Kuinka telttailla Kiinan muurilla?
TÄSSÄ OHJEET:
1. Gubeikou (古北口 Gǔběikǒu) on Beijingistä n. 130 kilometriä pohjoiseen ja n. 3-4 tunnin matkan päässä kaupungin keskustasta. Kiinan muurin nimi on ”Panlongshan” eli ”Coiling Dragon Mountain” (蟠龙山). Osoite: Southeast of Gubeikou Town, Miyun County, Beijing
2. Valitse Pekingissä metrolinja 2 tai 13 (ennen klo 8 aamuruuhkaa) ja saavu Dongzhimen pitkän matkan bussiterminaalille.
3. Nappaa expressbussi numero 980 ja matkusta noin 1.5-2 tuntia Miyun kylään pysäkille ”Miyun changtu chezhan” (密云长途车站). Suosittelemme käyttämään busseissa julkisen liikenteen ladattavaa matkakorttia, sillä matka on tällöin puolet halvempi kuin käteisellä matkustettaessa. Bussikortti pitää leimata bussin sisälle saapuessa ja toisen kerran bussista poistuttaessa. Matka Pekingistä Miyuniin maksaa noin 6 yuania (1 euro).
4. Älä huomioi kalliita minibusseja tai taksikuskeja, jotka hyökkäävät haukan lailla kimppuusi bussista ulos astuessasi. Kävele siihen suuntaan, josta bussi saapui, ylitä risteys oikealle päin ja kadun varresta löydät bussipysäkin Gubeikouhun. Hyppää ensimmäistä bussia pienempään bussiin (bussi numero 25), joka ajaa noin tunnin välein Gubeikouhun reilun 50 kilometrin matkan. Matka maksaa kortilla maksettaessa 4 yuania ja kestää 1,5-2 tuntia.
5. Gubeikoussa lähin bussipysäkki muurin sisäänkäynnin luona on pysäkki juuri ennen suurta Gubeikoun tunnelia ”Yong Jun Road” (拥军路). Jos ajat vahingossa tämän pysäkin ohi kuten me teimme, seuraavapysäkki on muutaman sadan metrin päässä kyläkaupan kohdalla.
6. Pääsymaksu muurille on 25 yuania (4 euroa).
7. Muurille pääsee nopeimmin kylän vasemmalta laidalta ylöspäin lähtevää polkua seuraten.
8. Jos haluat kokea muurilla vaeltamisen päinvastaiseen suuntaan (kuten me teimme), kävele pienen sympaattisen kylän läpi tien vierustaa pitkin noin viiden kilometrin matka, jonka jälkeen saavutat muurille johtavat pitkät portaat. Tämä on lähellä Kiemurtelevan lohikäärmevuoren päätyä: oikealla vastaan tulee armeijablokki ja vasemmalla 13 kilometrin matka muuria pitkin takaisin kylään.
9. Hyvä vaihtoehto olisi ollut syödä lounas kylällä, sillä siellä oli paljon paikallisia ravintoloita ja olisimme säästyneet painavan ruoan kantamiselta.
10. Jos yövyt muurilla, muistathan siivota jälkesi. Toivomme, että paikka pysyy yhtä puhtaana ja alkuperäisen näköisenä vielä tulevaisuudessakin, jotta seikkailuja rakastavat pääsevät nauttimaan tästä ainutlaatuisesta kokemuksesta!
11. Bussi nro 25 takaisin päin lähtee ison tien varresta kauppaa vastapäätä olevalta bussipysäkiltä. (Kauppa on tunnelin jälkeen samalla puolella tietä kuin missä Kiinan muurin sisäänkäynti on.)

Burbex - Brin's Urban Exploration presents the first episode of THE DEAD HOTEL SERIES. In this edition, Burbex explores an abandoned 5 star hotel complex in the rusted heart of North East China.
Vaulting through windows and squeezing between closed doors, Burbex thoroughly explores the abandoned hotel uncovering a glorious central lobby with a fake cliff, delapidated rooms complete with skanky beds and TVs, plus abandoned ballrooms. Burbex also explores the massive auditorium where he recieves a special award from the Communist Party of China, as well as another award from the police. Finally, Burbex takes to the roof for some first class views of humble Tieling, but the question still remains - is Dragon Mountain Hotel really haunted?
Yunsong Hotel is located on the bank of the famous Qinghe Reservoir, which is a major provincial tourism development zone. It is surrounded by green mountains and beautiful waters, surrounded by mountains, rolling hills, pines and cypresses, and clouds and mists. Looking east, the 54 square kilometers of clear water is connected to the sky and reflects the mountains. Simple, rich natural resources, excellent ecological environment, multi-functional infrastructure, is a wise choice for your home travel, leisure vacation.
Yunsong Hotel covers an area of 1.4 square kilometers and a building area of 7,800 square meters. The building is in European style. The building consists of the main building and the annex. There are 44 standard guest rooms, 7 suites, and large and small conference halls, of which the large conference hall can accommodate 200 people at a time. There are ktv private rooms with different styles, Chinese banquet halls, zero-point restaurants, and multi-functional halls. Tribes from North-east India at Hornbill Festival Opening Ceremony
The major tribes of Nagaland namely - Ao, Angami, Chakesang, Chang, Kachari, Kuki, Sumi perform during the opening ceremony of Hornbill Festival at Kisama Heritage Village, Nagaland.
Nagaland, 'The Land of Festivals' and the warm Naga people, lies in the North Eastern part of India. Historically, the Nagas are known as headhunters and have always been brave warriors.
Sometimes Nagaland is also referred to as The Switzerland of the East. The region is primarily hilly and has a pleasant climate all through the year. It is perhaps the best place for the adventurous at heart and makes an ideal place for trekking and camping.
Also known as Paradise on earth The Dzukou Valley is the most famed valley of Nagaland and the natural beauty of the area is absolutely captivating.
Another attraction for tourists is the Kohima War Cemetery. The cemetery is a tribute to the soldiers who laid down their lives pushing back the Japanese army during the Second World War. The bodies of around 1,100 British and 330 Indian soldiers are buried here.
One of the biggest cathedrals of North East India is located at Aradura Hill in Kohima. Its magnificent architecture makes it an important landmark of Kohima.
The Hornbill Festival is named after the Hornbill, a large, magnificent forest bird.
Held every year at the Naga Heritage Village in Kisama about 12 kms from Kohima, the festival is held over a period of 10 days annually. The entire Heritage Village was built for the sole purpose of hosting this festival and the16 tribes of Nagaland each have their own representative hut in the village. Organized by the Govt. of Nagaland, the festival showcases the entire spectrum of the rich culture of the various Naga tribes.
The Hornbill festival was created to bring together the various tribes of the State to display their culture and tradition in the form of dances, songs, sports, foods and many other colourful events. People from within India as well as foreign visitors experience and witness the colourful festival with great enthusiasm.
Delicious, mouth-watering and typically Naga food from the different tribes is served in various huts or morungs. Each Morung also has its own restaurant, which serves their specific tribal delicacy. Rice beer is always in great demand and tourists don't mind standing in long serpentine queues for a taste of the same.
