Cidade e Município do Estado de Goiás, com 1 046 km² última atualizaçao da populacao era de 19 614 habitantes. Localizado na zona do Planalto, produz basicamente feijao e milho e desenvolve a criaçao de gado ( bovino, suíno,caprino,asinino) O natural ou habitante de Abadiania é o abadianense.

Um dos principais pontos turísticos de Abadiânia é o lago artificial formado pela usina hidrelétrica de Corumbá IV, que gera energia para o Distrito Federal.[10] Porém, na cidade o lago não é usado para fins de abastecimento. Também não há uma área pública às margens do lago, restringindo o acesso aos proprietários de fazendas ou de lotes.
