss besuchen wir ein karibisches Indianerdorf im Regenwald, wo es neben einem landestypischen Essen aus ökologisch angebauten Zutaten auch etwas indianische Kultur zu erleben gibt. Der nächste Stopp auf unserer Inseltour ist dann ein wundervoller Aussichtspunkt im Norden Dominicas, von dem aus es dann zurück nach Roseau geht. Dort besuchen wir den Botanischen Garten mit seiner Papageienzucht und dem berühmten gelben Schulbus, bevor unser Ausflug mit einem traumhaften Panoramablick vom Mourne Bruce über die Stadt endet. Bevor wir uns für diese Reise von euch verabschieden genießen wir mit euch noch das Auslaufen aus Roseau und gönnen uns ein letztes Abendessen im Bedienrestaurant an Bord. Wir wünschen euch viel Spaß beim Anschauen!

Join my sister, Allison Corriette, on her first trip to Dominica, the Nature Isle of the Caribbean, in the summer of 2006! Dominica is where my father's family hails from.

This time I fly into Dominica: the Nature Isle. I see the capital, Roseau, and then take a drive to the north, seeing some of the destruction caused by Hurricane Erica, a year on.
