IPHONE 11 PRO - THE PERFECT VLOG CAMERA?!
What's up, everybody! Today, I'm sharing my thoughts and experience around the iPhone 11 Pro and how I spent a week vlogging with it! Is this the new perfect tool for vloggers who want something powerful, compact and lightweight at the same time? Let's find out!
I used the iPhone 11 Pro in all kinds of scenarios, such as during a sunny day, evening and night, overcast, busy streets, doing timelapses, indoors, low light etc.
I hope you found my video useful, as I wanted to show you a real-world example of how a vlog can be done with this phone, not just a normal test and review.
Also, in this video, I introduce my new Youtube Studio; my van! It's a perfect solution as it's small and cosy which gives a nice vibe but also great for audio quality. Since I don't have a spare room to create in, this is a perfect solution since we are not currently exploring the world with the van ;)

Took my new iPhone 11 Pro Max out for a quick test today. Love that they now have the extended dynamic range in 4K 60, and I love that the front camera shoots 4k/60 with extended DR as well!

Welcome back to another video. As I bought the iPhone 11 Pro Gold today I thought to film a little unboxing and a makeup video using and testing the IPhone 11 Pro which claims to be the best video camera on a phone out there! I filmed the video in 1080 HD 60 fps on the back camera with a use of almost the full zoom ( telephoto lens)!

My first few videos are bikepacking product reviews from bike seat packs, frame packs, top tube bags, mountain bike platform pedals...etc.
After the product reviews my solo 1800 miile, 77,228 feet of climbing bikepacking trip starts from Boise, Idaho up to the Canadian border on dirt and back on pavement.
iPhone 11 Pro + DJI Osmo Mobile 3 - 4K Cinematic Footage | Into the woods ????????
INSTAGRAM:
It was time to switch to my new mobile filmmaking gear the iPhone 11 Pro + DJI Osmo Mobile 3 :) I used all three lenses (Ultra Wide, Wide, Telephoto), no external lense, no ND Filters or Polarizers, just the iPhone. Most of the clips are recorderd in 60 fps and slowed down to 30 fps, Timelapses are 30 fps in general and Super Slow Motion recorded in 240 fps (Upsized from Full HD to 4K).
I tried many new filmmaking apps before, but got back to FILMIC PRO again. Editing Software is Adobe Premiere Pro.
I got some great support from my friends girlfriend, thank you so much :)
MY THAUGHTS about the iPhone 11 Pro + DJI Osmo Mobile 3:
ULTRA WIDE LENSE: Amazing angle (perfect for landscapes and nature), really smooth with the Osmo Mobile 3 (I even didn´t have to stabilize most of the clips in post). The quality and the light intensity is definitely improvable but not bad for the first lense of this kind on an iPhone. Sometimes you can´t balance it really properaly on the gimbal because than you will se a small part of the upper gimbal motor, otherwise you have to crop in arround 2 % and move the frame a little bit, so no big deal. Filmic Pro isn´t yet working perfectly with this lense, if you switch off the internal image stabilization in the Filmic App, you will get some really wired framerates, I was in contact with the Filmic Team and they say it will be fixed in the next Firmware Update.
WIDE LENSE: Nothing much to say, working perfect like always, no troubles.
TELEPHOTO LENSE: I think it´s my favourite one now. Working perfectly with the Osmo Mobile 3, really clear picture, good light intensity, really good quality, I just love it. I don´t need my external 58mm lens which I had on the iPhone 8 to make this depth of view.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: There is a lot going on about external lenses on Youtube and Co. Some people say it´s not working with the Osmo Mobile 3 and the iPhone 11 Pro. I tried it by myself... I put the 58mm Telephoto Moment lense on top of the Telephoto and Wide angle lense from the iPhone, I bought the counterweights from Ulanzi (3x 20g), put all of them to the gimbal and it was working. Really heavy but possible with smooth movements.
Motion Timelapse and Hyperlapse (Tracking) in the DJI Mimo App is only working with the wide lense, hope they will to a Update in the future too. If you figured it out already, please let me know :)
