We had only 3 hours in Rouen, capital of the northern French region of Normandy, before the next train. Here are several places from our walk along the tourist route: Cathédrale Notre-Dame de Rouen, St. Maclou Catholic Church, Saint-Ouen Abbey Church, Le Gros-Horloge, Courthouse, Place du Vieux-Marché and St Joan of Arc's Church, Hotel de Bourgtheroulde, Square Charles Verdrel. I regret that I had so little time. May 2023.

I doubt there is any better rental in all of Annecy. The view is magnificent. Owned by a hotel magnate, the flat is well-appointed and modern in style. White and red dominate the color palate. Jean Baptiste was quite helpful at check-in and during our stay. The flat has three bedrooms, but one is larger (the master). The smaller bedrooms share a bath.

Today we visited some places near our camping in Recoubeau.
Saint-Nazaire-le-Désert is a little village (pop. about 200) of the Drôme on the banks of the Roanne, about twenty kilometers from La Motte-Chalancon.
Populated since prehistoric times, especially by Chasseans, the territory of Saint-Nazaire-le-Désert develops mainly in the Middle Ages around small fortified places and perched sites. It was not until the end of the 14th century that the inhabitants descended from their homes in height, settling rather near the water points. Mainly turned to agriculture and very isolated until the French Revolution, the town then expanded its production to the vineyard and fruit
