Worlds Best Selfie Location Has 6 Hour Long Wait Queues
Nestled away off the coast of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, is Pedra do Telégrafo, which is portugese for Telegraph Stone, which is one of the most popular photo opps in South America.
This particular hanging rock over a cliff, is constantly flooded by tourists who wait in line to take pictures while hanging off the stones edge.
But the cliff isn't actually a cliff at all, in truth, the rock is about 2m above the ground, even if you fall, nothing serious will happen.
But when a photo is taken from the just right angle, cropping out the rocky ground below, it can fool people into thinking, that the people in the photo took a great risk just to get that shot.
Pedra do Telegrafo is atop a 354mtr hill and can take about an hour to hike up to the rock, which is located in Pedra Branca State Park in Rio, which is about an hour’s drive west from the tourist area of Rio de Janeiro.
►How to Get to Pedra do Telegrafo, Brazil (Rio de Janeiro)
To get there, you can take a bus to Barra de Guaratiba, walk a distance to a rather inaccessible area, find your way through a run-down neighbourhood, getting frustrated with the lack of English speakers, hike up the hill, to find a long queue already formed (it was reported that the queue can get up to 6 hours long).
1. From your neighbourhood in Rio de Janeiro, take a bus to Terminal Alvorada.
2. Find a blue express bus to Malto Alto station.
3. Take the local bus 867 towards Barra de Guaratiba.
4. Alight at Barra de Guaratiba and walk towards the yellow church.
5. Take the stairs besides the church to an alleyway.
6. The alleyway is the start of your hike.
7. Follow the yellow painted footprints.
8. Take your highly sought-after, extremely deceiving shots!

Paraty is a coastal historic town in the state of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. It was first settled by the Portuguese in 1667. Its old churches, cobbled streets and nearby forests, waterfalls, islands and emerald-green sea attract lots of tourists interested in mixing cultural tourism and more natural settings. It is one of the best cities to visit close to Rio De Janeiro and it is definitely one of the best travel destinations in Brazil.
Paraty grew in the 18th century as a strategically important port for exporting the gold mined in Minas Gerais. When shipments in nearby Rio began to attract the attention and ambition of pirates and privateers from rival European powers, the Portuguese began using Paraty as their safe port for getting their gold to Lisbon. Together with Ouro Preto, the town was part of the Royal Road (Caminho Real or Caminho do Ouro, Gold Road), a route used to export gold in colonial times. It was also an obligatory sleep-over stop for travelers between Rio and São Paulo until the late 1800s, when the inner road was opened. This caused Paraty to be forgotten, stalled in time, away from progress and disfiguration and helped it preserve its old city as it was in the past. In the 1970s, it was rediscovered as a popular tourist destination.
The historic town is compact and can be covered on foot; cars, save for taxis picking up or dropping passengers, are not allowed into the historic city center. The rough boulders of the old city streets would quickly destroy the shocks of most cars anyway.

Trilha do Rio Grande com grau de dificuldade baixo e prazer alto????, são 800m de extensão em trajeto circular com duração de 30 a 40 minutos e ideal para todas as idades.
Após a Trilhinha a dica é aproveitar para fazer um piquenique e tomar um delicioso banho de cachoeira.
A trilha fica no Parque Estadual da Pedra Branca (acesso Pau da Fome) que é uma unidade de conservação ambiental situada na Zona Oeste da cidade do Rio de Janeiro. É considerado uma das maiores florestas urbanas do mundo, com cerca de 12.500 hectares de área coberta por vegetação típica da Mata Atlântica.

Como chegar: Pelo largo da Taquara, Jacarepaguá, entrar na Estrada do Rio Grande e seguir até o Largo da Capela, onde termina a Rio Grande. Entrar na Estrada do Pau da Fome e seguir em frente uns dez minutos até a entrada da sede. Distância entre o Centro do RJ e a sede Pau-da-Fome (Jacarepaguá): 35 Km.

Rio de Janeiro is a huge seaside city in Brazil, famed for its Copacabana and Ipanema beaches, 38m Christ the Redeemer statue atop Mount Corcovado and for Sugarloaf Mountain, a granite peak with cable cars to its summit. The city is also known for its sprawling favelas (shanty towns). Its raucous Carnaval festival, featuring parade floats, flamboyant costumes and samba dancers, is considered the world’s largest.
Rio de Janeiro is one of the most visited cities in the Southern Hemisphere and is known for its natural settings, carnival, samba, bossa nova, and balneario beaches,such as Barra da Tijuca, Copacabana, Ipanema, and Leblon. In addition to the beaches, some of the most famous landmarks include the giant statue of Christ the Redeemer atop Corcovado mountain, named one of the New Seven Wonders of the World; Sugarloaf Mountain with its cable car; the Sambódromo (Sambadrome), a permanent grandstand-lined parade avenue which is used during Carnival; and Maracanã Stadium, one of the world's largest football stadiums.The city has parks and ecological reserves such as the Tijuca National Park, the world's first urban forest and UNESCO Environmental Heritage and Biosphere Reserve; Pedra Branca State Park, which houses the highest point of Rio de Janeiro, the peak of Pedra Branca; the Quinta da Boa Vista complex; the Botanical Garden, Rio's Zoo; Parque Lage; and the Passeio Público, the first public park in the Americas.[39] In addition the Flamengo Park is the largest landfill in the city, extending from the center to the south zone, and containing museums and monuments, in addition to much vegetation.
Since 1961, the Tijuca National Park (Parque Nacional da Tijuca), the largest city-surrounded urban forest and the second largest urban forest in the world, has been a National Park. The largest urban forest in the world is the Floresta da Pedra Branca (White Rock Forest), which is located in the West Zone of Rio de Janeiro.

CACHOEIRA DA PEDRA BRANCA - PARATY - RJ - BELEZA DOS SEUS OLHOS
Cachoeira da Pedra Branca está entre as mais movimentadas de Paraty. Por ser uma das mais tranquilas e belas da região, ela faz parte da rota comum de passeios de jeep. A cachoeira está localizada em área particular, próxima à estrada Paraty-Cunha, e o acesso pela pista de terra pode ser complicado para veículos sem tração. Se estiver indo pela primeira vez, prefira fazer o trajeto em 4x4 para conhecer o caminho antes de se aventurar.
A primeira parada do passeio é o Poço Usina. Com seis metros de profundade, o poço marca o local onde foi construída a primeira usina de força da cidade. Nos passeios de jeep, não há parada para banho nesse ponto, apenas para fotos. Você verá parte da casa onde funcionava a usina, poderá experimentar algumas bananas silvestres oferecidas pelos funcionários da propriedade e ainda irá se divertir com os pássaros e miquinhos que correm para experimentar o fruto totalmente orgânico.
Com uma pequena trilha de dez minutos, você chegará à Cachoeira da Pedra Branca. O local oferece bons pontos para mergulho, além de permitir o banho nas quedas d'água. Os mais habilidosos poderão subir o paredão de pedra e aproveitar os poços acima, onde uma rocha com buraco oval bem desenhado pela água permite um delicioso banho quase escondido. @belezadosseusolhos
