A Tourist's Guide to Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan 2019
From Almaty, we drive across the border into neighbouring Kyrgyzstan where, for most passports, no visa is necessary.
Once in Bishkek, we check into the Golden Tulip Hotel and then walk down the street to Bishkek Park Shopping Mall. Then, after exchanging some Som, we head off to see the sights:
-Manas Square
-Freedom Monument
-Ala-Too Square
-Statue of Lenin
-Changing of the guard.
-Sampling the local drink - Shoro
-Victory Square
-Osh Bazaar
-Russian Church

Bishkek is one of the biggest tourist attractions in Kyrgyzstan having many best places in Bishkek. Bishkek, the capital of Kyrgyzstan, borders Central Asia's Tian Shan range. It’s a gateway to the Kyrgyz Ala-Too mountains and Ala Archa National Park, with glaciers and wildlife trails. The city’s arts scene encompasses the monumental State Museum of Fine Arts and the colonnaded Opera and Ballet Theater. Shocking First Impressions of Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan as an American Tourist ????????
In today’s Kyrgyzstan Travel Vlog, I take you with me as I explore Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan for the first time. I'll be sharing a Bishkek Kyrgyzstan City Tour and my first impression’s of Kyrgyzstan’s bustling capital city as an American Tourist. Kyrgyzstan is a landlocked country located in Central Asia that is most known by tourists for its beautiful mountains, lakes, and raw landscapes. However, despite all of the natural beauty in Kyrgyzstan, the capital city of Bishkek also has a lot to offer, which is why I wanted to share my Bishkek Kyrgyzstan Travel Guide.
To start off my Bishkek Kyrgyzstan City Tour, I head to the main square in Bishkek called Ala Too Square. Ala Too Square is a giant square in the middle of the city with a famous statue of the Kyrgyz hero, Manas. Ala Too Square is also surrounded by tons of beautiful parks, Soviet style architecture, and tons of cafes and restaurants. After walking around Ala Too Square, I head to the White House in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan. In Bishkek, the White House is not where the President lives, but rather, where the President’s deputies work. The White House in Bishkek is a massive, white Soviet style building surrounded by tons of greenery and colorful flowers.
Next up in my Bishkek Kyrgyzstan Travel Vlog and Bishkek Video, I walk just a few minutes away to Panfilov Park. Panfilov Park is an amusement park surrounded by a big green area with tons of beautiful trees. Panfilov Park has tons of rollercoasters and other attractions for both children and adults. It’s a great place to spend a few hours in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan. After roaming around Panfilov Park, I walked to Oak Park, another beautiful park in the middle of Bishkek. Walking around Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan, I was shocked at how many beautiful and tranquil parks there are in the middle of such a big city.
The next stop on my Bishkek Kyrgyzstan City Tour was Victory Park to see the famous Victory Monument. The Victory Monument in Bishkek was built to commemorate the end of World War II. It is a grand structure with three pillars, resembling a yurt. A yurt is a common form of housing for nomadic people in Kyrgyzstan and other countries within the region. Victory Park is also home to a beautiful green area with tons of flowers. Just a few minutes away from Victory Park is one of the main streets in the city of Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan so the next stop on my Bishkek City Tour was to check out one of the many malls in the city. The mall was extremely modern with a food court on the top floor, where I tried a local dish called a Samsa. A samsa is a flaky pastry that often has meat inside. It’s a delicious local Kyrgyz food! After roaming around the mall, I ended my Bishkek Kyrgyzstan City Tour walking along one of the main pedestrian walkways in the city, Erkindik Bouleveard.
I had such a fun time exploring Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan and I was shocked at how many beautiful parks are in this bustling city of 1 million people. I hope you enjoyed following along my Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan City Tour!

ROADS OF KYRGYZSTAN | Cinematic Travel Video (4K)
We went on a 30 day roadtrip in Kyrgyzstan, a country with countless mountains and extremely varied landscapes. What better way to explore the country than in a 4x4 oldschool van? And of course I had to bring along my drone on the trip.
30 days was not nearly enough to cover all of Kyrgyz beautiful roads, but we ended up driving the following route:
Took off in Bishkek, the capital. We drove to the southern side of lake Issyk Kul, to Karakol. From there we visited Engilcheck, a remote abandoned city, after which we drove through the Arabel pass (wow!) toward Naryn. We visited the bright blue Köl-Suu lake and the Son-Köl lake. Next up were Dzjalal-Abad, Arslanbob and lake Sary-Chelek. Finally, we camped at Toktogul reservoir from where we made our way back to Bishkek.

We fly into Almaty on a sunny and warm day in June. After checking into the World Hotel Saltanat, we head out to see the sights. Along the way, I sample some Kumis, fermented mare's milk, buy some cheap Kazakh champagne and walk for miles.

Bishkek:
Bishkek, is the capital and largest city of Kyrgyzstan (Kyrgyz Republic). Bishkek is also the administrative centre of the Chuy Region. The province surrounds the city, although the city itself is not part of the province, but rather a province-level unit of Kyrgyzstan.
In 1991 the Kyrgyz parliament changed the capital's name to Bishkek.Bishkek is situated at an altitude of about 800 meters (2,600 ft), just off the northern fringe of the Kyrgyz Ala-Too range, an extension of the Tian Shan mountain range. These mountains rise to a height of 4,855 meters (15,928 ft) and provide a backdrop to the city. North of the city, a fertile and gently undulating steppe extends far north into neighboring Kazakhstan. The Chui River drains most of the area. Bishkek is connected to the Turkestan-Siberia Railway by a spur line.
Bishkek is a city of wide boulevards and marble-faced public buildings combined with numerous Soviet-style apartment blocks surrounding interior courtyards. There are also thousands of smaller privately built houses, mostly outside the city centre. Streets follow a grid pattern, with most flanked on both sides by narrow irrigation channels, watering innumerable trees to provide shade in the hot summers.

An equestrian statue of Mikhail Frunze stands in a large park (Boulevard Erkindik) across from the train station.
The train station was built in 1946 by German prisoners of war and has survived since then without further renovation or repairs; most of those who built it perished and were buried in unmarked pits near the station.
The main government building, the White House, is a huge, seven story marble block and the former headquarters of the Communist Party of the Kirghiz SSR
At Ala-Too Square there is an independence monument where the changing of the guards may be watched.Osh bazaar, west of the city centre, is a large, picturesque produce market.

Travel destinations 2019-Lets travel to Kyrgyzstan(Silk road)..Vlog 1- Cinematic shots
Back in August 2019, I had a strange question in my head of where do I need to travel to, from dubai, for my leave. Basic things for my decision where,
1. Visa on arrival or visa with much easier process.
2. Something near to dubai
3. A place full of landscapes and lush green.
Out of all places, Kyrgyzstan stood out, firstly, because it fulfilled all the criteria, second, it was a place less heard off, which excited me more. I got some weird expressions from my friends when I told I am going to this place, which excited me more. The more I read about the place, the more I started falling in love with this place. There is lot more to talk about this place, which I would eventually do in my next videos.
For now, all I have to say is kyrgyzstan is a place you wouldn't want to miss going. It is in central Asia, also known as the silk route(Trade between India and china used to happen through this route), completely surrounded with green lush mountains and amazing lakes. The people there are so lovely, that I have just fallen in love with this place.
