We're Eamon and Bec and after years of living in a van to travel the world the pandemic brought us home to Canada. Since then we've bought a rundown cabin in the woods and focused our time on the renovations and DIY projects to make this cabin our home. But after several months of hard work indoors and a long, grueling Canadian winter we thought it was about time to step outside our comfort zone and embrace a new adventure in our own backyard!

Originally from Nashville, Tennessee, we got married 2013 and were super “normal.” I was a teacher and Nate started a small printing business from the spare bedroom of our apartment.
We discovered the world of “travel hacking” while planning our honeymoon & became addicted ;)
So after 2 years of obsessively saving $35k and over 2 million miles and points, we sold our cars and apartment and left home January 10, 2016 for a “one year” trip around the world.
Our goal was to see as many places as possible before we ran out of money and went back home to “normal life.” We started this channel to share our experiences with friends and family, but quickly fell in love with living on the road and found a new passion for capturing our travels through video. So we did everything we could to keep going.
4 years later, we achieved our new goal of visiting 100 countries and all 7 continents. We had no plans to slow down, until 2020 forced us to ;) Which is when we bought a converted van to start exploring our own country for the first time!
After ~2 years of van life, we are back to full time international traveling! And now we are in our 9TH YEAR of finding the best adventures the world has to offer :)
We are incredibly grateful to be able to continue doing something we love every day. ???????????? Thank you to everyone who has been a part of our journey!

We're Eamon and Bec, a Canadian couple who previously lived and traveled full-time in our self converted Sprinter Van!! When the pandemic hit in 2020 we made the difficult decision to abandon our van in Africa and fly home to Canada. Now we're here... living at a cabin in the Canadian wilderness! Things are coming to a close after nearly 1 year of cabin renovations. As we prepare to head back to Morocco to rescue our van, we are making the most of our time left with family and friends including hosting a bachelorette party for my (Bec) sister ????. Sooo, with 12 ladies headed to the cabin we need to kick Eamon out of the house and challenge him to 24 hours alone in the wilderness.

Winter Survival Shelter, Stay Warm Overnight With No Fire
How to build a simple emergency winter survival shelter for use in a solo overnight stay in the field. If you end up getting caught out in bad weather while out in the field and have limited resources this style shelter can be made with no tools, and little skill. Just build it small and use as much material as you have energy to gather, the more you get the warmer you will be.
The Arid Scablands can be a tricky place to be when the weather gets bad. Cold winds, low temperatures and steep cliffs and ledges can become hard to navigate at night. In other areas that have an abundance of resources building a shelter can be pretty simple, and there are many videos of building bamboo huts, stick lean-to's shelters, fern and bark huts. We have to be a little creative out here having almost none of those building materials, even firewood is scarce.

2 DAYS in the Snow cave / Giant Winter Bushcraft Shelter ASMR
We don't have much snow this year, but because of the winds, it usually accumulates at the bottom of the cliff. With the help of a stick, I managed to find this place and determine the depth. Unfortunately, this time not everything turned out as smoothly as I expected, for example, raw firewood and burnt meat, but all this is nothing! It turned out to be a great snow cave for survival!

I literally spent 24 hours in the snow! Even slept on snow, inside an Igloo!
In Sethan, I've majorly heard of two attractions in recent times. Geodesic domes (which are blowing up on social media) and Igloo stays. I was intrigued by the Igloo to stay personally, for which I wanted to choose amongst the best for our 24 hours in snow challenge! So here's presenting my time spent at Igloo Stay Manali, with my teammates, friends, and instructors. We honestly had a ball! I hope this video puts a smile on your face! :D
