The Moselle is a river flowing through France, Luxembourg, and Germany. It is a left tributary of the Rhine, which it joins at Koblenz. A small part of Belgium is also drained by the Moselle through the Sauer and the Our. Its name comes from the Latin Mosella, meaning the Little Meuse (Mosa in Latin). The river gave its name to two French départements: Moselle and Meurthe-et-Moselle. The source of the Moselle is at the western slope of the Ballon d'Alsace in the Vosges mountains. The Moselle flows through the Lorraine region, west of the Vosges. Further downstream, in Germany, the Moselle valley forms the division between the Eifel and Hunsrück mountain regions. Its total length from source to mouth is approximately 546 kilometres (339 mi). The Moselle was celebrated in Mosella, a Latin poem by Ausonius (4th century). In the 20th century, the river and the folklore and local history of the towns along its banks were described by British travel writer Roger Pilkington. In the tale, The Seven Swabians of the Brothers Grimm, the eponymous Swabians drown trying to cross the Moselle. The Moselle valley between Metz and Thionville is an industrial area, with coal mining and steel manufactures. The Moselle valley is famous for its beautiful scenery and the excellent wine produced. Most well-known is the German Mosel wine region, while the Luxembourgish winegrowing region is called Moselle Luxembourgeoise and the French region is called AOC Moselle. Most notable among the wines produced here are Riesling, Elbling, Müller-Thurgau, Kerner, and Auxerrois. The German part of the Moselle is a popular tourist destination. An important asset is today's Moselradweg, the 311-kilometre (193 mi) long cycleway from Metz to Koblenz, which also connects to nine other cycleways. The Moselle has been made navigable for large cargo ships up to 110 metres (360 ft) long from the Rhine in Koblenz up to Neuves-Maisons, south of Nancy. For smaller ships it is connected to other parts of France through the Canal de l'Est and the Canal de la Marne au Rhin. There are locks in Koblenz, Lehmen, Müden, Fankel, Sankt Aldegund, Enkirch, Zeltingen, Wintrich, Detzem, Trier, Grevenmacher, Palzem, Apach, Kœnigsmacker, Thionville, Richemont, Talange, Metz, Ars-sur-Moselle, Pagny-sur-Moselle, Blénod-lès-Pont-à-Mousson, Custines, Pompey, Aingeray, Fontenoy-sur-Moselle, Toul, Villey-le-Sec, and Neuves-Maisons.

La Place Duroc est le véritable poumon de Pont-à-Mousson. Il s’agit d’une Place unique en Europe car elle est triangulaire et à arcades.
Au milieu de cette jolie place de l’époque Renaissance se trouve une fontaine qui rend hommage au rôle héroïque des ambulanciers américains pendant la guerre.
Cette place accueille également une des maisons les plus spectaculaires de Pont-à-Mousson : la maison des 7 péchés capitaux qui, sur sa façade, met en avant les 7 péchés capitaux.

In the middle of this beautiful place of the Renaissance period is a fountain honoring the heroic role of American ambulance during the war.
This site also hosts one of the most spectacular homes of Pont-à-Mousson: home of the 7 deadly sins, which on its facade highlights the seven deadly sins.

The video shows Saintes-Maries-de-la-mer, the capitol of the Camargue in the south of France. The fortified church was built from the 9th to the 12th century. It can be seen from 10 km away. In 1888 Van Gogh made several paintings of the seascape and the town. In the early 20th century Hemingway and Picasso visited the town. The vicinity was used as a setting for various films. Saintes-Maries is especially famous for its oldest tradition which consists of being the meeting place for the gypsy people. Their rich folklore and music attract many visitors all throughout the year. A beautiful beach of white sand gives access to the Mediterranean Sea. The city's bullring offers bullfighting shows. For Campers there are more options to stay overnight. Three RV/CP parks directly at the city and another fourteen in the area.

We hebben wel ontdekt dat vloggen een intensieve bezigheid is op onze oude dag. Om een leuke vlog te maken houdt het niet op bij het maken van opnames, zo ben je al reizend telkens bezig met verschillende camera's om de opnames zo te schieten zodat je later zo min mogelijk werk te hebt er een vlog van te maken. Vaak heb je een uur materiaal wat in een vlog van 10 tot 15 minuten verwerkt moet worden, dus dat is telkens een puzzel.

Auf der Anreise zum Überwintern in Spanien im Winter 2023 haben wir uns als Etappenplatz den kostenlosen Womo Stellplatz in Maury im Süden Frankreichs ausgesucht. Der Stellplatz liegt in der Nähe der Katharerburgen Peyrepertuse und Quéribus in Okzitanien etwas westlich von Perpignan kurz vor der spanischen Grenze und den Pyrenäen. In diesem Reisebericht zeigen wir Euch den Platz, den Winzerort Maury und die schöne Umgebung.
