CONVERSATIONS IN RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL
This is a trip I filmed two years in the beautiful Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. I wanted to explore the beaches, the hiking, the food but also understand the culture and the coexistence of the favelas and the more developed areas we know as tourists, like Ipanema and Copacabana. I tried to get this understanding by speaking with two local Brazilians who live and work in Rio. I rented a room in Santa Teresa from a local Brazilian/American woman, Theresa, who is head of a great NGO call Catalytic Communities I then rented an apartment from Fabio, whose work you can find here

In this video I explain, everthing important about Rio de Janeiro, in Brazil! If you're traveling for tourism this video is for you!
About location: in Rio de Janeiro the best location to stay near the beach is is the south zone: Copacanaba, Leblon, Ipanema. Another nice place to stay in Rio is Botafogo, because the bars and nightlife.
In july, it's winter, but don't worry, the temperature isn't so low like in other cities in brazil. It's possible to go to the beach in Rio de Janeiro.
Getting around: Uber and metro are the best alternatives. An average meal in Brazil is 20 reais, and the voltage is 110 Volts.

Speaking my mind in Brazil | Rio de Janeiro - Brazil (Jan 2022)
Since coming to Brazil over a year ago, I expected this insane situation that we all find ourselves in to end sooner rather than later. I just see it getting weirder and more tyrannical from what I can see.
I am a freedom advocate and will hold the line on my choice and my beliefs.
I do not regret coming to Brazil as I feel Brazil is strangely way more free than my home country of Canada at the moment. I hope you all can respect my position on the issue and if not, then too bad.
