If you’re coming to Cyprus, I’m sure you’re going to be thinking about all the delicious food you’re going to eat. So here are a few of our top tips where (and what) to eat whilst in Cyprus. For breakfast, grab something fast and delicious to take on the road. There’s so much to see, and not a second to waste! The bakeries here are incredible, everything’s freshly baked and huge! Perfect car snacks, along with great coffee to go. Mini pizzas, savoury pies or perhaps you’d prefer to indulge your sweet tooth with the fabulous biscuits and pastries on offer... fruit filled to the classic, decadent baklava... heaven! For lunch, make it a stop on your adventure, and take the chance to go somewhere with character. Our tip for finding the best food - look for locally owned taverna style restaurants, and you’ll definitely be onto a good thing! They’re more likely to serve traditional food and purchase locally sourced ingredients, putting your money back into the local economy. We had a great lunch at Oniro By The Sea, a taverna looking onto a shipwreck. It has traditional food on the menu but also safe bets like burgers - if you’re travelling with the family. For dinner? Give yourself a chance to wind down... and take the best shortcut EVER to trying loads of different kinds of Cypriot cuisine, by ordering a mezze! Where you’ll get a selection of smaller dishes. So we’ve found a restaurant along the seafront and we’ve ordered mezze. And I love ordering mezze because it means you’re going to get loads of different flavours from the Cypriot menu. Here we’ve got the salad, we’ve got their traditional bread which has cinnamon in it, got some tzatziki, aubergine dip, obviously halloumi, and there’s gonna be more and more coming. Even the British, who were the island's rulers until 1960, contributed to Cypriots' food tastes. Perhaps it's just as good to know that the Mediterranean diet is among the healthiest around the globe. Like neighboring Greece, cooks make use of the fresh and local ingredients
available, including pulses and grains, fresh fruits and vegetables, fresh vegetables and herbs, lean meat, seafood, olive oil and other fish.
However, the island's geographic location and history have further influenced its food through commerce with the Middle East, British colonization, French and Italian occupation, Turkish invasion in 1974 and the ongoing divide between those from the Turkish Cypriot north and the Greek Cypriot south. Cyprus’ BEST Street Food (A Day in Limassol)
Trying the best street food at the Cyprus sea side street food festival. Join me during this day in the Life in Limassol, Cyprus.
While visiting the street food festival by the sea in Limassol, I took my camera with me and recorded a VLOG to show you all the food options we have.
I tasted different meals and drinks and I really enjoyed this day. There are many different varieties from many cultures and countries. The options were endless!
I drank Czech beer, self-made lemonade, and many other drinks. And for food I tried a unique black croissant with shrimps, a super juicy burger, German bratwurst and Italian pizza.
Did you know that pizza can be made within 2 minutes? That's fascinating.

The kids club was brilliant, the food was excellent and the entertainment was on point.
All the staff were friendly and helpful. Happy, helpful and nothing was too much for them.
We had a pool view room and the sunset.

On July 13th, I came back to Cyprus after a three-week trip in Crete. I am currently finishing my Cyprus and Crete episodes and am looking to finish a few big academic projects I have set aside for a while. I have to get ready for the fall semester soon, so I am also using this time to finalize the course syllabi. I will be uploading all of my videos in the next few weeks. I am also planning on documenting my life in Cyprus as a local.
In this episode, I show some of the restaurants I visited in Paphos. Since I only eat once a day, it is very important for me to have a delicious meal everyday. I mostly rely on Google Map to make a quick decision. For fine-dining and reservations, I consult Tripadvisor.
