???????? SPECTACULAR San Luis POTOSÍ | The Most ICONIC CITY in Mexico? | TRAVEL MEXICO 2022

???????? SAN LUIS POTOSÍ, Mexico - For part 19 of my 2022 Mexico Travel series we’re back in the legendary San Luis Potosí, a city and state I have now visited 4 times. You can check out the playlist of videos below!

FULL SAN LUIS PLAYLIST -

This video is very much a REMAKE, incorporating points from previous videos (particularly for newer viewers, there about 20000 new viewers since I first filmed in SLP). San Luis is the home to Costanzo Chocolates, Enchiladas Potosinas and Huastecas (awesome comida Mexicana - Mexican food!) and the gateway to other spectacular destinations in the state such as Huasteca Potosina, Xilitla, the Edward James Garden, Real de Catorce, and Cerro de San Pedro, all of which I have visited in the past! There are plenty of things to do and places to visit in SLP!

San Luis is absolutely a growing Mexico tourism destination in Mexico. It’s even becoming more popular with expats or those wishing to move to Mexico. In this video we check out a number of the awesome churches and cathedrals, eat Princesas (Costanzos), visit Parque Alameda and more!

Many ask whether Mexico is safe or dangerous and as a result, stick to Guanajuato or San Miguel de Allende. The fact is, SLP is just as beautiful and is absolutely a viable destination! Potosinos and Potosinas are probably some of the proudest people in Mexico and will always welcome you with open arms!

*Cómo llegar a San Luis Potosí

San Luis Potosí: Our First Impressions of the City! (Mexico Travel Vlog)

San Luis Potosí is yet another underrated, often overlooked gem in Mexico!
We spent most of our time there working from our Airbnb, taking city walks, and just moving at a slower pace. When we did explore though, we quickly realized how much we liked the city and found it very charming and livable. Some of the highlights of the city for us were:
*It is EXTREMELY walkable and bike friendly. Large sidewalks, more pedestrian only streets than we've seen in any other city in Mexico so far, and numerous large plazas are all great features of the city's historic center and surrounding area.
*It's not overran with tourism and everyone we met was very kind and friendly to us.
*It's got a very good location within the country of Mexico. It's close enough to many of the main population points in the country like Mexico City, Monterrey, and Guadalajara. You get to experience all that central Mexico and the colonial heartland have to offer while also being close to North Mexico. It's also close to amazing natural attractions like numerous waterfalls at Huasteca Potosina and the Las Pozas garden.
* The food scene is absolutely incredible! Street food all over and we tried pozole for the first time in San Luis Potosí and it really blew our minds! So good and we're absolutely hooked now.

In this video, we take you with us on a walk around the city and discuss our first impressions. We for sure were not experts about the city when filming this video, and still aren't. But at the time of filming, we were seeing most of the sights for the first time. If you're wanting an in-depth look at the city from an expert, look elsewhere or stay tuned because this is a city we'll be spending a lot more time at in the future and becoming much more knowledgeable about. :)

To all of you who are subscribed and watch our videos, thanks so much for your continued support! You all are the best and keep us going. Seriously! :) If you are new here and enjoy our 'style', if you can call it that :D, please consider subscribing. It's free and easy and really helps us out.

We'd love your thoughts and insight on San Luis Potosí, both the city and the state!

Thanks for watching! We don’t currently have a Patreon but if you enjoyed our content and would like to buy us a cup of coffee, here’s a link to our PayPal tip jar!

???????? CERRO de SAN PEDRO | San Luis Potosí's BEST KEPT SECRET! | 2020 Mexico Travel

???????? SAN LUIS POTOSÍ, MEXICO - Hola amigos and welcome to another 2020 Mexico Travel video! This is part 7 of my 10 part series this year, following on from past trips to Mexico over the last 3 years. This time, we are heading an awesome Pueblo Magico (magic town) AND Pueblo Fantasma (ghost town), No, not Real de Catorce, this time it's Cerro de San Pedro!

Cerro de San Pedro is high in the mountains to the north-east of San Luis Potosí City itself. As with much of the region, it's well-known for its mining history. Nowadays, mining is carried out using open-pit mines; detonating explosives is the method of choice for extracting gold from the rock.

In addition to the small Pueblo Magico, you can visit a number of former mines (essentially, a ghost town) on the outskirts of Cerro de San Pedro. Explore old buildings, scramble through cacti and undergrowth and generally have an adventure in an area of Mexico very few international tourist know about!

I've been to SLP three times now. As always I would 100% recommend it to anyone considering a Mexico trip or Mexico vacation; perhaps even if you are thinking of moving to Mexico! The variety, food and the people are nex-level. There are plenty of things to do in San Luis Potosi! Trust me!

How did I get there?
Catch the 25 bus from Alameda Park (one with Rio Verde in the window). Get off near Los Gomez and find a taxi. The taxi may not take you the whole way meaning you will need to walk around 4km as I did. Alternatively, just rent a car!

WATERFALL OF TAMUL - IS IT WORTH IT? Traveling MEXICO (San Luis Potosi)

Visiting the waterfall of Tamul in Mexico in this Travel Vlog, was one of the most insane things I've seen in a long time! Exploring this waterfall is definitely one of Mexico's best things to see and getting there is an epic journey.

Special thanks to Marc and Paulette - The Two Travelers In Mexico for helping us see the wonderful San Luis Potosi'. I am really surprised it isn't a top Expat Retirement destination. We've been all over Mexico and this is perhaps one of the best downtowns of all!

SAN LUIS POTOSI, MEXICO - Hola amigos and welcome back to the beautiful San Luis Potosi! In this video we are not only checking out an awesome classic car show in Plaza de los Fundadores, but also trying one of San Luis Potosi's signature dishes, ENCHILADAS POTOSINAS!!

San Luis Potosi HAS TO BE on your itinerary if you're planning a Mexico trip or vacation in 2019. It's a pretty city with so much to do in not only the city but also in the surrounding areas (Huasteca Potosina, Real de Catorce etc) which will be featured in videos soon.

*Before you comment, please note that I AM AWARE that I said empanadas twice BY MISTAKE but you know what I mean. Secondly I AM AWARE that Burritos ARE eaten in Northern Mexico, by saying they are Tex-Mex and not Mexican, I am referencing places I have been so far in Mexico*

Conoce toda la HUASTECA POTOSINA en 10 minutos. Drone & Gopro

Is this the BLUEST WATER on Earth?! | Minas Viejas and El Meco | Huasteca Potosina, Mexico

Hey guys! Is this the bluest water on Earth?! We explore Minas Viejas and El Meco Ecoparks in the Huasteca Potosina, Mexico to find out!

Our trip through the Huasteca has been filled with bluer than blue waters and stunning waterfalls but our trip to Minas Viejas and El Meco in this video really took it to another level! We have never seen bluer and more paradisaical looking water than we saw on this trip! If you think we have edited the water to look that way you'd be wrong...it really was as blue as it looks!

It is a place we will never forget and we're not sure we'll ever find water that color anywhere again! Enjoy! :)
