hey guys, this is Samantha and welcome to the mytanfeet youtube channel. today we are going to visit the rainforest adventures park, braulio carillo here on the caribbean side of costa rica. We are going to do their full day activity which includes an aerial tram and ziplining and other nature activities. We're super excited so let's go.
The Rainforest Adventures Atlantic Park is a private nature reserve and adventure park right on the edge of the Braulio Carillo National Park which is one of the biggest national parks in Costa Rica that protects 50,000 hectares of rainforest covered mountains all the way down to river canyons and streams. This nature park offers activities such as ziplining, an aerial tram, nature trails and a butterfly garden.
The first activity we did during our visit was their ziplining tour so as soon as we parked our car, they took us in their shuttle down to the main operation center to get geared up for the ziplining. Alright we are about to start the canopy.
Their ziplining tour has 10 cables and 14 platforms, each allowing visitors a breathtaking 360 degree view of the lush rainforest all around. You'll fly above the tree tops, over rivers and through the rainforest on both short and long cables. You'll feel the adrenaline flowing through your veins, especially when you reach the last heart pumping cable, which is the longest and fastest. Their ziplining tour doesn't require visitors to manually brake, which is really nice as you don't have to worry about it while you're taking in all the fantastic views of Braulio Carillo national Park and the rainforest reserve. You do have to walk a little bit in between cables and the entire ziplining tour takes about an hour and a half.
If you have never ziplined before, the Rainforest Adventures Atlantic zipline is great for adventure lovers looking for an exciting first time zipline tour.
Wow that last line was incredible, i felt like i was flying so far, right Cris? Yeah, so fun but we did it.
Alright so we're about to go to the highlight of the park which is the aerial tram.
The Rainforest Adventures aerial tram offers visitors a quiet and peaceful right through the heart of the rainforest.
It's so quiet we're in the middle of the rainforest and all you can hear are birds and cicadas. Each tram can hold up to 6 people and takes 40 minutes per way so visitor can really soak in all the sights and sounds of the jungle. The park also offers options of a private guide for the tram which must be requested the day before your scheduled visit.
Aftewards, we strolled through their nature trails to see more flora and fauna up close. This area protects mostly primary rainforest, home to hundreds and thousands of plants and animals. The park also has an orchid garden for visitors to see a wide variety of different species of orchids and they also have a butterfly garden, to see and learn about beautiful butterflies in different stages of life.
We had a fantastic time here at Rainforest Adventures Atlantic Park, I can't believe it's only about an hour from San Jose so it's a great day trip from the city or a stop if you're going to the Caribbean side. Today we’re going to do the combination tour of the hanging bridges and the La Fortuna waterfall in Arenal. We’re going to go with Jacamar Naturalist Tours, and this is a combination and it also includes lunch so we should have a really nice walk down to the waterfall and the hanging bridges, should be a really fun day.
We’re here at the Mistico Hanging Bridges and here actually by Lake Arenal. Behind me well arenal Volcano is a little covered in clouds but we’re going to go on a couple hour hike going through I think 13 bridges through the rainforest so hopefully we’ll see lots of cool wildlife and get some nice views.
We’ve been walking for about 1 hour and we finally reached the first hanging bridge and this is one of the longest in the Mistico Hanging Bridges walk. We’ve seen lots of cool trees, lots of plants, some monkeys so hopefully we’ll see some more wildlife, it’s been a very nice walk so far.
We’re walking on one of the hanging bridges and our guide just found a viper which is a common snake found in the Arenal area so let’s go check it out.
We’re visiting the La Fortuna waterfall, this is a beautiful waterfall in the La Fortuna area. It’s only about a 15 minute drive from town, it’s very popular it’s one of the most popular activities and we’ll show you guys why in just a second.

Arenal Volcano Tour in Costa Rica

RAINFOREST Tour Costa Rica in the TORTUGUERO National Park (HIKE and CANOE Adventure)
We did a tour, actually two tours, with the one and only Ernesto Tours from Tortugero National Park for a rainy hike in the nature and after a short break with delicious food, conquered the deep amazon like creeks of Costa Rica by canoe. There was soooo much wildlife to see there, it was just amazing! An almost ASMR VLOG.
