Gorges du Verdon: A Fun Day at Verdon Gorge, One of the Most Beautiful Places in France
Have you ever heard of Gorges du Verdon in France?
Verdon Gorge is a river canyon in central Provence, a 2h20min drive from Nice and Marseille.
Gorges du Verdon, the deepest gorge in France, is carved by the Verdon River and offers plenty of opportunities for hiking, trekking, white-water rafting as well as boating, kayaking and SUPing on the lower end of the gorge where the river flows into the Lac de Sainte Croix.
You can hire an electric boat, a kayak or SUP at the Plage de Chabassol, near the Pont de Saint Croix.
There are several parking lots and restaurants. However, if you're planning to spend the day at Gorges du Verdon, I recommend that you prepare a bag with some food and drinks because the restaurants get very busy, the service isn't good and there aren't many options.
You can hire a boat at Verdon Gorge from May to September, from 9h to 19h, and the prices are:
Eletric Boat: €40/1h; 70h/2h, max 5 people
Pedalo: €20/1h; €35/2h, max 4 people
Gorges du Verdon is a perfect day trip from Nice or Marseille and shouldn’t miss it when you visit the famous Côte d'Azur, because it's one of the most beautiful places in France.

Das Obere Mittelrheintal ist eine naturräumliche Haupteinheit innerhalb der Haupteinheitengruppe Mittelrheingebiet am Mittelrhein. Sie erstreckt sich rheinaufwärts im Südosten etwa bis zu einer Linie, die die Rochuskapelle in Bingen mit dem Niederwalddenkmal in Rüdesheim verbindet, und rheinabwärts im Nordwesten bis zur Lahn-Mündung in Lahnstein, unmittelbar oberhalb von Koblenz.
Das Obere Mittelrheintal liegt in Rheinland-Pfalz, am südlicheren Ostufer auch in Hessen, und trennt den Taunus im Osten vom Hunsrück im Westen.
Am 27. Juni 2002 wurde das Welterbe Kulturlandschaft Oberes Mittelrheintal mit dem nach Norden leicht erweiterten Verlauf bis zur Moselmündung in Koblenz in die Liste des Weltkulturerbes der UNESCO aufgenommen.

The primary intersection at this spot was worked for Huningue Palace and was obliterated by French soldiers in 1797. The Three Nations Extension is situated at the specific place where, on 20 October 1944, the Huningue barge span was annihilated by Partnered combustible bombs. From that point until the kickoff of Palmrainbrücke for street vehicles in 1979, the German government parkway number 532 finished now with a vehicle ship crossing. So as not to obstruct the view from Spot Abbatucci (Huningue focal square) alongside the Lament de France and across the waterway to Weil-am-Rhein Hauptsrasse on the contrary side (as well as the other way around); the scaffold is constructed only north of the line of these streets.
The scaffold is a curve span with a middle path, and at 229 meters (751 ft) is the world's longest-range walker span. Its all out length is 248 meters (814 ft) with no vehicle access inclines. The curve rise is estimated at just 20 meters (66 ft), and the most noteworthy point is around 25 meters (82 ft) over the water, with the scaffold deck around 14 meters (46 ft) underneath the curve crown. Found in cross-area, it is unbalanced to help structure.
