Fish n Crab Charters Deep Sea Fishing Sunshine Coast Queensland

Fish'n'Crab charters are based in Mooloolaba on the Sunshine Coast and they depart each day from the Mooloolaba Marina.

Fish in comfort on their 55ft true fishing vessel that allows enough room for everyone even when at maximum capacity.

This unique deep sea fishing charter also includes crabbing so you could go home with a bag full of fish and crabs. Now that is a top fishing Charter!

There is a great range of fish to be caught in the waters off the Sunshine Coast, like snapper, perch, sweetlip, mackerel, blue fin tuna, Maori cod. The warm currents also attract many big game deep water fish species including marlin, tuna, dolphin fish (mahi-mahi), swordfish, wahoo, and mackerel.

As we motored back to shore, we stopped to check our crabs and to everyones delight there were enough good sized ones to share around and take home for each person. The perfect end to top off a brilliant day.

SUNSHINE COAST SECRET BEACHES I Sunshine Coast, Queensland, Australia, Travel Vlog 099, 2021

In this video, we visit the Sunshine Coast to show you some of the best local beaches you’ve never heard of.....

MARCUS BEACH
Visitors driving on the scenic ocean drive of David Low Way may not realise they can pull over and walk down to the sand. The Marcus Beach entry can be easily missed, but if you take the time, you'll discover one of the most beautiful and empty beaches on the Sunshine Coast.....it stretches for kilometres to the north towards Castaways, Sunrise and Sunshine Beaches. Former Prime Minister Kevin Rudd once called the sand dunes of Marcus Beach home. This stretch of beach is an off-leash dog area four kilometres-long where people can exercise their dogs.

YAROOMBA
This has a beach entry tucked away in a residential cul de sac and used mainly by locals. Whilst many have heard of nearby Coolum Resort, the pristine beach at Yaroomba is less common. With picturesque pandanus and vast golden sand, this beach is popular with surfers and those who enjoy walking over the headland on tracks and boardwalks heading north towards Coolum. It's also a dog-friendly beach!

MUDJIMBA
This sleepy suburb is close to some of the coast’s largest resorts, and yet Mudjimba Beach goes unseen by many tourists. This beach is also popular with surfers and has a great view to Mudjimba Island (known as 'Old Woman Island' by the locals). This off-leash beach is arguably the Sunshine Coast’s wildest paradise for dogs.

BALLINGER
At the end of a residential cul de sac and tucked between two schools is one of the most popular surf and dog beaches in Caloundra...but most visitors have never heard of it! Dogs can run happily and freely off-leash and swim in a creek that trickles into the sea. Beach strollers can walk 1km north along the sand to Currimundi Lake for swimming, fishing, paddling and picnics. Just a short amble south is the popular and patrolled Dicky Beach.

Hi, we're Beth & Paul from Brisbane, Australia and we love to travel!

Paul retired on 28th February 2020 and on the 1st March 2020, we set out on a 6-month adventure around South East Asia. This was a well-planned once-in-a-lifetime travel experience! It was our intention to show you how you can have a great time travelling without spending a fortune.

Our timing wasn't great - with the outbreak of the Covid-19 virus and subsequent global turmoil less than a month into our trip.

Until it is safe to travel internationally again, we turn our focus on travelling around Queensland and sharing everything our beautiful State has to offer!

Our videos are posted weekly ???? (we aim for Thursdays).

The Pumicestone Passage in Caloundra is a brilliant place to catch whiting, bream, jewfish, flathead, mangrove jacks and more. The Fishing Australia team show us how. #visitsunshinecoast

The Queensland Beach we didn't swim at

Find out why this was the Queensland beach we didn't swim at.

In this video Di and I were on a location shoot in the Daintree national park which is located in north Queensland, Australia.

We had made our way up to Cape Tribulation and were scouting locations to shoot with our guide.

Because of the climate the waterways and beaches here provide the perfect environment and home for the Saltie (Salt water crocodile)

Here's some behind the scenes footage from that shoot.

Catch & Cook in Rainbow Beach - Queensland Paradise

Hidden in the qiet town of Rainbow beach are some of the most beautiful cliffs you will see on the south east coast of Australia. Rainbow beach is known for its stunning cliffs, great fishing, long bush walks, relaxing white sandy beaches and the magnificent Carlos Sand Blow. During this adventure, Chris and I go on board the Keely Rose for an offshore fishing charter to catch snapper, red emperor and pearl perch.

GOLDEN BEACH & MALENY SHOW I Sunshine Coast, Queensland, Travel Vlog 127, 2022

Join us for a walk along the beach in the coastal suburb of Golden Beach in Caloundra on the Sunshine Coast. Golden Beach is situated on the shores of the Pumicestone Passage and is perfect for boating, fishing and swimming because the water is so calm. It’s 93 km north of Brisbane and takes around 75 minutes to drive there via the Bruce Highway. It’s also only a 20-minute walk from Bulcock Beach in the centre of Caloundra.

We also popped into the Maleny Show last weekend …and we loved it! It’s a small, authentic regional show celebrating everything we love about living in the Sunshine Coast Hinterland.

To finish off a great week, we popped into our local pub at Maleny for Hump Day Rump Day on a cold winter night…….

Sunshine Coast beach cafe, One on La Balsa, Queensland

meets Australian Surf Lifesaving champion, Jeff Lemarseny, at cafe One on La Balsa in the Sunshine Coast, Queensland, Australia.

Transcript:
The Sunshine Coast is full of fantastic beaches.
You've probably heard of Noosa Beach or Mooloolaba Beach but my favourite beach is Kawana Beach. Kawana Beach is also the stomping ground of Australian Surf lifesaving champion Jeff Lemarseny.
If you come here of a morning and look at the ocean, you'll probably see Jeff training hard for his next event.
I'm about to go and meet Jeff at the cafe he owns with his wife, Dani. It's called One on La Balsa.
Hi Christina, how are you doing? Good to see you. Come and have coffee with us.
So you liked it so much you built a cafe here?
That's correct. My background is a building background. The council at the time had a pretty good plan set up to develop commercial pockets in the area. More commmercial pockets. It's a cafe with four apartments.
We have a huge local following from the surrounding area. From day one it really kicked.Myself and my wife, Dani, and our manager Nicki, run it with a staff of approximately 18 all locally employed people.
The food is traditional breakfast meals, bacon and eggs and there's also specials like corn cakes. Lunches are an array of chicken, steak, seafood and we have three specials every day. And a huge selection of cakes and the best coffee on the coast.
That's funny though. Our cakes are pretty healthy. A lot are gluten free and a fair few are sugar free. A lot love goes into our product.
In this business we have play and work combines together. Saturday and Sunday is a fantastic time as we are mixing with a lot of local people through the cafe have become our friends.
That's why we try and keep it to the basics. Good healthy food.
How about your top tips on what to do on the Sunshine Coast? Five things that you really like.
The Sunshine Coast has 50 things I like. My love of the ocean always means I'm out on the ocean. Even taking trips to Noosa is a favourite. There's the markets at Noosa. Even going to Montville or Maleny.
If a friend of yours was coming up from Sydney, where would you take them?
If a friend of mine was coming up from Sydney you'd have to go up to Noosa, I'd go to the beach, up the river, if you have a boat go fishing, walk the point, Point Cartwright. The coast is one of those places you don't need to plan. You can just come here and chill out.
Hi, I'm Dani. I look forward to seeing you at One on La Balsa soon.
