-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Los Angeles, also known as the ‘city of Golden Angels’, is a massive and vibrant city in the United States that has something for everyone. In this video, we’ll show you some of the best tourist places to visit in Los Angeles, from gorgeous beaches and fun theme parks to great museums and shopping malls.

First up is Venice Beach, one of the must-visit places in Los Angeles. With its gorgeous sandy beaches and blue waters, this lively beach is a popular spot for skateboarders, rollerbladers, joggers, and street performers.

Next on our list is Universal Studios, one of the best tourist places in Los Angeles. It's not just a working studio, but also has amazing rides based on movie themes. You can take a tour of the place and observe several popular movie sets. The most popular rides are The Simpsons, Harry Potter, Transformers, and the Walking Dead.

The Getty Center is a huge museum located on a hilltop in the mountains of Santa Monica, and it's one of the best tourist attractions in Los Angeles. The gardens itself have beautiful sculptures that pave the way into the complex. They have a great collection that consists of European drawings, paintings, sculptures, decorations and photography from the later centuries.

Santa Monica Beach is another popular tourist place in Los Angeles. You can walk along the beautiful sandy shore that is often filled with surfers, yoga devotees, skateboarders and the techies. When you finally reach the pier, you will find the famous Ferris wheel. Most people visit to take a ride on this Ferris wheel.

The Museum of Jurassic Technology is a unique museum that has nothing to do with dinosaurs but has a lot of other unusual sights. Some of these include incredibly tiny sculptures and a bat that can fly through walls. This institute combines both fact and fiction and does a great job at that. It's one of the popular tourist attractions in Los Angeles.

The Griffith Observatory is located in the Griffith Parks which is also where the Los Angeles Zoo is located. It's really a planetarium where you can look through a Zeiss telescope and observe the moon and the stars. This is one of the must-visit places in Los Angeles California.

The Hollywood Walk of Fame is one of the most popular tourist places in Los Angeles. You can take a stroll along this area and observe the pink terrazzo with famous artists' names in gold. If you are a celebrity fanatic, then there is a Chinese Theater with famous hand and footprints to be visited.

Disneyland Park is the perfect family destination and is one of the best tourist places to visit in Los Angeles. It almost makes you feel like you’re in Disneyland with all the rides and the various activities that are set in perfect coordination with the Disneyland themes. It has 7 different lands based on different scenes. The park itself has 4 theme parks and 2 water parks. The ‘incredicoaster’ would be the most popular ride which is a massive roller coaster that has a huge drop.

The Broad is a museum that is one of the best tourist attractions in Los Angeles for free. And there is much more in the video.

Back in the 70s, Malibu was a refuge of sorts for all kinds of oddballs, misfits, and eccentrics. You had shaggy-haired beach bums, hitchhiking teens full of wanderlust, and wealthy Baby Boomers from New Hollywood who were attracted to Malibu's artsy, boho vibe.

Sadly, those days are in the rearview mirror. The counter-cultural icons of yesteryear are now either dead or retired and Malibu is no longer a place where the average individual could afford to live. Even so, Malibu is still one of the best places in California to escape the lights and noise of the big cities.

It's hard to believe that this laid-back coastal town is just a 40-minute drive up the Pacific Coast Highway from LA. Residents like to boast that their town has 21 miles of scenic coastal beauty and many celebrities call Malibu their home. You'll notice this quickly if you drive around town. Malibu is full of privacy hedges and gated communities. If you're lucky, though, you might even see a star out and about.

The climate is consistently pleasant with temperatures ranging from 49 degrees to 76 degrees F year-round. The coastline is loaded with nooks, pocket beaches, and scenic vistas overlooking seas cliffs, and the wildlife is flourishing and diverse.

There are so many reasons why a visit to Malibu is a must if you're passing through the area. To give you a better idea of what to expect, Viewcation has compiled a list of what we believe are the top sights and attractions in and around Malibu, California.

Point Dume Day Trip: One of Malibu’s Top Scenic Spots

If you’re short on time, but want to see Malibu, take a drive to Point Dume. Incredible scenery, short, easy hiking paths, and you can stand on the same spot where Tony Stark’s home once stood.
Point Dume blog post:

MY MAIN GEAR:
Camera Body -
GoPro HERO 4 Black -
Rode Mic -
Canon Lens-
Tokina Lens-
GlideCam Stabilizer -
Camera Bag -

Point Dume is a nice little spot tucked away behind a very wealthy neighborhood. I wouldn’t say it’s a secret spot considering it’s so famous, but it’s not easy to find unless you’re looking for it. If you’re heading to Zuma for a beach day, you’ll see it directly south of you. Parking is tough. This “state park” only has about 10 spots. I suggest going on a weekday and not in the summer, if possible.

You may recognize the area from Iron Man or Planet of the Apes. Both were filmed at Point Dume along with a number of other TV shows. Point Dume, Malibu really has it all: bluffs, beach, history, film culture, wealth, and scenery. It’s definitely a must-see when heading to Malibu!
