Chankanaab Cozumel Snorkeling
Chankanaab is the National Marine Park located in Cozumel. It has numerous things to do there but one of the main things to do here is snorkel. It's a pretty big area to snorkel in and you never know what you might see. They also have several statues there as well and some floating pads out in the water.

Snuba Diving at Chankanaab Cozumel
We like to scuba so decided to try Snuba at Chankanaab (we've tried it once before and loved it). Chankanaab Park in Cozumel has a variety of things to do there and this is one of them.
However, there really wasn't much to see as far as a reef. We did manage to swim beside the dolphin pens, which was interesting but that was about it. It also didn't last very long before we turned around and headed back (unlike our previous experience).
If you just want to give it a try to see what it's like to swim under water without being a certified diver, this might be for you. Otherwise, if you've done it at other places, I'd say save your money for another place when it comes to Snuba here.

Chankanaab Adventure Park - Cozumel, Mexico
John and I have been here about 15 times. It's our favorite go-to place when we cruise to Cozumel. You can get a $4 taxi ride and get in for just $19 (with a $2 online coupon). There are lounge chairs and umbrellas for free and you can snorkel or do some great-priced SCUBA diving. Great fish to see here! There's also a free sealion show. You can swim with the dolphins at a great price, but the pictures will cost you a bit much. You can go kayaking, zip-lining, and get massages -- for a fee. There's a beautiful pool with a swim-up bar, too. We just love it here. Pure paradise! (And no, we're not paid for our endorsement!)
Snorkeling on Cozumel (Chankanaab Beach)
Cozumel has many great attractions, but the real magic is found under the sea. We have tried to take advantage of our time living on the island, exploring as many of the underwater attractions available to us. Most of the best places to explore are located along the shore. In February of 2020, we finally got to explore the waterfront at Chankanaab Beach.
Chankanaab Beach Club is one of the most popular tourist destinations on the island, located inside the National Marine Park of Cozumel. As you can tell, it has some pretty special sights for those willing to jump in the water. We will certainly go back again.

Good morning from beautiful Cozumel, Mexico! We are docked this morning with Thompson Cruise Line, which is primarily a European cruise line.
Today we are doing the Chankanaab Beach excursion which is an all inclusive beach resort that we booked through Shore Excursioneer. We have a great breakfast at the buffet and then head off the ship!
We are docked at the port of Punta Langosta today which is different from Porta Maya where we normally dock! We start off by having taxi troubles on the way to Chankanaab which creates a rough start to our tour.
The grounds of Chankanaab are absolutely gorgeous, and we really enjoying walking around taking it all in! Unfortunately things get worse shortly after entering the park and put a sour taste in our mouth about the whole experience. We try our best to keep a positive outlook on everything and attend the Sea Lion show which was cute.

COZUMEL VLOG! We took the FERRY across the ocean from Playa Del Carmen to Cozumel which, is only a 45-60 minute boat ride. After docking in Cozumel, we rented a Volkswagen Beetle for $80 including full-cover insurance to drive to Chankanaab Adventure Park and across the entire COZUMEL ISLAND.

Cozumel is an amazing island off of the coast of Playa Del Carmen. The island of Cozumel is so small that you’re able to take an entire drive around the island in under 2 hours. What are the best Cruise Ports to snorkel at? This is my 5th time visiting the beautiful island of Cozumel but only my second snorkeling adventure. This time I explored a new area, a marine park named Chankanaab.
In about a 10-minute taxi ride that costs $17 dollars for 5 people you can be there, to experience what I experienced. It costs $20 a person to enter, and less for kids under 12. That included full access to the park, the botanical gardens, pools, snorkeling, beach chairs, and umbrellas.
The botanical gardens were very beautiful and we loved the lagoon pool which is such a natural beauty.
The snorkeling was amazing, with very clear water, even for a rainy rough day, and lots of coral. When you walk down the steps you are immediately surrounded by fish. There are many heads of coral to explore and some man-made statues. I saw so many fish including 2 large barracudas, lionfish and some other big fish in the caves under the reefs edge. I also found a head of coral filled with lobster, FUN, FUN.
In my opinion, everyone who loves to snorkel, beginners and advanced, can enjoy the gem, Chankanaab, next to the Cozumel Cruise Port
