Least Visited Countries in The World - WhyShould You Visit These Lesser-Known Countries?

When it comes to traveling, everyone usually talks about are the mainstream locations. You know, countries that literally live from tourism. But very rarely do we hear anyone talking about the least visited countries in the world (the unpopular tourist countries). You probably don’t even know some of these remote countries that we'll mention on this list but hopefully, this article can show you that no matter how remote, isolated or seemingly-hostile a country might appear, every country in the world has its charm and natural beauty that make it worth visiting.

How did we evaluate what's the least visited country in the world and what's the methodology behind figuring out what are the least traveled to countries?

For this article, we used news reports and international arrivals from airports. Counting tourists can be tricky because different countries use different methods of defining and counting tourists.

Additionally, some people claim to be tourists to avoid the extra bureaucracy that comes with being an ex-pat or traveling for business and that makes things even more difficult. This list doesn't include countries that see a drop in tourism because of armed conflict.

The reason for this is simple; before the war conflicts in all these countries began, some countries like Syria, Lybia, Iraq, and Yemen would host millions of visitors every year.

On average, both, Syria and Iraq had 5-6 million visitors annually before the conflicts of 2011 and 2014, Lybia had around 1 million visitors per year before 2011 but today, they don't even issue visas anymore while Yemen would usually get around 800,000 tourists per year before the start of the civil war. That's still a lot more than any other country on this list.

Spoiler alert: it might come across as a surprise but communist North Korea is no longer on this list, with almost 300,000 international tourists a year. That's almost 6 times more than the first country on this list! Watch the video to see what are some of the most obscure countries you should visit.

10 Most Dangerous Countries for Americans or Westerners.

You know some countries are more dangerous than Detroit or a Lingerie party at my cousin's ex-wife's house. Yes, it's hard to believe, I know.
In general, the world can be a dangerous place. You could be in danger no matter where your plane lands. The thing is, some countries excel in danger. And some even bump that up a notch depending on where you hail from. If you think everyone in the world loves America and its people, you’ve lived a sheltered life and I want to congratulate you on escaping from where ever you were and are now able to get on the internet to watch this video.
The fact is, some countries are dangerous for everyone, especially Americans, so much so the Dept. of State updates a report every couple weeks called Travel Advisory. This is a report that ranks the danger level a country might have for Americans that travel there. It has colors like a mood right of danger and goes from level 1 Blue that Exercise normal precautions, up to 4) Red Do not travel.
In today’s video, we're looking at the top 10 Level 4s and find out why.

10) Syria
9) Burkina Faso
8)South Sudan
7)Yemen
6)Venezuela
5)Mali
4)Iraq
3)China
2)Iran

All These Countries Got Almost Identical Flags

There are 197 recognized countries in the world and each of them has its national flag. And the flags of the world are just as diverse as its people. Or not? Okay, if you can identify any country's flag without looking it up, you're cool cause it's really difficult! The trick is that some countries have flags so similar they will give even a geography fan a hard time.

SUMMARY:
- Australia and New Zealand have a lot in common, but their flags just look way too similar. Both of them are essentially a blue field with Union Jack to represent their British colonial past in the top inner corner.
- Flag of Monaco is using the heraldic colors of the shield of Monegasque royal family arms. The flag of Indonesia is a reminder of those times when it was associated with the Majapahit Empire.
- Flag of Venezuela has stripes equal in size, an arc of stars in the middle and the national coat of arms in the upper hoist corner. The flag of Ecuador also features the national coat of arms, except it’s right in the middle.
- Norway and Iceland have derived their flag from their peer – Denmark. So both feature a white Scandinavian cross and a color combination of red and blue.
- Flag of Luxembourg didn’t stem from the Netherlands but developed on its own. The two banners differ in the shades of blue and their ratio: 2:3 for Netherlands and 3:5 for Luxembourg.
- The flags of Egypt, Iraq, Yemen are based on Arab Liberation Flag of 1952. They consisted of three equal horizontal stripes of red, white and black.
- Flags of Bahrain and Qatar are often mistaken for one another, but local people will assure you they are completely different.
- The Russian tricolor became the inspiration for flags of many countries in eastern and southern Europe.
- Croatia and Paraguay have a tricolor in the same order of colors as their national banner.
- It takes a real flag expert to spot any differences between the flags or Romania and Chad. That difference is in the slight variations of shades between the blue, yellow, and red vertical stripes.

I Just Got Banned From North Korea

North Korea is the most isolated and interesting country in the world. I had the chance to visit Pyongyang for 3 nights, 4 days back in April 2017 - and shortly after I left, Americans became banned from visiting. To this day, I think that I'm one of the last dozen Americans to step foot in North Korea, and I'm glad that I'm here to tell the stories. In this video, I share 4 reasons why I will never go back to North Korea.

Just out of curiosity - have you ever been there, or are you planning to go (if you don't hold a U.S. passport?) Let me know in the comments down below!
