Bhavnagar Beaches - Ghogha Beach | Kuda Beach | Koliyak Beach | Hathab Beach - 9 Days Road Trip
This time we will have different landmarks to visit, Bhavnagar Beaches. There are mostly 4 popular beaches are there to visit in Bhavnagar.

We visited these 4 beaches in 4.5 hours duration of time. But I would like to come here again separately to spend more time. Bhavnagar beaches are really beautiful and must be develop properly so tourist can attract more here.
Ghoghla Beach is now become popular because of Ro Ro ferry service by which you can move with your vehicles from Bhavnagar to Surat.
Kuda Beach is also pupular among peoples and many come here to enjoy there good time.
Koliyak Beach is basically knowns for Nishkalank Mahadev Temple which is in ocean. During specific time only, you can visit that temple else it will cover by ocean water as you can see it in this video.
Hathab Beach is getting popular day by day because of it's cleanliness and good atmosphere. Hathab Beach is also known as Hathab Bungalows Beach, Hathab Golden Beach, Golden Sand Beach.

10 Victoria Park
Victoria Park was built in 1888 by Maharaja Takhtasinhji of the Bhavnagar city.
Here, bright flora, birds, butterflies and elusive fox population welcomes everyone.
one can easily spot birds like Bulbuls, Robins, Tailorbirds, Peacocks, Spotted Owl, Shikra, Common Peafowl, and animals like Nilgais, Foxes, etc. The biggest species found in this park are Leguminoceae and Poaceae.
There are 223 bird species, 15 mammalian species and 20 reptile species. Inside the park, there are some nurseries where one can see some unique variety of plants.
There are two water bodies inside — Gaurishankar lake and Krishna Kunj lake , where a number of migratory birds nest regularly.
a picnic site is also developed inside the core area of park with many benches, tables, & concrete block pavements.
Multiple types of accommodations are available nearby the park for tourists.

2 Gaurisankar talav/ Bortalav Lake
Lake spreaded over an area of 381 hectare is also locally known by name of Bor Talav after the illustrious Gaurishankar Oza.
It was built in 1872 as a water reservoir for drinking water & today it is one of the most preferred tourist as well as picnic spot in bhavnagar.
The adjoining balvatika , musical fountains, planetarium, boat house and many more attractions provides ideal joy for a day out with nature and family.

निष्कलंक महादेव – गुजरात – अरब सागर में स्तिथ शिव मंदिर – यहां मिली थी पांडवों को पाप से मुक्ती
गुजरात के भावनगर में कोलियाक तट (Koliyak Beach) से तीन किलोमीटर अंदर अरब सागर में स्तिथ है निष्कलंक महादेव। यहाँ पर अरब सागर की लहरें रोज़ शिवलिंगों का जलाभिषेक करती हैं। लोग पानी में पैदल चलकर ही इस मंदिर में दर्शन करने जाते है।
इसके लिए उन्हें ज्वार (Tide) के उतरने का इंतज़ार करना पड़ता है। भारी ज्वार (Heavy Tide) के वक़्त केवल मंदिर की पताका और खम्भा ही नजर आता है। जिसे देखकर कोई अंदाजा भी नहीं लगा सकता की पानी की नीचे समुंद्र मैं महादेव का प्राचिन मंदीर स्तिथ हैं। यहाँ पर शिवजी के पांच स्वयंभू शिवलिंग हैं। पांडवो को लिंग रूप में भगवान शिव ने दिए थे दर्शन :

Hazira-Ghogha Roro Ferry. Travel between Ghogha-Hazira via Roro Ferry to reduce distance between Surat and Bhavnagar in Gujarat. We travelled between Bhavnagar and Surat via Roro Ferry by DG Sea Connect traveling between Hazira Port in Surat and Ghogha Port in Bhavnagar. It reduced the travel between Bhavnagar to Surat by 4 hours. It operates daily twice, one in morning and one in the evening. Hazira-Ghogha Ferry made it easier to commute between these two cities.

This time we visited few popular places in Bhavnagar city which are listed below.

We started to visit these places from early morning and completed by noon as we had another plan for evening.

RoRo ferry at Ghogha
This video is about nearby beaches from Bhavnagar City. Bhavnagar has a coastline at the distance of about 20 kms. There are beaches which are mainly from the Gulf of Cambay. The nearest Beach is Ghogha. Ghogha is a dockyard. Ghogha has also a jetty which takes RoRo ferry from Ghogha to Hajira near Surat. It shortens the distance from Ghogha to Surat by about 8 hours of journey.
Ghogha has a nice beach which also has a light house. Ghogha beach is about 20 kms from main city of Bhavnagar. People also trade sea food from Ghogha to other city.
Another beach is Kuda beach which is very close to Ghogha Beach. We visited the same and enjoyed a lot.
One more beach near Kuda is Koliyak. Koliyak beach is also famous for the temple of Shiva in the midst of the sea. People have to walk around 3 kms in the sea to reach this temple. One can go to this place when there is no high tide. During the high tide the temple is sunk and only the pillar of the temple and its flag is visible. Once the tide goes then people can reach the temple.
Many people from around Bhavnagar and from other parts of Gujarat visit this place. There are number of sea gul birds on the beach. Also flamingoes do visit every year at this beach.
We had a chance to go to another beach Hathab which is closed to Koliyak. Hathab is a village and there is a beach close to the village. There is also facility to stay at this beach. This beach is also known as Golden Sand beach as the sand is golden colour here.
We left the Hathab beach after sun set. It was wonderful trip for all of us.
