LJUBLJANA SURPRISED US! (Slovenia Vlog)
We made it to our 24th country of #Slovenia on November 20, 2019 and our first stop is in the capital city of Ljubljana! For a capital city, Ljubljana Slovenia really surprised us. We didn’t expect there to be so much charm, history, gorgeous architecture and delicious food!
While it was a rainy day, we made the most of it by exploring some of the best things to do in Ljubljana Slovenia. First, we started our day at the Ljubljana Castle overlooking the capital city. The views atop the castle are the best you’ll find in Ljubljana so don’t miss it!
Next, we made our way down to Ljubljana’s city centre where we ate lunch, explored the Ljubljana central market and walked across the famous dragon bridge to Prešeren Square. This is where you’ll find the most iconic photos of Ljubljana Slovenia. At Prešeren Square, you’ll find the beautiful pink church called Cerkev Marijinega oznanjenja (The Franciscan Church of the Annunciation). Also, connecting the square to the South is Ljubljana’s famous Triple Bridge, which was designed by the architect Jože Plečnik.
After wandering around the river and charming alleyways of Ljubljana Slovenia, we made one final stop at a local chocolate shop to stock back up on dark chocolate before heading back to the Airbnb.

The Last Day in Ljubljana
My last days of the year in Ljubljana. Amazing light all day long, through the rivers with “nutrias” and up into the castle, into small city streets with bikes and churches. Nights were enlighten by those science-mood Christmas decorations, driving us straight to Chris Liebing’s concert. Music, fireworks, friends and love. Welcome 2017.

Ljubljana is the capital of Slovenia and instantly on our must travel list! You really need to visit this place and explore the city.
Fortunately, finding things to do in Ljubljana is easy because of how walkable the center is. The Ljubljana Castle on the hill over looks the old town centre and the Tivoli Park is right next door as well.
The main attractions are so close to each other it makes a day of walking around and looking for what to do quite easy, in fact we spent an entire day on foot and ticked off most of the top things to do quite easily.
Best advice we had was to travel up the funicular towards the Ljubljana castle about 7pm so we could catch sunset over the old town - worth it!
Hopefully this travel vlog points you in the right direction for when you're considering what to do in Ljubljana, we've got videos from Slovenia (all in the city) and between all of them they should cover the very best of the main attractions!

Sleeping in a Slovenian Barn - Strange Airbnb | Slovenia Winter Road Trip with The Endless Adventure
We are now in beautiful Slovenia! Along with Eric & Alison from The Endless Adventure, we spent the morning walking amongst the Slovenian vineyards and enjoyed some delicious Slovenian wine and food in the centre of Maribor, the second largest city in Slovenia!
We also set off on a road trip to the Slovenian countryside where we had a very unusual Airbnb experience!

Best European Airbnb | Barn In Slovenian Mountains + Travelling To Ljubljana With Endless Adventure
We found the best European Airbnb at a barn In Slovenian Mountains. We then travel to Ljubljana with the Endless Adventure for Christmas markets and turning on the lights.
The best part of the mountains besides the views was the copious amounts of animals. Although the Slovenian winter is freezing we would come back again, ideally in warmer weather.

I spent a weekend in Slovenia visiting Ljubljana and Lake Bled, and it was definitely one to remember! It is such a magical and mesmerising country. And, perhaps I even saved the best till last for 2018! I plan to come back again in 2019 during the summer months.

Kyiv to Ljubljana | Slovenia Vlog Part 1
The first part of our Slovenia Vlog! Mariana begins her tour as a soloist in an orchestra, and her first performance is in Slovenia, so we leave Ukraine and road trip to Slovenia. We had a very long road, sleeping in the bus at the border with Slovakia, making a detour to Brno, Czechia to pick up the remaining orchestra members, then finally reaching Slovenia. So we had to make do with gas stations and fast food until we finally got a chance to check out some restaurants and coffee shops in Lubljana's old town, in between Mariana's rehearsal sessions for her concert. Most Wonderful Time Of The Year
Christmas season is by far my favourite time of the year. One difference in 2016 was the distance between me and my loved ones in Canada. I vowed to make this holiday season one to remember, so I soaked in as much holiday spirit, glühwein (mulled wine), and Christmas treats to make up for it.
