????Go follow Jeffrey Merrihue:

Thank you to my friend Jeffrey ( for inviting me to dinner at Alchemist, a once in a lifetime eating experience. Jeffrey is an amazing friend of mine, and we meet up from time to time in various cities to eat. If you’re ever in LA, go check out Jeffrey’s amazing deli and wine bar:

World's Most Travelled Hotdog Stand - But first, before we had dinner at Alchemist, we pre-gamed with some hotdogs for social change, at the World's Most Travelled Hotdog Stand. The hotdogs were outstanding and a great way to spend our afternoon. #Copenhagen #Alchemist #Food

Alchemist ( - When Chef Rasmus Munk opened reservation for 3 months at a time, it SOLD OUT in 3 minutes! It’s one of the hardest restaurants in the world to make a reservation, and that’s because it’s one of the most insane, thought provoking, creative, and full rounded dining experiences you can have in the world. It was not just a meal, but an entire journey, a meal with a message behind every dish.

50 courses - Although many were just a single bite, there were 50 different course tasting, and the meal lasted 5 ½ hours. We journeyed from room to room, each with its own unique design, artwork, and theme.

Chef Rasmus Munk ( is a creative genius, a deep thinker, and an activist, who expresses his mind and thoughts through delicious food. Thank you to Chef Rasmus Munk for having us and for being so welcoming and cool!

Thank you also to Visit Copenhagen ( for supporting my trip to Copenhagen, Denmark.

Restaurant Alchemist - a holistic dining experience in Copenhagen

The gastronomy scene in Copenhagen is ever-evolving, and Alchemist who opened its 10 square meter bronze doors to a “holistic cuisine” experience in the summer of 2019 is currently the star of the show. The combination of their 50 “impressions” menu and the restaurant space’s jaw-dropping interior is talk of the town right now and aims to manifest Copenhagen as a world-class foodie destination.

A visit to Alchemist is far from your typical dining experience. Guests venture on a journey in a physical space designed to make an impression for all senses. This is part of the holistic dining experience. Besides, the food served will evoke taste buds and thoughts on the world alike with dishes that comment on the world surrounding us. On the menu you can find dishes like “Plastic fantastic” and a lamb’s brain in cherry named “think outside the box” as a comment to modern-day food waste.

The mind-boggling restaurant space is located in a massive industrial building in Copenhagen’s rustic, up-and-coming Refshaleøen area. Here, Chef Rasmus Munk works to redefine and broaden your understanding of dining.

THE ALCHEMIST EXPERIENCE: 50-course dinner at the WORLD'S MOST AMAZING RESTAURANT

Restaurant Alchemist is one of the world’s most unique restaurants. Alchemy is an ancient practice, shrouded in mystery and secrecy. Its practitioners looked for a way to turn lead into gold. Rasmus Munk does quite the same at his restaurant Alchemist, but instead of turning lead into gold, the chef turns a meal into gastronomic theatre. The new Alchemist redefines the term “experience dining”. During a culinary ride with up to 50 culinary impressions in different areas, guests are guided on a journey through Rasmus Munk’s culinary dream. A form of gastronomic theatre that has not been seen before and which will impress even the most experienced gourmet lovers. A must, plain and simple.

No. 1 Restaurant in 2016 and 2018. How about now? - Osteria Francescana (Massimo Bottura)

Massimo Bottura is truly an icon.
He’s a TV personality, businessman and humanitarian who is driven to make the world a better place. In 2019, he was named one of the one hundred most influential people in the world.
But still, he is best-known as the man who turned traditional Italian cuisine upside down.

Massimo opened Osteria Francescana in 1995. In 2002, he gets his first Michelin star, in 2006 he gets the second, and in 2012, the third. It’s the only Italian restaurant named No. 1 by the Worlds 50 Best Restaurants. And not once, but twice!

Denmark Food - BEST SMØRREBRØD + Lunch at 800 Year Old Castle!

????Copenhagen Street Food Tour:
????T-shirts and caps:
Thank you to Visit Copenhagen:

On this Denmark food tour we started off in Copenhagen for some of the best smørrebrød in the city, and then drove outside of the city to visit Dragsholm Castle for an exquisite meal in an 800 year old Danish castle! #Denmark #Copenhagen #DanishFood

Aamanns Deli & Take Away ( - One of the best and most well known restaurants in Copenhagen for smørrebrød (the Danish open faced sandwiches) is Aamanns. They’ve taken the sandwiches to the next level, using creative ingredients, and balancing every sandwich to perfection. They are truly an art form. I had an honor to be in the kitchen and see them assemble these pieces of artwork. We tried a classic traditional pickled herring, followed by roast beef, and finally a steak tartare. An amazing smørrebrød experience for breakfast!

Æblerov ( - Cider - On the way outside of Copenhagen, we stopped at Æblerov, a small cider producer. Very cool place, and we got to sample a few different types of cider.

Dragsholm Castle ( - One of the highlights of this Denmark food tour was visiting Dragsholm Castle and meeting with Chef Claus Henriksen. They specialize in Nordic Cuisine, using mainly local ingredients grown or sourced from around the castle. The restaurant in the cellar is a Michelin Star restaurant, and we enjoyed a selection of incredible dishes. What I liked is that everything is focused vegetables and produce, with meat there to support the vegetables. The highlight dish for me was fried hemp (cannabis) leaves in butter, with wild duck. What a dish and what an experience. The hemp leaves were delicious! The only thing I wish is that we would have had time to spend the night in the castle after eating lunch.

Muld ( - Organic Farm Restaurant - Finally to finish off this amazing day of Danish food, we drove to Muld, an outstanding farm to table meal experience where they literally use only ingredients they have on their farm for their food - everything from the vegetables and herbs to the meat. We enjoyed some delicious pork, juice, and pickled vegetables. Great place and amazing owners.

Thanks to Esben ( for taking me around!

Again, thank you to Visit Copenhagen ( for supporting my trip to Copenhagen.

$225 Massive ROYAL SEAFOOD PLATTER in Copenhagen, Denmark!

????Copenhagen Street Food Tour:
????T-shirts and caps:
Thank you to Visit Copenhagen

Copenhagen, Denmark - If you look at a map, you’ll see that Denmark has an immense amount of sea coastline - from the different islands and peninsulas that make up the country. Seafood has and always will be a major part of Danish food and culture. And so today we’re focusing on seafood in Denmark, starting from the source of the fishermen to some amazing people serving incredible seafood.

Fishing port - To get started in the morning we first drove about 30 minutes outside of Copenhagen to a small fishing port to meet up with a fishermen and see his fresh catch of the day. Most of his catch was cod, and a few trout.

Kødbyens Fiskebar - To get the seafood tour started we then drove over to the Meatpacking district of Copenhagen and to a restaurant called Kødbyens Fiskebar, a seafood restaurant serving a modern take on Danish seafood. Their dishes are even tastier than they look, and they are some of the most beautiful seafood dishes I’ve ever seen, so delicate and artful. The food was undoubtedly fresh, and we had an amazing meal.

Cykelkokken - Chef Morten Kryger Wulff ( also known as the bicycle chef, is an amazing man who has created a custom bicycle kitchen. After seeing some of the urban hanging seafood gardens, we then got started cooking. Chef Morten made oysters and champagne, followed by a stir fry of vegetables and mussels in a spinach leaf wrap. Gourmet food, amazing people, and an incredibly fun experience. Thank you to Chef Morten and the entire team from Cykelkokken. Highly recommended when you’re in Copenhagen!

Krogs Fiskerestaurant - Seafood Restaurant - Finally to finish off this seafood tour of Copenhagen, Denmark, Esben and I went to Krogs Fiskerestaurant, one of the original seafood restaurants in Copenhagen, a legendary restaurant. We knew exactly what we wanted to order, the moment we sat down - the Royal Danish Seafood platter. It was everything I had expected and more. A wonderful classic restaurant, and truly a Royal Danish seafood experience! Total price - 1,510 DKK ($225.58)

Thanks to Esben ( for taking me around!

Again, thank you to Visit Copenhagen ( for supporting my trip to Copenhagen.

Insane Food in Romania - GIGANTIC MEDIEVAL BBQ + Mangalica Hairy Pig!

????Copenhagen Street Food Tour:
????T-shirts and caps:
Ferma Dacilor:

This was the ultimate Romanian medieval BBQ meat feast. Huge thank you to Nassim ( and Cristian ( for setting up this incredible trip. #Romania #RomaniaFood #bbq

Meat Paradise in Romania at Ferma Dacilor ( - During my trip to Romania, we went to a place called Ferma Dacilor, one of the most unique and special meals and food experiences of my trip to Romania. The entire concept is straight farm to table, where nearly everything they serve, from the meat to the vegetables and seasoning, are grown, produced, and aged, on location at the farm.

Medieval BBQ Cooking - Not only is the food fresh and local, but they strive to cook things in the ancient way, they way their ancestors cooked - over fire, rustic, iron, and huge portions of Romanian food.

Along with the 110 KG pig they roasted whole, one of the highlights for me was trying Mangalica pig, a type of hairy pig that almost looks like a sheep. The fat is said to be quite healthy, with little to no cholesterol. The meat was fatty and delicious.

Huge thank you to Cornelo and his entire family for hosting us and for making our time at Ferma Dacilor so memorable. One of the best Romanian food experiences!

Danish Food Tour - PORK SANDWICH + Legendary Restaurants in Copenhagen!

????Copenhagen Street Food Tour:
????T-shirts and caps:
Thank you to Visit Copenhagen:

Legendary Danish food tour in Copenhagen! One of my favorites types of restaurants to eat at anywhere I travel, are the older, legendary restaurants. So when I was in Copenhagen, I was excited to take a day and go on a legendary Danish food tour, eating at a few of the classic restaurants, and eating some serious classic Danish food. #Copenhagen #Denmark #food

Harry’s Place - Grill Bar - 68 DKK ($10.04) - We started at Harry’s Place, a neighborhood corner grill bar, known for their roasted pork sandwiches. The skin was so crispy, and it was a great place to get this tour started.

Tivoli Gardens - Historical Amusement Park - Next we headed to Tivoli Gardens, one of the oldest amusement parks in the world. Along with walking around and enjoying the scenery, we headed straight to one of the most classic of all restaurants within the park.

Restaurant Grøften - Tivoli Gardens - Restaurant Grøften serves a selection of classic Danish food, including open faced sandwiches, and full plate dishes. We tried a cutlet topped in shrimp, as well as a Danish style schnitzel, which I found out is quite a bit different from other versions that I’ve ever had - Danish style. Total price - 1,150 DKK ($169.81)

Restaurant Kronborg - Easily the highlight Danish food meal of the day was going to the legendary Restaurant Kronborg, a basement restaurant and drinking hall. Their food was incredible, and Esben and I had the Gentlemen’s Lunch set which included an array of traditional style Danish open face sandwiches. What a meal, and I loved the atmosphere and ambiance. Highly recommended when you’re in Copenhagen!

Restaurationen - Finally, to wrap up this legendary food tour of Copenhagen, we ate at Restaurationen, a more modern, yet still traditional Danish restaurant. The food was refined, but delicious, and elegant. Total price - 1,325 DKK ($195.65)

Thank you to Esben (Chef - Rødder for taking me around!

Eating The BEST FOOD in Lebanon - Massive Family Lunch!

????Ultimate Street Food Tour in Beirut:
????T-shirts and caps:

Huge thank you to Kamel and the entire Taha family. When you’re in Beirut, go check out their amazing boutique grocery store called Feryal Mouneh Boutique ( And follow Kamel here: Of all the food I ate in Lebanon, for me the best Lebanese food is home-cooked, often on Sunday.

Sunday Family Lunch in Lebanon - There’s a lot of amazing food you can eat in Lebanon, but nothing quite compares to a Sunday family lunch. Having a chance to eat lunch on Sunday with a family is the greatest display of Lebanese food, culture, and hospitality, all wrapped into a single celebration of Lebanese food. It was an honor to have a chance to hang out with the Taha family and celebrate Sunday lunch with them. #Lebanon #LebaneseFood #food

Fifi (Kamel’s Mom) made an impressive spread of home-cooked Lebanese food - including a mix of dishes, the highlights being stuffed cabbage rolls, and stuffed intestines and grape leaves. When I asked Kamel what dishes he missed the most from Lebanon when he goes traveling, or when he lived abroad, and he said, him and his brothers always come home and ask Mom for stuffed intestines.

It was nothing short of an epic home-cooked meal, one of the most memorable of my life, and to be surrounded by such an incredible family was a privilege.

Thank you again to Kamel and the Taha’s (
