Remorqueur de 700 ch PLATANE 1958-1989
Le remorqueur de 700 ch PLATANE a ét mis en service en 1958 à l'Unité Marine Oran. En 1959 il fut affecté à la Direction du Port de MERS-el-KEBIR jusqu'à la cesion de cette base navale à l'ALGERIE indépendante.
Il fut ensuite rapatrié sur la Direction du Port de la base navale de TOULON où il a ét en fonction jusqu'en 1989 avant d'être retiré du service.

Le Château des Nymphes, Munich / Nymphenburg Schloss, München ( Deutschland)
The castle of the Nymphs, the aptly named, mirrors its long baroque facade in a body of water populated by swans. Its grand ballroom is a rococo masterpiece, bright and sparkling. Populated by beautiful ladies and chinoiseries, it is as strange as the little pavilions scattered around the large park. The Amalienburg, a real jewel of a small palace. Or the Badenburg, the first private heated swimming pool, dating from the beginning of the 18th century!
Das treffend benannte Château des Nymphes spiegelt seine lange Barockfassade in einem von Schwänen bevölkerten Gewässer wider. Sein großer Ballsaal ist ein Rokoko-Meisterwerk, hell und funkelnd. Bevölkert von schönen Damen und Chinoiserien, ist es so seltsam wie die kleinen Pavillons, die im großen Park verstreut sind. Die Amalienburg, ein echtes Schlösschen, ein wahres Schmuckstück!. Oder die Badenburg, das erste private beheizte Schwimmbad vom Anfang des 18. Jahrhunderts!
Le château des Nymphes, le bien nommé, mire sa longue façade baroque dans un plan d’eau peuplé de cygnes. Sa grande salle de bal est un chef d’œuvre rococo, lumineux et étincelant. Peuplé de belles dames et de chinoiseries, il est aussi étrange que les petits pavillons, disséminés dans le grand parc. L’Amalienburg, un véritable bijou de petit palais. Ou le Badenburg, la première piscine chauffée particulière, datant du début du 18e siècle !

A Pathé Baby 9.5mm film about the caves and the fishermen of Morgat, the resort on the Presqu'île de Crozon, near Douarnenez in Britanny. Some of the footage of cliffs and caves is a bit washed out, but the most telling part is near the end, where it switches from a picturesque sequence of grimy fishermen singing allegedly naïve melodies to a solitary shot of a gleaming white hotel where we implicitly belong. Un film Pathé-Baby 9,5mm qui montre les grottes et les marins-pêcheurs de Morgat, la station sur la Presqu' île de Crozon près de Douarnenez en Bretagne. Si le métrage des falaises et des grottes est un peu fané, la conclusion du film est plus significatif. Après une séquence « pittoresque » au sujet des marins qui portent des vêtements sales de travail, on voit tout à coup une vue d'un grand hôtel luisant, frais et blanc -- où, bien sûr, nous sommes descendus. Morgat -- its Grottoes and The Tarn Cañons
If I was beginning to have a suspicion that one of the major subtexts of the Baby travel films was about class attitudes, these two films brought the idea right to the fore. In the Vallées de la Têt et du Tech I was struck by the life of the picturesque farmer in contrast to the denizens of the palatial hotel and spa; in Lerida I was brought up sharp by the dress of the women performing their immemorial custom at the well -- as if there was any other way of obtaining water other than, unthinkably, sending the men for it. In MorgatI was forcibly struck by the way in which the tourists' pleasure was based on the physical work of the boatmen, and here we get more boatmen, transformed by the magic of editing into fishermen at the end of a fishing trip, in the same rough clothes as the others and keeping up their spirits by singing some naïve melody. Ha! Lol.
In fact, physical labour is the second subtext theme that I am uncovering. The films were taken in an age (which in some cases probably was much earlier than I had been supposing -- at least one Pathé Baby travelogue dates in other forms from 1911) when an enormous proportion of work was done by sheer muscle power, from the farmer's mowing to the boatmen's rowing to the straining limbs of the horses pulling carriages. And this does contrast nicely with the leisure of the tourists, in their hotels, spas, carriages and cars. One person's picturesque excursion was another's hard labour. But I guess that this is still true of much tourism. And maybe the sheer need for the hard labour made it less demeaning.
A final thought: the English-titled versions of these films do tell a lot about their age from their style of writing -- and presumably the French ones do too. Naïve melody is just the tip of the iceberg for the practice of using a picturesque word where a plain one will do. Really, the writers were still looking at nature and ordinary people through the glasses of the romantic poets. And nowhere does this show more than in the use of the word grotto for cave in the Tarn and Morgat films. It's a cave, for goodness' sake. Grottoes only feature in fairy stories and Father-Christmas myths. The most sobering thought of all is that future generations will be able to decode the hypocrisies and rose-tinted views that doubtlessly run through all our holiday videos -- which they may very well still find helpfully archived on Youtube!

Maintenant que l’ouragan est passé, on entame la liste de projets pour réparer ce qui est brisé sur Atypic; le vérin hydraulique, les ordinateurs, le cellulaire… Entre les tâches quotidiennes on trouve le temps de s’amuser avec nos amis dans le mouillage, on se fait entre autres un souper poutine Québécoise en Martinique, on part en randonnée jusqu'à la plage des Salines, on fait un tour de pirogues polynésiennes bâties à la main et Atypic se transforme même en camp de jour pour 1 soirée !
